Leonardo Boutique Hotel Mallorca Port Portals

Myfriend and I booked 2 rooms for 11 nights in this hotel from 18-29 December 2023. Three weeks before we were due to go was received a badly translated email telling us they were closing the Hotel due to plumbing problems and therefore cancelling our booking. What sort of plumbing problems causes the Hotel to close completely surely it should be possible to rectify the problem. Was it more a case they hadn't got enough bookings to make opening worthwhile. I find this totally unacceptable and very unprofessional treatment so close to our holiday. We had chosen this Hotel because we had stayed there before, over the same period but when it was under different management and it was a perfect location to where we wanted to be.

Just wanted to warn possible visitors that I’ve just had my Christmas time visit cancelled due to ‘plumbing issues’ this was booked in July as I was visiting friends nearby ,so all travel car etc booked. I’m being a little cynical about this I feel it could be because they don’t have enough bookings to make it profitable for them. I’ve had to book another hotel at more money as it’s now so near to Christmas, and it’s not as near to Portals.I won’t be booking anything with them again.

On the 31st of October Majorcan hoteliers seem to think the season should be over and shut up shop for the winter. Well done for keeping the hotel open but there are some obvious restrictions on what’s being offered. First the positives the staff at this hotel are exceptional and I mean exceptional . The breakfast is fine I’ve had better I’ve had worse . The Wi-Fi is okay. However that’s about where it stops . The rooms are fine but the two either side of the lifts were noisy. The rooftop swimming pool and bar was closed long before we arrived. . The downstairs swimming pool is also closed and there is no indoor pool. There is no gym . There is no spa.. There is no room service in fact there is nothing to serve apart from breakfast as the restaurant is closed. We were told the bar was closing whilst we were there on our golf trip but thankfully someone talked the management out of it. The traffic on the busy road over the hedge from the pool edge is still very noisy as it is on the roundabout nearby and the road leading up from there. The buses are a regular feature nice to have if you want one but not all the time. Would I return to the hotel at the same time of the year … no way. Might be nice to try it in the summer but to be honest portals nous doesn’t do much for me I could never really understand why people are interested in a load of floating fibreglass down on the marina and the beach did not look up to much.

We had a fabulous 4 night stay here! Having stayed at Leonardos before, we had expectations which were definitely met! Luxurious sunbeds, great service, great rooms and very clean. Only had one lunch here during a pool day which was fabulous (chicken Caesar salad). Perfect location too so would highly recommend this hotel.

This is the first visit to this hotel. It’s location is excellent to Puerto Portals (6min walk) and 20min drive to Palma. The staff are excellent and the rooms are modern and are well set up. The swimming pool is great too, the restaurant and bar are also good!

A great relaxing hotel experience good quality furnishings around the pool area with new poolside bar caravan.

So I came here on my own for a few days, the location is fab enough around to feel comfortable to eat out etc, the hotel itself is super clean and the beds are the most comfortable I’ve been in for so long.. so some bad reviews about noise etc but I heard nothing at all .. but can I say the staff are amazing in particular Brian from the hotel pool bar, always happy always smiling and nothings a problem.. also gave me some great recommendations so thank you for making my stay so good .. only thing I would say is .. the pool there need a ladder I’m sure there was one at some point not it can’t be awkward getting out

I have just arrived home from a lovely weekend at the Leonardo Boutique hotel. The hotel is very modern and designed to a very high spec. Our room was on the small side and we didn’t have a balcony but if I returned I would book a room with a balcony. We did have a small issue with a mirror in our room which was fixed asap. The rooms don’t come with an iron or ironing board but when we asked at reception house keeping delivered one to our door right away. The staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. The food/snacks were well presented and very tasty. Although the pool was small it wasn’t overcrowded. The music was pleasant & the ambiance was relaxed. We couldn’t keep our room on, on the last day but we was offered baggage hold and courtesy room to shower in, which was clean and very convenient. Overall an amazing weekend. We would definitely return.

Amazingly clean hotel, very comfy bed. The staff were all lovely and helpful. The breakfast was good, omelettes made to order. The sunbeds round the pool also comfy and plenty of them. WiFi worked in all areas of the hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel and I hope to come back 👍 only small problem is noise from nearby road but hotel is great
