We stayed in mid April for 2 weeks, half board basis. The room we booked was described as an inland view but when we got to the room the view was actually the next door hotel's pool bar. It was quite noisy & no privacy on the balcony. I talked to reception straight away & whilst they could not change the room immediately, they promised if I returned before the 2nd week that this could be looked at. The reception staff were very friendly & helpful. The room itself was great, comfortable beds, spacious & modern. We duly closed the balcony doors (according to the instructions) to make sure the air con would work. Each time we came back to our room it didn't feel cool...so just assumed the air con was not great. We ended up opening the doors, even at night as the room was so hot. Even with the net pulled across we both got bitten badly by mosquitoes...it was only after by chance overhearing another guest complain to the Tui rep that we found out the air con was not actually turned on in the rooms as April isn't usually that hot. It was around 25-27 deg....so yes it was hot. I think some clear communication that the air con was not on in the rooms would have been better. We happened to see the hotel manager the next day & talked directly to him about it. He listened & took on board the feedback....the next day the air con was on! From then on we often saw him around the hotel & he always said hello & checked was everything ok. The Tui rep Pedro was always around in the hotel & by the pool....very easy to talk to & approachable. Anything you spoke to him about he always came back with an answer & was really good. The food at dinner was a bit hit & miss. The first week there were issues with the food not being that hot, not great quality (especially meat & fish) however the food did improve in the 2nd week. I think that this could be typical buffet food, to be honest we learnt to pick & choose what was good & what was not. We never went hungry & never went out to eat. The chefs were always around to ask questions or recommend. Each night there was always a chef doing live cooking & carvery. Breakfast was very good in my opinion, there was a chef making fresh omelettes, lots of fresh fruits, the usual full english options, cheese, meats, different breads & lots more. Think there was something for everyone. The fresh pastries were excellent. As I said the food for dinner did get better after some feedback from other guests as well. The desserts were always very good....so many to choose from & always fresh. The staff in the restaurant deserve a mention as they were great...Andreas, Alexandria (& her husband sorry can't remember his name), & Panikkos. They literally made the holiday a really personal experience, they do a fantastic job & were very friendly. The 2nd week Pedro the Tui rep talked to the reception staff & we decided to upgrade to a seaview room. It was amazing! I spent lots of time on the lounger reading & looking to s
