Sotupa Eco House

Sotupa Eco Lodge has been a highlight of our South American adventure. While the lodge is beautiful it's the staff that make it a truly unforgettable experience. Each and every staff member was wonderful! We enjoyed all the activities, particularly kayaking down the river. Our guide, Cero, was awesome, he was both attentive and knowledgeable. Meals at the lodge are healthy and tasty, we especially enjoyed the fresh juices served with each meal and the delicious passionfruit mousse, 😋 thank you to Chef Alan who made each meal special and even sang for us on our last night! Thank you to the manager George for going out of his way to help make our stay memorable. We left feeling rested and with many wonderful memories, we hope to one day come back 😊

Great place to have an adventure, rest and just enjoy nature. Location is excellent, very close to the airport so you get to the lodge in less than 30 minutes. The manager and each staff member are just great and will make you feel like a home away from home. They are willing to help you and will tell you many stories. It is a fairly small lodge but you have everything you may need including all three meals cooked specially for you and they will ask for your food restrictions and allergies to accomodate everyone. They offer several activities like bird watching very early in the morning, river navigation, night walk through the forest, morning walk to explore the vegetation, kayak or paddle down the Tambopatsa river, etc. They also have a small pool to relax and refresh. Sunrise and Sunset are spectacular and worth waking up early and staying by the river in the afternoon. If you stay long enough, there are other activities outside of Sotupa Eco Lodge. At walking distance you can visit the Amazon Shelter, where they rescue animal to retunr them to nature. You would love to take an excursion to Lake Sandovel (full day trip) and maybe even go to the city of Puerto Maldonado to visit the market and have some local food (don't miss the river fish and the cecina). Cabins are comfortable according to the location (don´t forget you are in the middle of the Amazon Rainforest and within the Tambopata National Reserve). I went there with family and we had a great time doing all kinds of activities and just enjoying the views and the sounds of the amazon. I haven't had such relaxing sleep for quite a while... We all wanted to stay longer.

Superbe expérience à Sotupa Éco Lodge ! Le logement était top, le personnel au petit soin, les repas (matin/midi/soir) excellents et les activités incluses sont toutes aussi géniales les unes que les autres! Nous sommes restés 3 jours / 2 nuits, nous avons ajouté à notre séjour l’activité Lago Sandoval. On a adoré parcourir ce lac si sauvage au sein de la réserve Tambopata, je recommande. Pour résumer : court mais super séjour. Je vous recommande Sotupa ! Vous y trouverez votre bonheur !

La habitacion tiene una excelente vista al rio, las personas del lodge muy amables y atentos: Cheff Kevin, Guia Darwin, Embarcación Jaime y Administrador VIctor. Todos andan muy al pendiente que te sientas comodo. Tienen actividades que puedes disfrutar como caminatas, avistamiento de aves. kayak, busqueda de caimanes por la noche, disfrutar del rio.

Excelente lugar para descansar y para la aventura. Las habitaciones amplias e impecables. El personal derrocha amabilidad, Victor su administrador siempre atento y dispuesto a que nuestra estadía sea perfecta. Darwin el guía, muy entusiasta y con ganas de que aprendamos de la zona. La verdad muy recomendable.

Un lugar excelente para descansar. La atención es muy buena y las actividades que se realizan como parte del paquete turístico son muy buenas. La comida es muy agradable,usan además elementos de la zona. El paisaje es insuperable. Los dormitorios cómodos, libres de insectos (pues está forrado de malla metálica). Para la estancia dentro del lodge se pueden usar sandalias, para caminar en trocha o salir del lodge ,llevar botas. Hace calor que es variable, hay internet en la zona común del lodge más no en los dormitorios (lo que permite mayor descanso). Los tragos tienen costa aparte. El paquete incluye cuarto, comida y actividades. Es muy recomendable.

El trato del personal excelente, el guia y el chef excepcionales, así como la comida. La localización quizá un poco cercana a la ciudad hace que los recorridos por la selva no sean tan salvajes como cabría esperar. La fauna y flora verdaderamente salvaje deben estar mas arriba del rio. Las instalaciones perfectas.

Excelente experiencia! Las cabañas son cómodas y espaciosas, con una terraza privada con vista al río, baño privado con ducha española y agua caliente. La comida es deliciosa, y la atención es muy amable. Las actividades te acercan mucho a la naturaleza, se pueden avistar muchos animales!
