Residence Marina di Santa Giulia

We stayed 3 nights in our mini villa 431 in early June, to relax over our wedding anniversary in the middle of a 2 week tour of Corsica. We loved the stunning view over Santa Giulia Bay when dining on our terrace. Fixtures were modern and there was a good selection of equipment and plenty of plates etc for self catering, without having to wash up after each meal. Great to have a dishwasher and be provided with starter kit of 3 dishwasher tablets, a dish scourer, tea towel and mini washing up liquid. There was a tall fridge and 2 electric rings for cooking, plus microwave (no actual oven). There's a clothes airer on the terrace for drying towels, swim gear etc. Beware it's a very steep climb (15mins if going up) between this section of villas where 431 was located (just above shared pool) and reception (half way down) and then the beach and restaurants a little further down at the bottom of the road. We drove to reception then walked to beach from there one eve to dine out (Santa Giulia Plage restaurant, attached to the neighbouring Michellin starred restaurant, was very good with more reasonable prices than it's neighbour!). Villas are spread over a wide area of hillside in different zones and we didn't know where we would be until we checked in - we booked via *********** so suggest you contact the resort direct if you have specific requirements. No hairdryer or bathroom soap or shower gel provided, so ensure you bring these. The resort has responded to my *********** review on this point to advise that hairdryers are available from reception, but this was not advised to us on check-in which would have been helpful. I DID ask on check-in whether WiFi was available in our villa and was advised yes, and was given the code for that area and told it was also the WiFi for the swimming pool area. However the reality was that the WiFi only had one chip from the very front of the terrace occasionally - the code I think really only works when in the swimming pool area itself. I saw a review from last year which mentioned the option of paying 3 euros a day for a pocket WiFi, but this was not offered to us, so not sure if this is still an option? Worth asking if it is important to you, but we ended up paying roaming charges on our mobiles. The villa was rather bland/sterile in style but the great view compensated somewhat. The bedroom at the rear was particularly dark (given cliff outside window and the furnishings very plain. A bright modern print on the bedroom wall (eg a blue sea scene) and lounge would do wonders, but small things really. Didn't try pool (which seemed popular with families from what we could hear below us) as we only stayed 3 nights and loved exploring stunning local beaches like Palombaggia and Rondinara (Santa Giulia was busier and had more sea**** but lovely for dining out, as above). We have visited Corsica several times and we always stay at Residence Marina di Santa Giulia. They have everything we want and need for relaxing and enjoying our vacation. The accommodations are exactly what we want and the service level of their staff is excellent. They always do everything they can to ale our stay as comfortable as possible, and go above and beyond to make us feel welcome every time we come. We would like to keep this paradise secret and to ourselves if we could, but realise that it would be unfair of us. The one bedroom appartment is comfortable for 4 people. Located at 950m up hill from the beach, under the sun the walk was very hard to do with the kids. No internet connection available on the appartment! No hairdryer available neither. Only 3 capsules were provided during the 4 night stay (no greca available). Lot of mosquitos everywhere you go in Corsica. Last night water went off from 19:00 pm until next morning at 8:00 am on the whole Porto Vecchio area.

Nous avons séjourné une semaine dans la résidence. Notre maison avait une terrasse équipée d’un barbecue cheminée, de transats et d’un salon extérieur. La maison était spacieuse avec 2 chambres et 2 salles de bain. La résidence est bien sécurisée. Le personnel était sympathique même si encore en rodage avant le début de la saison Seul petit bémol : la vétusté des meubles de la cuisine et de l’ameublement en général. La maison était proche de la piscine chauffée et très bien entretenue (propre). La descente vers la baie de Santa Giulia se fait facilement, le retour est plus compliqué avec un beau dénivelé ! En hors saison, la voiture s’impose. Nous y reviendrons pour le calme hors saison et la vie magnifique.

Wir hatten bewusst eine Wohnung im "oberen" Bereich gewählt mit kurzem Weg zum tollen, im April angenehm warm geheizten Pool und haben das Schwimmen am Abend sehr genossen! Die Wohnung war gut ausgestattet, etwas chaotisch die Zusammenstellung der Elektrogeräte, jedes eine andere Marke, aber hat alles funktioniert (E- Herd, Backofen, Mikrowelle Wasserkocher, Nespresso Kaffeemaschine, Spülmaschine, Waschmaschine, Großer Kühlschrank mit großem Tiefkühlfach, Dunstabzugshaube) Klimaanlage hat prima als Heizung funktioniert, tolle Ausstattung. Die Damen an der Rezeption waren alle sehr nett und jederzeit ansprechbar und hilfsbereit. Macht euch vorher schlau, wo ihr wohnen wollt! oberer (Pool) und unterer Bereich (Strand) sind ca 15 Minuten steilen Fußweg voneinander entfernt! Die Wohnung war super geschnitten und schön im Ensemble platziert! Die Bucht ist wunderschön, glasklares Wasser, Azur und türkis, einfach toll mit karibischem Flair! Wir haben unsere Tage sehr genossen mit der Basis für Ausflüge in die Berge oder nach Bonifacio. Wenn wir es uns im Sommer leisten könne, dann kommen wir gerne wieder. Für uns war alles wunderbar so, schöner Garten ums Haus mit Blumen und Pflanzen, sehr gepflegt und ruhig, einfach eine tolle Atmosphäre!

Cela fait la 2ème fois que nous réservons dans cet endroit magnifique, donc nous savons à quoi s'attendre. Proximité de la plage, place de parking, mer bleu turquoise, maisonnette très agréable et très bien équipée, et tout fonctionne parfaitement. Equipe d'accueil sympathique, qui nous appelle dès que la maison est prête. nous gardons un excellent souvenir des 2 séjours ( Sept 2021 et Sept 2022)

Une chambre simple mais propre et moderne. La superficie est un peu trop petite (il n’y a rien pour poser une valise). La petite terrasse privative est appréciable. La fenêtre de la sdb/Wc donnant sur la terrasse des voisins est mal placée. Le personnel d’accueil qui nous accompagne jusqu’à la chambre est agréable.
