the hotel is a joke in everyway possible,my door to my room was not secure,my bed was broken,i went all inclusive to which i was told i was only allowed 5 drinks daily but yet 18 to 25 could drink all day and nothing was said but this 51 year old was told after my 5th i wasnt allowed anymore vodka,then i was charged 2 euros for bottle of water as well as a euro each for plastic cups for our drinks and if you lost them you had to pay to get more,so why pay the extra 700 pounds for all inclusive when your limited to 5 drinks but the canary islands dont have the rules on how much you can have in the complex

We spent 2 weeks at the Columbus Hotel and overall I would say we had a really good experience. The rooms were spacious and had a good sized balcony. The beds weren’t the most comfortable but could have been worse. Tv didn’t show many English channels but that was not an issue for us. Bathroom was clean and basic. Only issues I would say about the bathroom is that the lights are on a sensor and go off when you are in the shower often, they also switch on from people walking past outside. The shower tray is not the best as the water runs off it and almost floods the bathroom. The hotel had an entertainment board which showed what was on each night. We only used the entertainment room once on the holiday and it was a good experience. The pool also had some games and entertainment throughout the day which was nice. Plenty of sunbeds around the pool, I would say out of the 2 weeks we only struggled to get a sunbed once or twice as it was later in the day. I can’t comment on the food as we went self catering. The room was equipped with a kettle, toaster, microwave and 2 ring hob. Plenty of cutlery and kitchenware. Be sure to bring washing up liquid and sponges as the hotel do not provide this in self catering rooms. The cleaners were friendly and cleaned your room when you asked. However, on many occasions I left the do not disturb sign on the door and they still knocked and unlocked the door to ask if we wanted the room cleaning. On more than one day I was lying in bed and was greeted with a cleaner at the end of my bed asking if wanted cleaning. I think this is rude and unprofessional. Cleaners do start very early and are quite loud. They shout to eachother across the floors from around 7am which can be a bit annoying. Overall I would stay at the Columbus again and I enjoyed my stay. The location is perfect and the price is convenient.

5th time staying here at KN Columbus. A booking originally for 7 people but turned to 8 people 6 weeks before departure. Last year in october, I requested if we could have 2 bungalows at an upgrade cost of €20 per night per bungalow, which will be payable upon check-in. We were happy to pay this, but unfortunately, upon check-in, we were not successful. We booked with jet2 holidays, and the holiday was booked in January 2023. We got given rooms 141 and 143. The rooms were on the first floor. The rooms was on the pool side but unfortunately the view from our balcony was of the sun terrace and all we saw every day was people sun bathing as the terrace is inline with the room so it also kind of invaded our privacy as the people can look straight into the room. I enquired about a bungalow but got told none available until Sunday (we arrived on a Tuesday) by Sunday, we just wanted a street view room which we did get but one room was 142 ans the other room was at the other end at 102 but we didn't mind this. We have noticed that the rooms have been refurbished recently. New bathroom door and new front door. Our room had a new air-conditioning unit which was very good. The bathroom has an automatic light when you walk in, but this is not good when in the shower as the light goes off, which can be dangerous. Also, the light is very bright if you need to get up overnight to use the bathroom. The sofa bed, I really wish that they would get rid of these because they are not comfortable at all. Why can't they just have 2 single beds or a double bed their instead. We never have it as a sofa, and I don't think any rooms have it has a sofa either. Most sofa beds are broken or have wooden slates down, which are being held together with electrical ties. The room, in general, is large enough for 4 people and clean enough. Nearly every day, we had a cleaner. We didn't use the TV at all. As for noise, we'll get apart from the road noise we didn't hear a thing. We saw groups of lads and women and they were there to have a good time and they didn't bother with us at all and didn't have any problems. We even had a group of lads next door to us, and we didn't hear them. We did not witness any fighting either, as some previous reviews say there has been fighting. The teenagers (x4) who were with us enjoyed the pools and also got involved with the pool games. I was disappointed with the corner being closed. The corner is situated near the pools and it was a nice little bar/restaurant which had very good prices for afternoon  snacks etc but during our stay it was closed. The sports bar is closed , and the bar on the other side of the building was closed. The spa was open but did not use it as it's not my thing. The staff are lovely, very helpful and friendly. We needed mobility scooters during our stay. The Columbus has a Disabled Blue Badge rule. If you don't have one, then you are not allowed to bring the scooter inside the building to charge. 10/10 Stay! I stayed for 9 nights with my boyfriend in a self catering studio. The rooms are extremely spacious, beds are comfortable with a beautiful view we had looking down onto the *****. The bathrooms are also spacious with great power from the shower! Everyday daily, cleaners would come in your bedsheets would be freshly changed , you would be provided with clean towels daily, along with the floors ALWAYS being brushed and mopped. The hotel itself from time to time can be a bit busy at night time with people being a bit noisy, but we never had any issues with our sleep! The pools are massive, and they have an amazing jacuzzi. The bar on site have great cocktails, dreaming of them ever since, with extremely friendly staff! I have stayed recently in the sister hotel, kn aparthotel panoramic in Costa adeje , and I can safely say the Columbus is 10 times better than panoramic in every possible way! Booked my holiday next year already to stay here! 10/10 stay!

Avoid this hotel if you like sleeping ! Me and my girlfriend stayed 10 nights in this hotel and everynight we had about 3-4 hours sleep woke up with people screaming and banging on doors in the hallway. Understandably people get drunk and loud but the layout of the hallways which are similar to that of a prison echos everything!. We stayed on the 3rd floor and could hear everything from every floor 1st and up to the 6th. We did complain about the noise and we were offered a room on the 5th floor which we rejected because would it of changed anything ? I doubt it.When you do get to sleep you are woke up with maids at 7am gossiping and shouting to one another from each floor, again yes understandble that they must start early to clean the rooms for the day but even at that they arent the best at, multiple times they forgot to restock our toilet paper and towels. Food is disgusting no taste to it at all! No more to say on that. Pool area is the best part about this hotel yet there alot of places around the pool area that are closed and not in use i.e a bar area and what looked to be restraunt which is a shame. The area around the hotel is really good plenty bars and resteaunts and 15 minute walk from golden mile. Reception staff are quite rude apart from the blonde woman, the rest couldnt care less about you or any complaints,judging by other reviews they are probably fed up of hearing the same stuff yet i doubt anything will change. After checking out the woman behind reception didnt say anything to us just took our key cards and turned her back on us no thank you or nothing? Wont be back unless im going on a stag holiday and dont plan on sleeping ever.

I visited this hotel in October and needless to say I was very unhappy after having a good stay here 4 years in a row you can't see mates from other hotels and if u do they get asked to leave I will not be returning to this hotel I will be back in tenerife

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in rooms are the most basic boring thing I’ve ever seen,staff are absolutely useless especially the bald lookinh mega mind behind the reception, cleaners couldn’t clean there own shoes and thats being generous if you actually want sleep aswell you’ve got no chance people running up and down the hallways all night only good thing about this hotel is the pool area stay away from this hotel

Good location, staff friendly. Hotel is in need of a good deep clean. Air con was leaking our room was absolutely freezing and the floor was soaking. Was greeted with a cockroach as we walked into our room on 2nd night, since then our room was filled with cockroaches - I counted 8 1 night🙈🙈🙈. Hotel said nothing they can do as you get cockroaches in Tenerife but surely not 8 in 1 night. We were all inclusive and the rooms are a bit dated and wasn’t much variety for breakfast lunch or dinner. We used the lunch bar for food as we found that was better. I don’t believe I will stay here again. It may be for you if you like cockroaches as seems like everyone has that problem 😂🤦🏻‍♀️

Just returned from a 7 night stay and Seriously concerned about people who rate this 5 stars. The rooms are basic, cleaners came into the room didn’t even clean anywhere just changed the towels. First day we arrived we spotted the cleaners are cleaning the balcony floors and then move the mop onto the table and start cleaning that with it. Gross There’s a constant smell of **** everywhere around the hotel even when your sat on the balcony at night. Unsure if this is from people in the hotel or surrounding buildings. The noise level is crazy, after staying in party hotels in Mallorca and Benidorm ect throughout the years I can honestly say this is the worst/ loudest hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Full of inconsiderate people shouting and kicking doors through. Because of the lay out of the hotel being like a prison it echos through the whole hotel. We are a couple in our 20s and it was too loud for us and we’ve had hardly any sleep all week but I feel even worse for the families with kids and babies along with the elderly couples who were also complaining. Reception lady was very apologetic about it but it would be impossibe to catch all the selfish people and throw them out. In 7 nights we didn’t have one where we wasn’t work up over 3 times. On night out of 7 they had a Mexican night but every other it was the same. But the food quality was okay and it was fresh. Drinks out of the dispenser are flat in the restaurant and at the bar too. The cocktails that are on the all inclusive aren’t fresh cocktails it’s fizzy pop and vodka. The bar has huge queues and mostly one person serving at a time. The staff were friendly but they can only be as quick as they can for a line of 20 people at a time. The shisha/sports bar, kids club and ‘pub’ all at the hotel were all closed. So this is being missold on the website. Never opened once since we got here which was pretty disappointing. We wasn’t told any of this on arrival just had to figure this out for ourselves. On a positive the location is brilliant for golden mile, beach and restaurants. The bus stop is at the side of the hotel one way to Costa adeje and Los Cristianos is the side opposite, it cost €5.80 for 4 adults. Also a taxi rank next to the bus stop which always had a taxi available.
