This place is so nice, the setting is very idyllic, right on the beach, it’s very clean and Jorge is absolutely the best, he’s been so helpful. The service was excellent, the room clean and nice. I highly recommend this place!

I love love love love love this place - it is so quaint - clean and nicely located to many restaurants - and across the beach, towards the quieter side of the beach. Highly recommend it!!! The room is spacious and nicely decorated.

Lovely and convenient location with well maintained garden. Bedding and shower were clean. Common areas were rarely used by any of the guests as far as I could tell. Cabin had plenty of blankets and fans and towels. One star taken off because property needs some attention to upkeep: sagging/misaligned doors, large cracks in walls, dingy/faded curtains. The hot water faded in and out which meant showers took twice as long. The books and games were faded and damp. A few service missteps (forgotten laundry instructions, bland food, hair in the butter) take off another star. Seemed like nobody was in charge; although everyone was pleasant and accommodating, there didn’t seem to be a service standard. There were two well-behaved & quiet dogs on the premises, which was pleasant. I was NOT pleased about the two cats in the kitchen. Since this was my first time on the coast, I don’t know what the Puerto Lopez lodging baseline is; overall this was “fine” but not amazing. I’d probably stay here again given the location. Hopefully the owners invest some time and money into maintaining the infrastructure and guiding the staff.

We stayed in a bungalow and it was simply gorgeous. Surrounded by flora and winding paths to get to the bungalow, it felt completely private, yet just a 100' or so to get to the parking lot or lobby. The staff spoke English and were extremely helpful. There was a safe on the 2nd floor of the main house so it was a little inconvenient. No AC, but the fans were fine to keep us cool. The power went out briefly while we were there due to an earthquake, but the generator came on automatically.

The vision : the original design was beautiful - wooden rooms within walking distance of the beach. An ethical approach to development. Gardens full of plants and birds. The reality: Aging rooms, without the staff to clean them properly. Bugs everywhere. Toilets that cannot take toilet paper. Feral dogs that bark all night. Rooms that have no windows to keep the sounds out. A reception that closes at 8pm with no service beyond. The worst breakfast we had anywhere. People stay here for the vision. But it’s tough to ignore the reality.

Nicely located close to the beach and in a lush garden where we could spot colibris a few times. The hotel is a little run-down though, apparently the climate is not good for all the wooden structures. Some more cleaning would help. Staff was a little slow.

This property was absolutely beautiful. Private cabins and villas surrounded by a wonderful variety of plants and flowers . Just walking to your room was delightful. The location is also great being just a minute to the beach while still not being to close to the louder areas of puerto Lopez . The breakfast was delicious and the staff very friendly. Would definitely recommend this place, especially for couples and family’s .

The hotel is lovely, with great breakfast options, excellent shower, nice decor. The idea of cabins in the garden is nice, quirky names and decorations in every one of them. Enjoyed watching the vultures go to sleep in the tree opposite my cabin at night and other inhabitants of garden move around in the dusk. The beach is just over the street, and the ocean waves are perfectly audible as you sleep. There is lovely hammock to hang around in, and you can take it to hotel's little peace of beach and hag there as well. Offering a towel to use on beach was nice detail. The owners are really lovely people. All in all, a very nice place if you are ok to spend a little (not that much either). However. The cabins are not quite as isolated as would be optimal, could hear verbatim all my next doors neighbors family dramas, and since people feel like they are in their own space, they may not fully bother to pull the curtains on the lovely big windows - so also caught an eyeful or two of unasked for nudity. When owners are around, things work tik tok, but when not - got served a cold breakfast one morning, and another morning arrived there at the indicated breakfast time hungry and sat there absolutely ignored for some 20 minutes before someone even bothered to ask me for my breakfast choice.

Diese Unterkunft ist ein Muss, für alle die nach Puerto Lopez kommen. Bungalows mit hervorragenden Standard mitten in einem tropischen Garten. Tolles Frühstück ganz nah am Meer. Schöner Sandstrand. Es gibt Sonnenschirme und Handtücher für den Strand. Kaum Touristen, alles sehr sicher und Erholung pur. In der Nähe ist der wunderschöne Machalilla Nationalpark.
