The night I arrived at the Zarita Boutique Hotel I was presented with a subpar room and not the Executive room which I had reserved. It had been a very long travel day. The manager tried to insist that this was the room in which i reserved. Since it was after 11:30pm the manager (Jeff) promised sort things out and to just stay in the room for the night. This was the class Bait and Switch tactic. The following morning the manager was no longer insisting that I had the correct room. Needless to say I was disappointed. Now I’m told that the Executive room was occupied by someone else however the person was out of the country and I could stay in the room. This was totally unprofessional. When I asked for a cancellation I was informed by the manager that it was to late to cancel nor get a refund. I was told I would be charged for duration of my 12 night stay. I moved my luggage and personal items into the Executive Room however I was not allowed use of the closets, drawers etc because the room in which I had reserved and paid for in full via ******* was occupied!!!.. this was only the beginning of overwhelming challenges at the Zarita Boutique Hotel. No screens in the windows, no air conditioning, initially the toilet did NOT flush. To take a shower only Cold water was on unless you ran Outside the bathroom hit a switch which activated the hot water heater however by the you got back in the shower the was EXTREMELY HOT which required you to go back to turn the switch off.
