Just back from a lovely holiday at Elba Lanzarote. The staff were polite, professional and friendly. The hotel is clean and the meals we had, half board were all good. Plenty of variety and choice even for fussy eaters. We asked for a sunny terrace and the hotel obliged. Loved sunbeds on our terrace too . Our room was spacious and we had the staff in every day who left everything clean and tidy. The location was brilliant for us and only a short walk down to town. There is a shuttle bus if needed several times a day. Couldn't fault anything and we will be returning later in the year, probably all inclusive . Thank you Elba Lanzarote.

We have just returned from a week at the Elba we were impressed with everything food, staff, how clean it all was our only complaint would be the internet when we asked why we were having such a problem the staff said it was because we’re using I Phones not sure why that was. The evening entertainment was also very good we will be returning to this hotel for another enjoyable week. The bar man in the upstairs bar works so hard Dany was always pleasant and smiling .

Ok, we visited with our 6 children age range 19-1. Mixed ages. While the kids had fun we wouldn’t re visit. When we arrived we waited about an hour at reception. Our rooms were average, the terrace was nice, the bathroom was a let down tiny shower and rusty bath, not what you expect from 4 star. We had a bit of an ant infestation too. On the second day our towels were taken and never replaced we didn’t realise until we came to shower the kids. It took reception an hour to have towels brought to us. The whole time we stayed at Elba we were given a bottle of water in our room on one occasion. On the last night when we came to go to bed we noticed that one of our pillows had been removed so we had two pillows for two adults and two kids?! The food, the first two days I would say the food was good. The kids options were always very poor, dried out pasta some form of fish cake/ chicken nuggets, hot dogs, chips, hard rice, tuna in pastry and sometimes mozzarella sticks. There was lots of fish which was ok, good selection of salad and breads, desserts good. The big problem at dinner is that there isn’t enough tables and when they have cleared a table they do not set it back up. Makes it hard to find seating especially if your a large family. You have people who are a family of four sitting on a table for eight. My massive bug bare here was that you couldn’t access your own drinks. So they are meant to come and ask you what drinks you would like but they are that rushed off their feet you often get missed or they are delayed getting to you. I tried to get my own sprite on several occasions and I was told to sit down, someone will come? This is okay if you don’t mind waiting 20 minutes for a drink, or even until you have finished your food. On the last night we waited 15 minutes for tomato sauce, this was frustrating as my son is Autistic and won’t eat without sauce. We asked four times for sauce. Over all the food was average we managed to find something to eat but it wasn’t great. Breakfast was ok, beans tasted similar to that of the uk. I didn’t eat the sausage or bacon. Plenty of fruit on offer, pastry’s. There was lots of dirty dishes and plates, it takes a few attempts to find a clean plate and cup. Another annoying thing which I have seen in several hotels is they don’t turn the tea and coffee machines on at lunch and dinner. Lots of people like to drink tea and coffee after a meal. The queues are long too, especially the main bar of an evening. Some of the staff try their best but again it’s a staff shortage. The snack bar is rubbish the food is cold toasties, sandwiches. Few pieces of fruit and the odd cake. The ice cream freezer is easily accessible and it’s help yourself. There are crisp at the bar too. This is good. There were several other families who were upset with the drink set up at dinner. So this was obviously observed by others too. I think it would make every one’s life easier if we could access our own drinks. It would t

A unique experience, spacious spaces that invite you to enjoy the gardens, the terraces of the suites are a place to relax. But without a doubt, the staff, the care, the details, making you feel special ..... is beyond words. Thank you, thank you, all team do a superb and exceptional job!

The worst part off the trip was being feed raw partially cooked chicken to my family. The hotel manager was more bothered about other hotel guests knowing about this than removing the chicken. After several complaints and a group argument with him involving several guests he admitted it wasn't good. Still took them an hour to remove all the uncooked chicken. As a good will gesture he then sent us a bottle of (cheep) sparking wine. Because my 2 children who spent 2 days vomiting really needed that...... and on a all inclusive holiday. Totally discraceful. So the rooms where OK and we'll cleaned. The wall paper was coming off in places and the pillow cases had holes in. Outside 2 off the 5 central pools where heated and where still considerably cold and only couple degrees warmer than the unheated pools. My little girls where freezing after 15 mins. The sea was considerably warmer than their heated pools. The ques to the bars regularly took 20 to 30 minuets and twice waited over half an hour to get in to feed our children. Once sat down it them took half an hour to get a drink due to the lack off staff and mayhem inside the canteen. By third day we helped our selfs along with other customers untill staff told us not too. We spent second half off the trip eating out after the chicken incident. The hotel premises regularly smelt off sewage throughout the day and we didn't smell this anywhere else in playablanca or lanzarote. Had to pay a deposit for towels and then house keeping took half off them. Half our bedding dissapeard half way through the stay too after the room was cleamed. We will not be returning ever again to this hotel and don't recommend it to anyone.

Great hotel, clean, friendly and all round excellent, entertainment team where absolutely fantastic, they work so hard as do all the staff at the Elba. My negative comment is that after entertainment has finished maybe have a D.J on nightly

The hotel, is excellent - great for a relaxed stay. We had the 'prestige' package which was worth paying for, but this was not universally understood by all staff - so payment for drinks was a lottery (they should have been included but staff did not always know). Despite the problems in this region regarding tourism, staff were generally very professional and friendly, with a couple of notable exceptions which we have addressed to the hotel management separately. Rooms had their own sundeck area and were in clusters of four - they were great and you could relax there without having to go the beach about 15 minutes away if you wished too. Prestige customers have access to a nice pool and snack area (literally a minute away). The atmosphere was calm, relaxed and quiet, with Lanzarote as a whole having a less manic feel than other more 'lively' parts of the Canary Islands. Overall a superb stay and we will be going back. Recommended highly.

First of all your standards are not that of a 4 star hotel waiting time for drinks is pathetic You fed use raw chicken then tried to bribe us with wine or a spa I have noticed since we have been back that you are still serving raw meat you a haven’t listened one bit to the comments people have expressed You are appalling all you do is offer bulls**t excuses time and time again You say all your glasses are washed in a hygiene dishwasher how was it then that after 45 minutes of the snack bar opening you ran out of glasses because nobody could be bothered to go and collect them from around the bins around the pool And I see one of your waiters giving them a quick rinse under the tap then handing them to the waiter to serve people these were not hygienically cleaned our room was ok but the sewage smell was overwhelming I have enclosed pictures of my bed sheet this was on the first day I know sheets are changed on request but I left this on purpose just to see if the room maids changed it which they didn’t all week and you call yourself 4 star sorry but your know we’re even close to a 3 Overall your staff are overworked and not enough off them I should say that from time to time as I check these reviews you will still be having this problem as it seems it’s all about the money and not the guest Please reply if you want but as other guests have said we have heard it all before as we say bulls**t baffles brains
