L'Hirondelle Self Catering Guest House

I had a really comfortable stay here, veranda is spacious where the sea view is fantastic (rm 7), apar**ent is a good size and really clean. There’s a security guard at night. Theres a lot of attention to detail like providing oil, salt and tea/coffee, which many self catering places don't but makes a big difference! Also things like providing wet towels on arrival (to cool yourself in the heat) and an umbrella in the room. There’s parking on the property, they arranged car hire for me. The location is perfect! 5 mins from the jetty, well placed to explore the island, there’s a bus stop just outside and it’s opposite one of the best beaches on the island (in that season). Also its a minute from the village but far enough from hubbub of the village. They provide beach towels and there’s plenty of tree cover. Disliked · The proprietor wasn't my fav person I met in Seychelles, professional and friendly but I found her manner a bit stern. Maggi is awesome, she helped me out with an issue. Their taxi driver Robert charged me just under £20 for the 5 min journey from the jetty, I managed to get a return taxi for cheaper. You can get the bus to and from the jetty but not sure if you can take luggage on it

This place don’t look much from pictures and when outside but it’s a true hidden gem. The rooms/ apar**ents are very functional, smart and pretty. You have your own little kitchen, seating area, bedroom and bath organised in a clever way. WiFi is good and service from staff impeccable. They beach near by Anse Volbert are nice for swimming but take caution of the stingrays. They are frequently visiting this beach so watch out and wear beach shoes. Breakfast served were excellent and laundry service worked fast and well. You’ll find some really nice restaurants in walking distance, convenient if you don’t have your own car. There also a bus stop right in front if you want to go to Anse Lazio. I can highly recommend this place if heading for Praslin.

Awesome location, 10m from entrance to beach. Beautiful garden and terasse/balcony to relax in. Well functioning air conditioning. Some mosquitos due to close creek. Furniture a little worn down, not very clean.

We had a lovely 4 night stay here in April 2023. The staff were all lovely, including the receptionist, the lady who cooked us breakfast and the evening security guard. Our sea view apar**ent had a beautiful balcony with good quality furniture. Inside, we loved the bedroom area set on a different level to the rest of the apar**ent - the four poster bed was lovely. The kitchen is really well equipped and it was great to get some water and welcome drinks on arrival. The only thing that could do with improvement is the shower - we struggled to switch between the handheld and the overhead main shower - but as we were only staying for 4 days we didn’t feel the need to rectify this while we were there. The rest of the bathroom is a lovely design, with double sinks. We didn’t have breakfast included every day, but paid for it at €15pp one day. A lovely lady came in and presented us with fruit, pastries and cooked us eggs. It was nice and relaxed to have breakfast cooked right in our room! The location in Côte D’Or was great with a small supermarket nearby and fabulous beach views. It’s around a 10 minute walk to a slightly livelier area with good restaurants/bars such as Cafe Des Arts, St Pierre and Les Lauriers. There’s also a good takeaway a few minutes walk away called Ma’s Takeaway where we could grab some food and bring it back to eat on the balcony. They also provide branded beach towels which were unexpected and a great perk. Umbrellas are provided too in case of a downpour! Another good extra facility were the outdoor mini showers so you could shower off your feet of sand before going back to the apar**ent. There is also a free safe. Housekeeping was excellent and they would make an array of towel animals to decorate the bedroom with each day! We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend staying here 100%! A really nice small and friendly guesthouse in Praslin.

Lovely large apar**ent with great facilities. The balconies from the sea view rooms are amazing with very nice furniture. The kitchen is well equipped, although we mainly just walked 10 mins (out of the gate and left) to several lovely restaurants. The four poster bed is perfect and so pretty. Loved it! Would 100% recommend.

Clean and nice depar**ent with beautiful view. Helpfull and friendly staff. Unfortunately a lot of noise from the road. Beach full of sandflies.

Amazing guest house with wonderful staff and fantastic location on the beach with possibilities for snorkling and diving next doors. Easy access A** and to buy food and souvenirs/swimwear further down the road. The rooms are light and with a view to the ocean. I recommend everyone to come here!

Spacious apar**ents, furnished with local wood and maritime theme with wonderful views over the beach! Friendly family own guesthouse run by multi lingual owners and personnel. Walking distance to shopping, kitchenettes in the rooms!

All you need to do is cross the road to be in the sand or swim. Very nice views from top balconies and a nice garden view if your at ground floor. Friendly owner, very helpful. Clean and well designed apar**ents. Only drawback are the sand flies at anse volbert that leave nasty bites.
