Al Mare Hotel

The hotel is in a lovely location. The room was big, roomy and clean, with a beautiful view from the balcony. Breakfast lovely. The staff were so helpful. Nothing too much trouble. Highly recommend this place.

What a lovely place - lovely large pool, on the beach, great people and lots of sunbeds. No getting up at 6am. The rooms are good, large but if you had to pick, a simple re-furb on the bathroom would be great. The numerous pubs and restaurants on the main road are 3 mins away, so close enough, but the hotel is in a quiet spot. Walk around the headland, and some good places to chill, listen to music, drink and lay in the sun - try Makai. Thanks for a great break.

Although we didn’t stay in the hotel , we visited the pool area most days whilst on holiday. There is a choice of sun beds pool side , on the grass and a few on the beach. Mr D came every day to say hello and collect money for sun beds. He was very witty and entertaining and came round with a free shot every day . Food at the snack bar was very good and lots to choose from . Brilliant location and views .

Visited this hotel restaurant to have lunch. We sat in the cool shade overlooking a stunning sea view. Great service from Alex and had delicious fresh fish and mussels in a gorgeous tasty sauce. Homemade desserts especially the cheesecake. All cooked by Alex's Mum. We would highly recommend. Thank you

Lovely hotel, very good food. Unfortunately, had a very large family trying to take over all of the sun beds on the beach and letting their children actually poo on it. Not very good for other users, if they are actually allowed any space or sun beds.

We stayed here during September 22 and were delighted with the accommodation ,location and fabulous sea views and pool . Loads of sun loungers and a lovely grassy area poolside garden. Sheets and towels changed daily . This would have been a 5 star review were it not for the breakfast which was left out from 8- 10.30 and lukewarm at best. Constantly having to ask staff for additional cups plates etc which was surprising as the rest of the day the staff were so attentive. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

This hotel is amazing, we ate here last year and loved the service and the food we decided to book here to stay for a week. The only downside I would say is the breakfast, it would be nicer if it was a pre order rather than a buffet, it is left for a good couple of hours under the hot plates. Food at lunch and drinks are superb.

We love this hotel, great location, great pool and atmosphere, brilliant, helpful, friendly staff and really clean rooms with fresh towels, beach towels and even fresh dressing gowns every day..we have stayed here on our last three visits to Tsilivi. This year they had a mother and son team who ran the food service, usually we only use the hotel for afternoon snacks before venturing out for a meal later on, but we stayed in the hotel one night to try the local cuisine now available..wow!! Some of the best Greek dishes I've had in Zante and the home made desserts are to die for, I don't usually write reviews but I really think the standard of food is so good that they definitely deserve more people to know about it and hopefully get to sample home made greek food at its best.

Just back from a wonderful 7 day stay at the Al Mare hotel. A great location on the beach and also very close to local bars and shops. From the moment we checked in we felt instantly relaxed which is the vibe of the hotel. The room was a perfect size for myself, sister and two teenage nieces to share. Comfortable beds and a good bathroom with powerful shower. Cleaned daily to a high standard. Large balcony overlooking the beautiful sea, was so nice to drift of to sleep listening to the sea. Little bottles of shampoo,conditioner and body wash are supplied and toped up when needed. And the room had a little fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast was available from 8 to 10 each morning and the quality and choice was good from fresh pastries, cold meats and cheese to a cooked breakfast all whilst taking in the view of the sea and looking across to the harbour,a perfect way to start the day. A good size pool which I didn’t use preferring to lounge on the beach each day. Plenty of sun beds and towels are provided. The sea is a little stoney to start (swim shoes recommended) but turns to sand after about 10 steps. You can walk the entire length of the beach in both directions from the hotel. Plenty of choice on the lunch/dinner menu. The Greek salad was fresh and tasty and the sole and rice very good to. Not a bad meal was had our entire stay. Plenty to do in the little town of Tsilivi but also a great location for trips to the shipwreck and the Keri caves. Plenty of bars and restaurants close by and a little supermarket just up the road. This was my second visit to Tsilivi but first stay at the Al Mare and I will most definitely be returning to this hotel again. The hotel ticked every box of what we wanted and the team who work there are just so lovely. They really made us feel so welcome.
