Poole Centre (Holes Bay)

The hottest hotel room I’ve ever stayed in. There is no air conditioning in the hotel which is NOT specified in the booking details or the website. It’s just not mentioned. It was the worst night sleep. I had to keep sitting in a cold bath. There was a fan that was useless. Like sleeping in a sauna. AVOID.

Its location and lack of air con mean it gets very hot when the ambient departures are above 21c especially the south and west facing rooms. Overall the exterior by the entrance looks shabby and interior areas need a refurb. Car parking can be a problem due to car parking spaces being taken by visitors to the bar/restaurant.

Room was too hot no sleep temp control not working bar staff just one so not served definitely not a good stay staff said not much they can do

Our ferry from Jersey arrived late, which meant the restaurant was closed when we arrived at Holes Bay. The Staff at Premier Inn (Natalia) and Daniel, the Manager of the adjoining pub, could not have been more helpful. Bacon sandwiches were rustled up and, after a few glasses of wine, two very tired and hungry 86 year olds had been restored to the human race! More importantly, our holiday ended on a high note. Breakfast was also excellent and it's a very attractive site---our thanks to all concerned!

Nice view from second floor overlooking Holes Bay. Traffic noise from main A road throughout the night (window wouldn't shut tight). Hotel a bit dated, no phone sockets, air con, needs a lick of paint on outside

We will make this our last time in a Premier inn. Didn’t get any sleep here, the whole night was awful, room was 23c with no way of cooling it other than opening the window but by doing so we had lorries up and down the road all night outside which sounded like they were coming in to the room it was like trying to sleep next to the M1

Having already booked a 2 night stay, I was a little nervous having then read some of the recent reviews. The hotel is definitely in need of a revamp but our room was clean and the room temperature was fine. The staff were very helpful and we managed to park outside reception (as another reviewer suggested) so we could see our car from our room. We only ate at the restaurant (also very tired) for breakfast, (which was fine) and on the first morning (Sunday) we had a 15 min wait to be seated primarily due to the number of external visitors, the following day was fine. The hotel is next to a busy main road and our room was probably the closest to it but we slept fine admittedly with the windows shut but were aware that many guests leave quite early presumably to get the ferry.! The hotel is near enough to walk into Poole and I would recommend a visit to the RNLI college which has a restaurant (great carvery on a Sunday) and bar overlooking the bay. Hopefully Premier Inn take note of the reviews and update this hotel as it is ideal for a short break.

I have stayed here a few times, the location is great for the ferry and there is plenty of parking. The bar and restaurant is good. Town is an easy walk away for more bars and restaurants if you want.

Overnight stay at Premier Inn which I expect to be clean and fresh. Sorry to say that this inn has definitely seen better days. Stayed at Gatwick on many occasions with no complaints. There was a disabled lady ahead of me in the queue to check in. She had asked for an ‘easy to access room and instead had been put on the top floor ( 2nd floor accessed through lift to the first and then stairs to the 2nd! Staff not very helpful or sympathetic. I offered my room but was given short shrift!! I also struggle with stairs but felt not as disabled. On the way back decided to have the meal deal. Great if you don’t mind cold scampi and lack lustre chips with NO tartar sauce!! Breakfast lots available but even though I went in just after 6.30an it was… yes COLD. This was not a cheap option for an overnight stay so RNLI here I come.
