Great place to relax and hang out do adventures If you want you can also join the adventure of hearts that explore and ex carrot and the resort is right on the beach so that you can have fun in the sun

Mahekal resort & spa was excellent choice for our 25th anniversary trip. It is very private feel onsite yet perfect distance to down town (a minute walking to restaurants and shops) All the staff were very helpful and respectful. Only thing I wish for the resort was more on site parking space. Since I didn't request a parking when I made a reservation, we had to park on street for 5 days and finding coins for machine was not easy. I wished I was notified when I made a reservation. Other than that, it was very pleasant and we'd love to go back again!

Most stunning property. This is not your huge all-inclusive resort…rooms are spacious and clean, grounds are impeccable, food great. It is so close to the city to walk around and explore tons of food options.
Loud on Saturday night with all the parties; in case someone’s sensitive. Check out is at 12pm and if you have the all-inclusive package that ends as soon as you check out- you can enjoy the property until your flight, but will have to pay for everything.
Cannot wait to be back

The property is unique in a certain way and gives you feel of a remote retreat. The territory jungle landscaping and small, indigenous houses are very nice. It’s feels so much better there than in multistory hotels. Some minor equipment requires updates due to the climate. The stuff is friendly, personal and addresses the questions in an expedited manner. The beach is clean and convenient enough.

Everything was perfect and above expectations: food, service, location, amenities, etc. highly recommended.
The only negative is having to sign for every meal with the being an expectation for a tip.

we love the uniqueness and the staff as well as the proximity to town. However, it is getting a bit run down. We were in the Oasis and there was no cleaning of those grounds and sidewalks during the six nights we were there. The hot tub by Fuego does work and it and the pool need a total revamp. Gold stars to the staff, inluding:
Alberto, Enrique, Oscar, Rugelio.

Cannot say enough good things about Mahekal! The staff was amazing, the amenities were top notch and you cannot beat the location. Will definitely be back sooner rather than later!

The resort itself was beautiful! Food exceptional. The staff was friendly, attentive and made you feel as if you were their only customer. I would definitely recommend this resort

This is a fabulous resort, with outstanding service. We stayed in the Oasis area, which is set back from the beach, and very private and quiet. It was amazing. The food was excellent too.
