Garda Hotel San Vigilio Golf

1 I travelled here especially to play golf as I was told how good it was&was greeted very arrogantly at the reception.I have played many TOP golf course around the world&never experienced this. Asked if I could play,the whole time the receptionist was looking at here computer screen,no eye contact. When I finally got a tee time I asked where I could park my motorhome,she pointed over there,no instructions where,no instructions where the 1st tee was,NOTHING.👎 I found her to be extremely arrogant in her presentation to guests. Normally at a so called top golf resort your welcomed when you arrive not like this.First time there&the last time. The good thing is that being a golf professional I take my customers away on golf trips&this is why I wanted to visit Chevro Golf Resort,know I know I won’t be taking any of my customers there. Also the presentation of the golf course was terrible,yes they had rain the days before but when the tees are so long it’s like hitting out of rough it’s no fun.The fairways were all extremely wet,bunkers under water,nothing said before the round from the receptionist,this also is very bad from a top resort👎Still had to pay the normal greenfee👎👎 Overall won’t be back.

We last went here in 2021 and very pretty disappointed. The staff were miserable to the point of not caring, breakfast was total chaos and lunch and dinner service was quite poor. However, we returned here for a week and were absolutely delighted to find they have really upped their game. Our apar**ent was cleaned nicely every day, breakfast was much more orderly with a lady checking everyone in very efficiently. Lunch service was much better and we went to the clubhouse 5 times where the team up there were both friendly and efficient - the food was also excellent every time. I can’t fault it - please keep it up. We will see you again.

We got a bad service and experience overall for a lot of money. Although the hotel looks great from outside, the facilities are not maintained and the restaurant is really bad. The gym is falling apart and is very dirty - see photos-, the breakfast is just basic and very disorganized, spa is closing early and there is nobody helping out guests. The grounds are big and we got lost several times because there is no signaling nowhere. Considering how much we paid and for a 5 star golf hotel this is unnaceptable. We will never come back again.

Caution!!!! A hotel with the worst level of service. Lied from the beginning of the stay to the end. Dirty room bad service. When we arrived, we added our bed that was not registered, they charged us 40 Euros per night because we stayed with the existing bed set. The next day they didn't clean the room when we asked why they told us we rented an apar**ent and not a hotel room and they weren't willing to give us clean towels and asked us to come back in the morning. In the morning, when we asked for cleaning services, they still told us, after negotiation, 20 euros. We booked twice during our stay, when we went to close the account they told us 20 euros per person and charged us 160 euros for cleaning. Bad service lying and rude staff.

We stayed at one of the serviced apar**ents as a family of six in June 2023. We opted for the apar**ent as we had a baby with us, and have not had much previous experience with the serviced apar**ent concept. The overall stay was average, would return only if they improved their cleaning. The facilities at the resort - the golf course, the two pool areas and spa center were wonderful. The gym was the only let down, there are 5 machines (one of which is for stretching) and no weights at all. The bedding at the apar**ent was good and sleep comfortable. Rooms were quiet. We had separate air conditioning units in all 4 rooms. The view from the apar**ent was facing the golf course, so it was beautiful! Overall, the apar**ent was well equipped (washing machine, dishwasher, drying rack, plates and glasses in the kitchen). The internet connection was on and off, but we managed to get everything done. The hotel premises are very beautiful and well kept, wonderful blooming plants on every corner! So plenty of positives. However, the cleanliness of the apar**ent was substandard. Since we had a nine month old with us, it became evident shortly, that the floors were unwashed - ended up washing them ourselves. The apar**ent does not include cleaning, but you are not provided with a vacuum cleaner, there is but one dirty broom on the balcony, that would do more harm than good. The apar**ent was quite the zoo, there were ants in the bathrooms (not one, but tens), spiders indoor and on the porch, spider nets. The flies were also numerous, but we could have kept the windows closed all time, since they flew in and can’t blame the hotel for that. The staff are nice, but do not speak sufficient English. I asked where to throw our trash from the front desk, received a very short answer that we needed to take it off the resort premises (car-drive) to a location by the gate, however were not given the information that trash facilities required a pin code to enter - luckily there was the gatekeeper who gave us the password (who was the nicest person!). The blowdryer does not work. Kitchen was awkwardly equipped - no chopping board, one very large breadknife as the only knife. The food on the premises is average, aperol spritz is only 6 euros. We preferred to drive off the resort for food, but there are many restaurants, tavernas in the area that served great food. Perhaps the hotel rooms are better? Either way, would they improve on their cleaning standard, we would consider staying again.

Nice golfcource in good shape. All facilities at the cource in terrible shape washrooms etc. Midway bar closed at 3 pm. Hotel old fashioned( question of taste ofcource) and like a labyrint. Breakfast poor quality.

Worst Golfhotel and way to expensive !!!! The service in the hotel sucks, as they are in general unfriendly and they don’t care about the guests. The service personell in the Clubhouse and Hotel should learn about service for the customer. The breakfast is not worth a penny, we had better breakfast in B&B Hotels all over the place - to name that buffet is a big joke. But we would accept a bad breakfast but combines with that bad service staff - not acceptable at all!! The Golf restaurant has good food but unacceptable service personell. The whole hotel and resort just benefits Golf-Course, the only thing to mention police about this place. We hat a family celebration here - next time we spent our money at a better place.

Very nice Spa & golf Hotel. We did not use the golf, but the Swimming Pool Area at both pools are very nice. We have been in this Hotel some times now, and the hotel is generally good. This time the service at the small Hotel Pool was bad, and after in the first time not to get a table at Lunch, we waited 50 min for the food. The Service at the Big Bio Pool was super, and her they had a very good service. The Food in the golf Restaurant belonging to the hotel is not good, and the Service here not what you expect in a hotel of this standard, and are not to be recomennded...this standard did not raise since last time......so we decide to visit the very nice Agri Turismo´s nearby, and there are plenty om these, and can be fully recommended.

Amazing place, amazing food , great staff. The Spa service could use some improvement. Overall i most definitely recommend this resort
