Hotel Mirador Papagayo by LIVVO

This was our second visit to the hotel & probably even better. Welcomed back upon arrival. Had requested the same room as last year, got one next door. Thank you! The hotel location is perfect for us and we love the view from the sea view suite. So relaxing & peaceful listening to the sea. Everywhere is incredibly clean. All staff are very friendly & hardworking. When we needed help when I was unwell the service was fast & efficient & was very much appreciated thank you. Always got sun beds by the pool. We went all inclusive but ate out a few times as that is our preference. The food choice was great & always found something to eat. The reviews vary so much but it is a buffet & not an al a carte restaurant! The hotel provides excellent facilities for value for money. Again friendly staff & good service. We decided to use the spa this time & what a hidden gem! Had the whole place to ourselves for a couple of hours. What a treat & so relaxing. A fabulous 8 night stay & look forward to seeing you again in September.

This was our second visit to the hotel, having stayed in November last year. I emailed the hotel to ask for a room in a specific area of the hotel and it could not have been any better. Many thanks to Fernandez at reception, who I personally thanked on our departure day. We were on the 5th floor and had a view of the pool, the mountains and the Papa***o beaches. The room was very good with nice comfy bed and pillows, fridge and good aircon. Also, the WiFi had been upgraded and was excellent. Room cleaned daily, free safe, good TV, nice toiletries, powerful rainfall shower, towels changed regularly, beds made etc and all the cleaning staff were very friendly and always say hello when you pass them. Lovely pool and free pool towels. Nice to see the Hot Tub working properly on the 6th floor. Food was very good and I guarantee there is something for everyone if you open your mind and try different things. Usual meats and fish cooked every night, Paella, Asian food, Pastas, Prawns, fresh salads and various desserts. Breakfast was also excellent with plenty to choose from. The people who moan about the food/hotel, would be better staying at home! The hotel is spotlessly clean, it’s in a great location and all the staff are very friendly, professional and only too happy to make your stay enjoyable. We will definitely be coming back for a third time. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Last day tomorrow.as I write I am listening to loud laughter and loud voices coming from the bar terrace: very pleasant for those involved but not so for those trying to get to sleep at just before midnight! All in all the hotel is not as good as last year. Accomodation, pool, drinks all ok still but food is not as good. I suppose allowances have to be made for it being mass catering but allowing for that the food is still bland, Luke warm and of limited variety. I presume they have been given a great deal on tinned sardines as they are and virtual ever present. The equally ubiquitous pasta dishes are "disappointing", luckily there are written clues to the contents of the pasta dishes as it would be very difficult to establish exactly what they were otherwise. You will not go hungry at the hotel but you won't have memorable dining experience either. Most other aspects of the hotel are reasonable and most people seem happy though the comments on the food are generally similar to the ones I have expressed. I won't be returning I'm afraid.

We are still here at the hotel. I’d read bad reviews about the food before we came so I was quite concerned.. Absolutely no need. I’m quite a fussy eater and I’ve not gone hungry. We have gone half board. Food delicious… and warm!! We normally have to buy our water to go with our tea, but not here… even HB guests can have either still or sparkling water for free! We have a beautiful sea view room on the 5th floor- it’s clean, comfy and quiet. All you can hear is the sea and flip flops going past. The room has a free safe, and free pool towels which can be changed daily. You just have to hand them back into reception at the end of your stay! We had a couple of silly room problems, but nothing was too much trouble for the staff- it was sorted immediately. The Reception staff, buffet/waiting on staff and cleaners are all so pleasant and helpful. The pool…even though a bit chilly when you first get in, is fab. There are plenty of sun beds, and it’s all kept beautifully clean. I can’t fault it at all! If you like to be in the middle of all the hustle and bustle of a resort… here isn’t the place as it’s quite a walk away. A nice steady walk will take about 40 mins. But there is a lovely promenade that takes you all the way into the centre and beyond. It’s a perfect walkway for push chairs and wheelchairs! It’s a very inclusive resort. Most shops and bars have ramps into them. We came here to celebrate my husbands 60th Birthday, and I’m glad we chose here! Even though he only got a chocolate from the hotel 😂 I do believe we will return!!

I thought I would make the effort and leave review will we are still in the hotel mainly as a thank you for going above the expected and leaving a lovely present for myself and my wife for our anniversary. So far we have found the hotel and staff to be great. Exactly what we need to take advantage of a child free break for the first time in 15 years. So thank you to the team.

We recently returned from a 10 days family holiday at the Mirador papa***o hotel, Lanzarote is such a beautiful please but was let down but the hotel. My wife is disabled but they usually in a terrible room with so many stairs which was on the family part of the hotel, after speaking to Jet2 they did move us but wasn't much better which I did say it wasn't. The new room had a ant infestation in there which we told the staff, which they knew about as they had any powder on the cleaning trolley. The swimming pool pipes on the floor of the pool didn't have covers which myself and kids did tread on numerous times. The lifeguards just sit on there phones watching films or charging them in the back. The food was horrendous, there was nothing for kids at all and all the other families said the same. The kids entertainment was far too late starting at 8:50 pm. The hotel is more for adults. The snack bar on the family part of the hotel was closed, no one could tell us why as the hotel was fully booked and alot of families were on there and to get a slush puppy you need to travel to the other side of the resort. Cleaning of the rooms was useless, we did it ourselves in the end. The bar staff put far too much alcohol in drinks. We have put in a formal complaint to jet 2 as there was so much more to complain about.

Had a really nice 10 day stay at The Mirador. Arrived late afternoon, check in was easy no waiting and was offered a welcome drink. We were taken to our room number 439 which seemed a long way from reception but it really wasn't. There were steps a couple of doors on down one floor to the pool area so we were close to everything. The room was roomy and bright with a fantastic sea view. the bed comfortable and plenty of pillows. One thing I can disagree with was that there was no drawer space so all our clothing had to go on shelves in the wardrobe! No big problem but I like a bedside drawer. The bathroom was ok and the shower worked well but as it was over the bath water did splash onto the floor so had to be extra careful when getting out. Towels were nice and replace more or less everyday. The buffet food in the restaurant was Ok breakfast was typical cooked bacon eggs etc, fresh a tinned fruit yoghurts cold meats and cheeses, breads of all sorts and sweet pastry's, something for everyone I think. Lunch and evening meals were also buffet and again a variety of salads and cooked the desserts were not that good but it is a case of whatever you like personally. It has to be considered that a hotel of this size catering for so many different tastes can not always get it 100% right. The evening entertainment was sometimes good sometimes not so (again personal preference) and adults only started at 9.45pm for about an hour, so it was children up to 9.30 then presentation from the daily entertainment games winners. This hotel is ideal for families and there is a children's pool area away from the main pool. All area are clean and well maintained. Pool towels are available from the spa then retuned to reception when leaving. Just one think about sunbeds, and umberella's There are plenty but the hotel has a no saving sunbed policy but they dont abide by this rule. Please, If your not going to enforce the rule don't make the rule in the first place its pointless. There is a complimentary hotel bus that drops you at a car park in Playa Dorado where you go down the walk way and can turn right to go into Playa Blanca or turn left to go to The Rubicon Marina, but its not far to walk to the Marina from the hotel a good walk 20 Minutes, or an easy stroll 25/30 mins I could be tempted to visit this hotel again as we have had a very nice stay here, but not when schools are out.

Great hotel and staff. Very helpful and polite. Views from a sea view room stunning. Book a sea view room, its worth it. Food okay usual kinda holiday fare. Breakfasts very good. Chose to eat out a couple of times in the evening as abit repetitive. Half board stay, think complementary water with evening meals good but felt this should be extended to fruit juices too. Walk to lovely Playa Dorada / Marina about 20 mins along well lit promenade cliff path. If travelling with young adventerous children keep them close as sheer drop to sea/rocks below of about 100 feet in some places beyond path.Other than that overall location felt very safe day or night, with good local shops and supermarkets. Overall 8 out of 10 experience. Will return

We were on an all inclusive holiday with Jet2 and our room was in the annex across the road from the main hotel which is connected via an underground tunnel. Overall the hotel is clean and welcoming. Our room was a family room with a living area / kitchenette and a separate bedroom. It was large, with lots of storage, a free safe and terrace which looked out onto the gardens. The food was OK and on par with other all-inclusive holidays we have been on. There was not a huge amount of choice, but there was usually something nice we could choose to eat. Some nights were themed which made a nice change and for the children, there was always chips, pizza, pasta, etc so they could always find something they liked. We enjoyed the entertainment they laid on most nights and the kids club / mini disco team were one of the best teams we have we have had at a hotel, our granddaughters thoroughly enjoyed it . The hotels location is a little out of things, there's a 15 minute walk along the promenade to the marina and a further 15 minutes to main Playa Blanca bar / restaurant area and Playa Dorada beach. However, there is a supermarket 5 minutes up the road and a lot more shops and some bars 10 minutes away in the other direction along the promenade. The hotel do put on a shuttle bus to/from the beach 3 times a days which was a great help. There were a few negatives. On our final day, when we returned for the day we found our room had not been cleaned so we had to contact reception for fresh towels, however they did arrive within 10 minutes. Also, the annex pool does have a pool bar in situ but this was never open, so we had to traipse across to the other pool area for our all inclusive drinks etc. Not the easiest thing when carrying multiple drinks / snacks. They did say the hotel was about 2/3rds full so I would have expected this to have been open. However, overall we had a lovely week, it was good value for money and would definitely return to this hotel again.
