Did 2N/3D at Lalaguna Beach Club on 15-17 Apr. Resort has good, user-friendly layout with large staging area, enough hanging space and hangers, crates, etc. and proactive knowledgeable DMs and dive assistants who are quick to assist guests before and after dives. Swimming pool is big enough and it's great to be able to splash in after a dive and lounge on the deck chairs in between dives. However, rooms are old and badly in need of renovation, with roaches and lots of mosquitoes inside. The 2nd floor bar area had huge leaks when it rained on Sat night... While F&B staff are friendly enough, food is TERRIBLE. Dishes can take up to an hour to prepare and even then are of poor quality, even with standard things like adobo and grilled liempo. After Day 1 I just gave up on ordering meat altogether as they're always tough or dry. I really question the training of their 'chef'. For my first meal I ordered garlic rice and was given plain rice and even after I pointed it out the server insisted it was garlic (it really wasn't). Worse is on Monday morning when we went out for breakfast the kitchen and dining were CLOSED with no one even manning the area to at least make sure coffee was available. And this was already at 630AM. It may be because they were expecting it to be a slower day but still... they still had guests, right??? Don't think will be staying here again. Will book their dive facilities but most likely will check out another resort for accomms and food next time.
