Relais le Betulle

I made the mistake of booking this hotel based on the very deceiving pictures, rather than staying in one of the lovely and way cheaper hotels we previously stayed in the area. I thought given this is one of the most expensive hotels in the area we were in for a treat to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We arrived after a fairly long drive feeling excited to celebrate our wedding anniversary with a lovely glass of prosecco and dinner at the hotel. Instead, we arrived at a very miserably looking hotel, noting reminding of a lovely Italian relais, instead this must be the most saddest looking hotel in Italy. To our utter surprise, the restaurant was closed and the hotel did not even seem to have a bar or proper lobby where we could enjoy a glass of prosecco. Reception area is equally miserably looking, not like a place you want to spend much time. Rooms are clean but again looking very dated, nothing resembling of the beautifully shot pictures on **********. I feel scammed, especially for €177 per night. Luckily, we only booked this place for 1 night. Needless to say breakfast was another disappoin**ent, coffee comes from a machine and the food didn't look appetising, nothing like the beautifully presented tables and made to order breakfast and coffee (included in the room price) offered in other 4 star hotels. My advice is book something else to avoid disappoin**ent, there are plenty of other proper Italian hotels in the area for a fraction of the price!

To our utter surprise, the restaurant was closed and the hotel did not even seem to have a bar or proper lobby where we could enjoy a glass of prosecco while admiring the prosecco hills around the hotel. Reception area is equally miserably looking, not like a place you want to spend much time. Rooms are clean but again looking miserable and dated, nothing resembling of the beautifully shot pictures on **********. I feel scammed, especially for €177 for a night. Luckily, we only booked this place for 1 night. I felt really sorry for those having stay for longer. Needless to say breakfast was another disappoin**ent, coffee comes from a machine and the food did not look appetising at all, nothing like the beautifully presented tables and made to order breakfast and coffee (included in the room price) offered in other 4 star hotels we stayed in Italy for a fraction of the price. We hardly met any other guests, only a few people at breakfast, which explains why the owner overcharges guests for the room while too greedy to invest money in this very sadly looking place. Joke of the year was when the receptionist asked if we had taken anything from a non-existent mini bar, which was not even in the room!?! My advice is book something else to avoid disappoin**ent, there are plenty of other proper Italian hotels/relais in the area (near Treviso and Oderzo) for the fraction of the price!

Great place to stay outside the town while visiting wineries of Conegliano. Friendly staff, good breakfast, views to the valley from the rooms. The restaurant is really good for dinner. They also have a spa which I did not visit. Parking. Some nice wineries very close.

Stayed in June 2023. Average hotel with large rooms. Beautiful area 10 minutes from Conegliano. Lovely restaurant that opens 7 pm. Unable to get food during day(only vending machines near pool area). Desk staff could be more friendly and helpful. If in area again would opt to stay in Conegliano near train station, restaurants, etc. as nothing to do at hotel.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Relais Le Betulle when we visited Conegliano in late April. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel room we stayed in was clean, large, and had a nice outdoor view.

What can I say! Unfortunately I have to share my honest experience as the hotel management have refused to deal with the situation properly and instead have threatened to sue should we write our review (I checked with *********** and I can write this review). Not great customer service for a distressing situation! I always believe in giving a place a chance to fix things before judging and telling everyone. But the chance was sadly not taken by them! My friend and I (both young women in our late 20's) were getting changed and I was turned away from my friend facing the window/balcony, naked with only a thong on (the hotel is very rural with no chance of people seeing me). My friend then spotted via looking at the reflection on the TV screen the pool/maintenance guy leaning over the balcony next to us and staring at me naked. This was only about 3 metres in distance from me! As you can imagine this was shocking, distressing and made us both feel unsafe.  What was even more surprising was how the hotel has handled or better yet NOT HANDLED this voyeurism. Voyeurism is a crime! After two emails to them that felt were ignored they responded promptly once I contacted ***********. Their reasoning was laughable and their investigation was not thorough. So if you want to book a hotel where you, your travel companions and family feel safe, I would not recommend here! The hotel clearly doesn't care that this man works around the pool and that he has total access to the bedrooms incase he needs to "change a lightbulb". Luckily my friend just so happened to witness the pool man staring at me naked, but what about the people that haven't noticed? What can I say! Great room, with view of the swimming pool and the town, spacious parking, lovely clean pool with good bar and very friendly staff. We were very disappointed how we were treated, we booked two double rooms for us and for a couple of friends that trusted my recommendation, unfortunately the evening before our arrival (that means 27 hours before) one of our friends got covid, we called the hotel immediately to cancel their booking, the receptionist said that they would do their best to avoid the payment of this room. At the check out after our two night stay (the reservation of our friends was only one night) we got a bad suprise that we had to pay also for our friend's room. We know that the rule is to cancel the booking 48 hours before but considering the circumstances we thought, out of kindness the hotel would at least consider a payment of 50%. Plus the wi-fi was non-existent in the total of our 48 hour stay, on Monday evening at 21,50 we wanted to have a drink at the hotel bar, but it was closed! From a four star hotel we expected much more! We will not return for sure!

The staff at Relais Le Butelle was so helpful and accommodating to our group of over 70 people. There are perfect places at the hotel for many people to gather and talk, including a large balcony with a beautiful view of Conegliano. The rooms were very comfortable. I especially enjoyed the balcony overlooking the pool. I looked forward to the included breakfast every morning, with an extensive selection of pastries, yogurt and toppings, fruit, eggs, and a fancy self-serve coffee machine that makes about 20 kinds of espresso drinks! The hotel is up the hill from the town, which adds to its beauty. Buses are available during the day for €3. If you do not have a car and do not want to walk closely to the cars on the road, a €10 one-way cab ride is the only option to get into town at night. A couple tips: The electricity in the room is off unless you keep your room card in the little bay by the door. The air conditioning lower limit is set by the front-desk computer and the staff is happy to lower it, if requested.

I’ve stayed here multiple times over the years and always found it to be a good place for the money in the Prosecco hills. If you book a deluxe room be sure to ask for one with a balcony because there are two deluxe Roman with just windows. The restaurant, the pool, the rooms are all wonderful and modern with lovely amenities.
