Issues with resort made my first trip to Punta Cana NOT a good one, starting at upon arrival. First, we did NOT receive the room we purchased in the pictures on *******, strike 1. Then room was not ready and took several hours to get to our room and we arrived after 3pm. Then “concierge” wanted us to come to a welcome breakfast the following morning, we agreed.. it was a trick and upon arriving we were told to say that we were informed that this is a presentation and we don’t have anything else planned for the day and in return we would get a 30 minute massage. By this time, we were very frustrated but patiently agreed bc we were already at the location and waiting. We ended up being at the presentation for over 3 hours, by the time we were done, it was almost 2pm.
Then there were issues with staff just walking on our room, this happened 3 times; once when I was in the bath and another time my husband was on the toilet, then when we were sleeping… very frustrating!
Then the issues with our room-not cleaned well, hairs on the wall next to the jacuzzi, water was leaking from the bottom of the sink and onto the floor. Corners were dirty and not cleaned. Lastly, to say this is a newer resort, the updating and touch-ups are very sloppy and dirty looking. Our room had excess paint all over the floors and baseboards, the clear bathroom door has white paint smeared and dripped all over it, very sloppy and dirty looking.
Beautiful property but the rooms are not kept up, m
