Greeted by lovely landlady , rooms clean and comfortable , slept well ,. Breakfast is help yourself , selection of yoghurts, cereal, toast , crumpets - with selection of jams and butter , selection of teas and coffee - all fresh and tasty Convenient location , close to where I needed to be . Plenty of restaurants , cafes and takeaways nearby All good , I’m sure I will return

I've stayed at many hotels and B&B's in the UK and abroad, but this was bad ! Other reviews say how great it is, where were they staying ???? First greeted with a tired outside and a frontage full of weeds and a cigarette pot ! Parking is a nightmare. Room was very bland and sad, bed linen was clean, but definitely needs a new mattress, could feel springs. Curtains were dirty, carpet dirty and stained. Bathroom not great, shower filthy, sink stained, towels seen better days ! Tv totally in the wrong place. Breakfast, listed as Continental, which consisted of a few pots of yoghurt,toast and cereal, to me, not a Continental! Toaster had seen better days, no serviettes. BAD !! The one good thing, staff were pleasant.

Stayed at the Mary house for one night as we were attending a party in the area. On arrival we were met by a lady who gave us information on the timings for breakfast etc.. Our room was ample for what we needed on a one night stay. Bed was comfy, shower very small but very hot water. The room itself looked clean but we did notice that there was a lot of dust around the carpet near door frames and furniture.. just needs a good hoover to rectify this.. The green emergency light in the room was a bit of nuisance as it was so bright and lit up the room so the room wasn’t very dark and we found it hard to sleep. I did notice that when returning to our room in the night there were a lot of midgy flies in the room.. can’t figure out why as the Windows were closed, couldnt see any rotten food?? We had paid for breakfast in our room rate but having seen what was on offer we didn’t bother.. Tbh we expected a bit more for the money we had paid breakfast wise.. we were lucky that we found off street parking but I would think that during busy months parking would be a nightmare. Overall the B&B was in a good location for the centre of town

Lovely clean room Reasonably priced Met on arrival and informed of everything we needed to know Free continental breakfast Very near to bars, restaurants. Near the fair, arcades and beach. We stayed here for a friend's wedding, we requested an early check in due to the time of the wedding, this was made available to us which made things so much easier. We would definitely stay here again if we were staying overnight in Porthcawl.

Very comfortable room,bedding very clean,room was right size for myself. Emma was welcoming. I had a nice comfortable two nights. Location was spot on! Will be staying ere again.Not far from the sea front,shops and beautiful walks. I would definitely recommend Mary house.

Received Friendly welcome from Emma who explained breakfast times and advised us about parking and times of the door being locked and what key to use to get in.nice sized room clean and tidy the shower was nice and hot and toilet was nice and clean.tea and coffee facilities in the rooms.close to immunities.would I stay here again Absolutely.
