Villa Rafia

Villa rafia what an excellent guest house owned and run by Darna and her lovely family, stayed here on the 15th November 2023 for one week. Breakfast was mixed fruit, toast and jam, and eggs cooked to your liking fruit juice and coffee and was all very nice. The rooms were very nice and equipped with fridge and air conditioning, and a lovely balcony to sit and chill after a day exploring the island. 100% trust in this guest house as we left our phones money and camera in room most days and nothing was touched. Would also like to point out that we had an afternoon flight back and Darna very kindly agreed to let us keep our room on at no extra cost to shower and get ready for our return journey Would highly recommend the villa rafia for all reasons above and very well situated only 5 min from beach

+ Small guesthouse in a tropical garden 5 minutes walk from Anse Volbert Beach, some restaurants and supermarkets. + Free parking place for guests only. + Accomodation with breakfast. + Shared lounge and breakfast area. + You can have 5-course dinner (400 SCR/p.p.), but you must order and pay in advance in the morning. We did not try it. + Nice staff and the owner. + You can pay cash or credit card. + Wifi is available for free in the shared lounge, but it’s not very stable (it’s problem in a whole island). + Villa and the room is clean daily. - No pool. - Breakfast is very simple and the same every day – a fruit plate, juice, toast, butter, tea or coffee and you can choose from boiled eggs, scrambled eggs or an omelette. - No drinking water (in a bottle) in the room or in the guesthouse. You have to buy water in the supermarket. - No shampoo or shower gel in the bathroom. - Not all rooms have private veranda or terrace, for example room number 3 (standard room). You don’t have the option to sit outside, except the shared lounge. - You have outdoor grill in the garden. But no plates or cutlery in the room, if you decide to use the grill spontaneously. Probably, you have to reserve equipment in advance (we did not try it). - You can’t buy any drinks, neither coke nor water at Villa Rafia. - Room 3 (standard room) was very basic and outdated. The bathroom definitely needs renovation. There is fan, aircondition and small refrigerator in the bathroom.  Many non-functional little things: in a double room for two people only one glass for water, no glasses for wine or beer in a whole guesthouse, the main building with information leaflets and a number of the owner if needed, it’s locked from the afternoon, no trash can outside. Unfortunately, we give 3 stars for a very basic and outdated room, the bathroom was clean, but definitely needs renovation. The price did not include drinking water, shampoo or shower gel, which is standard even in apartment and bed and brekfast. There is also no possibility to buy at least non alcoholic drinks. For the price of 95 Eur/night for standard room, that we paid, Villa Rafia should really provide a better standard.

Un accueil au top par Justin et Angélique et qui restent aux petits soins pour leurs clients tout au long du séjour; Pas de savon dans la salle de bain et pas une bouteille d'eau dans le réfrigérateur. Avec ces quelques axes d'amélioration je conseillerai sans conteste ce lieu

....meno male, non mi è piaciuto nulla. Posizione infelice, nessuna segnalazione che indicasse la guesthouse, pericolosissimo uscire a piedi con il buio, ore 18,30 è già notte. Camera carina, bagno terribile con doccia sporca e con rubinetto dell'acqua fredda bloccato, abbiamo fatto la doccia bollente. Il personale comunque estremamente gentile

Отличная локация, стандартный завтрак, отличная хост Дерна, но есть одно но! В апартаментах нет сейфа и украли деньги во время уборки. На ресепшене пожали плечами и сказали, что быть такого не может. Но факт остаётся фактом, остался неприятный осадок. Great location, standard breakfast, great host Derna, but there is one problem! The apartment does not have a safe and money has been stolen during cleaning. At the reception they said that this could not happen. But the fact remains, there was an unpleasant aftertaste.

Nous y avons séjourné 2 semaines( très inhabituel pour des vacanciers, se sont en général des courts séjours dans les hôtels de Praslin.) les logements sont spacieux et très calme. Magnifique jardin luxuriant et coloré. Petit déjeuner copieux préparé par Derna, qui nous a chouchoutée pendant 15 jours.

Hemos estado 6 noches en Villa Rafia, solo podemos decir que ha sido cómo estar en casa. La gentileza de Derna🥰la amabilidad de Justin👍🏿 es de diez 10/10. La habitación limpia, bonita y en muy buenas condiciones al igual que el baño. El desayuno, para nosotros ha sido correcto( un platito de frutas, un zumo, café o té, pan y huevos). Todas las habitaciones tienen fuera unas sillas donde algunas noches nos hemos tomado un tentempié. La playa Cote d’or y Volbert a 5’ . Si tenéis que contratar alguna excursión hacerlo mejor con Justin, nosotros hemos contratado una al lado del Diving Center nos dijeron que era hasta las 4pm y a las 3pm ya estábamos de vuelta ( así que, mejor hacerlas con las personas que recomiendan los alojamientos donde estéis). Solo decir que os echaremos de menos Justin y sobre todo Derna. Un italiano y una española más que contentos.

Wir hatten ein sehr charmantes Appartement mit eigenem Balkon. Sehr geräumig und zweckmässig eingerichtet, da gab es nichts zu bemängeln. Einzig ein Duschvorhang fehlt. Sauberkeit absolut gewährleistet, Reinigung alle zwei Tage reicht vollkommen aus. Die Lage ist ideal (5min Fussweg zum Beach, gleich gegenüber die Bushaltestelle). Besonders hervorzuheben sind die Gastgeber: sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit bei Fragen aller Art.

Les + : - Appartement spacieux, très propre avec frigo, rice cookeur et tout le nécessaire pour cuisiner et manger sur place. - Climatisation fonctionnelle et silencieuse - Lit et coussins très confortables. - Très bon petit dej avec thé / café, assiette de fruits frais, pain grillé / beurre / confiture, œufs (brouillés, au plat, omelette…), service très agréable. - localisation à 3 minutes de la côte d’or, donc proximité des restaurants / magasins / supérettes. - Près d’une route passante mais très calme la nuit. - La gentillesse de Derna. Les - : Je tiens à signaler que ce ne sont que des détails et que nous avons réussi très facilement à trouver une solution à chaque inconvénient - pas de lit bébé =＞ on a mis deux fauteuils face à face. - Pas d’eau chaude le soir (cela ne nous aurait pas dérangé mais avec un bébé c’est plus compliqué) =＞ entre midi et deux, l’eau était chaude ou sinon on a fait chauffer de l’eau dans la cuisine pour avoir un bain à 37 degré dans notre baignoire gonflable. - réservez Anse Georgette par vos propres moyens.
