Hotel Shato Gesson

Convenient location, but a little hard to find as it's in the middle of a neighborhood. Comfortable and cute.

Everything you need. Don't find for something different in Praha, Shato is the best solution, either if you have a car like me or if you need public transports, the big city is served all night long, Xmas and NYE included. Staff was outstanding, and Tatiana more, she took care of me in every way possible. They offered me late check-out on NYD and breakfast was served from 10am after a long night on Silvester. They are Russians so it was really a big experience having a taste of their food. Have to say I will stay overnight for two more days, and then two more, it says all. Parking is free and easily found closest to the hotel. Old Town is 10 km far but you will reach every place inside and outside Praha thanks to a strategic position. I have to do nothing more to highly recommend Shato.

I spend one night here and booked this hotel based on reviews. However I was expecting better experience. Spider nets in corners could be cleaned at least time by time, water had a very light yellow coloring when filling the tub and no one on reception during check out to share my feedback. Breakfast was OK, I would prefer scrambled eggs instead of hard-boiled eggs.

The hotel offers everything you need for a comfortable stay. The room is big enough, the bed is comfortable, the bathroom has a walk-in shower. The room is equipped with a tea kettle and the proprietor offered me a coffee machine as well, which was very kind. A huge advantage is the location - in a small side street but close to main traffic. The street and the whole area is very quiet, there is no car park but you do not need one, you will always find a parking space along the street and it's free. There is a reasonable selection of food for breakfast as well (buffet) to kick off a good day. Overall, very strong 3 stars. I will choose it once again when I'm in the area, which is the best recommendation, I guess.

We have stayed twice in the Hotel Shato Gesson - first in October 2021 and again over the Christmas period 2021. The hotel is located in a quiet residential road with a park nearby. Hotel Shato Gesson is cosy, very clean with friendly and helpful staff. English is spoken and when emailing the hotel with enquiries, the response was quick and efficient. Our deluxe double room for both stays, was on the third floor and was spacious and airy with a balcony. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom had a walk-in shower. A buffet style continental breakfast was provided but as a surprise at Christmas, we were given cooked breakfast on two mornings, which was a lovely gesture. We used the hotel airport transfer service, for a nominal extra charge and this was convenient and efficient. We enjoyed both of our stays very much and would like to thank the proprietors for their personal attention and look forward to returning to the hotel on further visits. We have no hesitation in recommending Hotel Shato Gesson for a very pleasant stay.

Ok for a quick satay. Rooms are clean and new stuff friendly

This was our third visit to the hotel but we only stayed for one night as en-route to elsewhere in Czech Republic. We found the staff very friendly and helpful, as usual. We needed an early breakfast before the normal service but the staff were very accommodating. Once again we used the reliable (chargeable) pick-up service from airport. We always enjoy our stay at this hotel.

Property was nice and we walked to a close by park and shops. Looks like it was remodeled recently. Although the beds were made and surfaces cleaned, the floors weren’t vacuumed. No air conditioning but window opens. However, right out our window was a tent with someone staying in it so we heard them talking late into the night. If the window was shut it was too hot and no circulation. Overall I would stay again.

We stayed in the hotel with my wife and little daughter for a week in August 2022. The hotel exceeded my expectations from Three stars and the price paid. A very stylish interior with beautiful paintings in the room and the lobby, a lot of nice cozy details, during our stay at the reception an amazing map and decor appeared. Absolute cleanness! Very comfortable mattresses and pillows, this is one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in hotels. Since the hotel is located in a quiet green area (at the same time 5 minutes to the metro and 15 to the center) - in the morning we woke up to the singing of birds, I already forgot how nice it is! It was important to us that we could use the washing machine with drying. Our daughter was absolutely happy in the children's corner, and we could enjoy breakfast in peace - with hot dishes, delicious muesli, many types of sausages and cheeses, fruits, cool juice, lots of pastries, nice music and lots of flowers. In the evenings we spent time in the courtyard of the hotel, where there is a cozy gazebo with chairs and a table. It was also possible to arrange a grill party, but we did not know about it in advance. The girls at the reception are very attentive, advised and helped in everything. In general, we had such a comfortable feeling that we will definitely return again! This is no ordinary hotel, definitely recommend to visit! We read in the reviews that the breakfast was not sufficient -but we think that these guest are overly demanding. We travel a lot around the world and we have a lot to compare.
