Tower Lodge

Having visited the Hunter Valley numerous times, I can confidently say that Tower Lodge stands out as the best place we’ve stayed so far. Each individual suite is uniquely designed, and we were fortunate enough to stay in Suite 8, which was incredibly spacious, impeccably clean, and beautifully styled with a charming view of the vineyards and kangaroos! Here are the highlights of our stay: - Great Location & Architecture: The lodge’s design and setting are simply stunning. - Exceptional Staff: The staff were fantastic, always going the extra mile, both at the front desk and in the dining room. - Delicious Food: Our package included breakfast and lunch/dinner, and every meal was outstanding. - Excellent Wine Selection: A great variety of wines to choose from. - Impeccable Room Service: The room was always perfectly made up when we returned from breakfast, even though we rarely saw the room service team. - Resident Kangaroos: We loved seeing the resident kangaroos, such a delight! - Wonderful Pool & Sauna: Perfect for relaxation. Our only suggestion would be to add some cereal options at breakfast, my partner would have loved some muesli! Overall, we absolutely loved our stay. Having explored the wineries many times before, we didn’t leave the lodge except to see the HVG lights, which of course are spectacular. Thank you for taking such good care of us. Tower Lodge is truly a 5 star experience, from our arrival to our departure our stay was truly memorable. On arrival we were warmly welcomed and shown to our suite which was one of the most beautiful rooms I have had the pleasure in staying in , the high ceilings , the open fire and the sumptuous bathroom , truly luxurious. Breakfast and dinner is included in the room rate which is something we would generally avoid but would advise everyone not to avoid as the food is 5 star fine dining using local ingredients and cooked by a chef who you know just loves what he does . The level of service and friendliness of all the staff was outstanding and they could not do enough for us with bookings for wineries and personal gin and whiskey tastings which are a must . Finally I have to mention the owner Michael who introduced himself to us on our first night and was a fountain of knowledge to the history of the lodge and all the other parts of the business . His passion was infectious and made our stay more enjoyable. We will 100% return if we ever return to Australia.

A beautiful & serene environment enveloped us. The architecture is solid, desirable, luxe and spacious. We commenced with a delightful lunch in the restaurant followed by a restorative nap. Out for dinner elsewhere in the evening, we returned to a warm bath and a restful sleep. Breakfast served by the courtyard fountain was excellent. All staff were discreet, friendly and knowledgeable. Would definitely stay here again.

We booked this restaurant in November 2023 for our wedding anniversary believing that it was called Sebastian's. I emailed through our gift voucher number the week before our arrival but didn't get a response. Someone called me from the restaurant 2 days prior to arrival to confirm our booking. I noticed on their website, when calling them back to confirm, that it said that the restaurant was permanently closed. I asked the girl if this was the case and she said no, and that she would get someone to look into it. We were looking at the menu on the day of our booking and it still said that the restaurant was permanently closed. We went to the restaurant and pressed the button to get in and asked the girl if the restaurant was closed, and she said that it was no longer called Sebastian's, and she would check if our gift voucher was valid. She came back and said that all the senior management were at a conference, very convenient, and NO our gift voucher would not be honoured. This was very disappointing, especially seeing that it was our anniversary. Tower Lodge should have emailed me back stating that they would not honour our gift voucher when I sent them the email. Absolutely disgusting!!!! We did not eat at your restaurant but you still send me a survey to fill in on my email account. You certainly have massive communication problems which need to be addressed.

Absolutely loved this place, very private. Fireplace in your room was magical. Very romantic. Only negative was the bathroom was cold, no heating in there. Food absolutely delicious. Staff fantastic. Open fireplace always lit in public area.

Going in winter had the advantage of having the open fire blazing away in our room - which somehow they kept stocked and alight ( even though we never saw anyone 🔥 ) . Food and wine was way above standard & all of the staff just lovely . We even had a go at the archery and bike riding . My husband and I can totally recommend this for anyone looking for something that extra bit special . We only had 3 days but were very tempted to stay longer .
