It was a great stay and got a free upgrade but the receptionist was rude at the end of the stay during check out

Our 1st visit to Sri Lanka and we were very much looking forward to our stay at Club Hotel Dolphin, upon arrival we were greeted warmly and shown to our room. We were staying in one of the superior rooms on the 3rd floor, there is no lift only for staff to use so if you have any mobility issues make sure you request a ground floor room. We had a few issues with the cleanliness of the room, however after a quick chat with reception this was quickly rectified. The pool area and grounds of the hotel are kept immaculately clean and EVERY single member of staff we encountered was super polite and friendly. Animation team work hard by the main pool every day to get you involved in the many activities but are super understandable if you just let them know you want to chill on your sun lounger. We were lucky enough to be there for NYE, and oh my word what a night it was.....absolutely incredible. The amount of effort that went into making sure the night was a success was phenomenal and honestly, it was one of the best NYE's we have had in long time. A huge thank you and well done to all involved. Food - now this is the reason I can't give 5 stars, whilst the dishes we tried were delicious it was always luke warm at best.....I know this has been mentioned to the management team and I really hope they listen to the feedback. I appreciate it is a buffet setting and there will always be a period of time the food is stood but even when we went for breakfast/lunch/dinner as soon as the restaurant opened the food was never hot. Such a shame as you can see how much effort goes into creating the dishes. Overall we had a wonderful week in Sri Lanka

Great hotel located just by the beautiful beach with restaurants serving amazing local food. Hotel with amazing animation team. Really helpful and funny guys, especially Kalindu and Imal, who helped me to spend the time really productively.

On arrival we were not given the room we had paid for. The receptionist lied stating she had told us this was trmporary when we mentioned. offered us a first level room yet paid for poolside. TUI rep had to become involved. The hotel provides limited wine... 2 glasses for lunch and dinner and only served in restaurant. You are unable to get wine by pool or any other bars, not suitable for wine drinkers, as your options are sugary cocktails . As all inclusive disappointing and didnt help with enjoyment of holiday. The pool was lovely, warm and large, giving you plenty of space to swim. The staff were helpful, though reception staff werent great with sourcing our correct room. Our room hadnt been sprayed and mosquitoes were an issue. Room cleaned everyday which was lovely and towel Elephant, Octupus and swan were made throughout our stay, with flowers left on our bed. Plenty of choice for food options in restaurant but bit samey the second week. Hoopers worth a try. Sunsets around hotel were beautiful and better to watch at the queit poolside. The pool bars close early around 6/7 oclock. Limited entertainment and hard to find out information on what is hapoening and where around the hotel. Communication is poor at this location.

Lovely hotel great friendly staff we had a fantastic 11 nights here, if I had 1 complaint the food in the buffet restaurant was always quite cold the flavours were wonderful lots of variety but not kept at temperature and we were always at dinner around 7pm as the restaurant was just opening and also running out of diet soda for the last 5 days that we were there. But we had a fabulous time and would recommend to others it never seemed over busy and you could always get a lounger by the pool no matter what time you got there. Booked all my tours through Asda tours and they were brilliant great value for money and always on time and happy to do what you want. Sri Lanka is beautiful and all the people we met were lovely.

club dolphin hotel is a very beautiful holiday hotel, there are no words to say about it, and we should especially mention about the fitness animator pahasara, he is a very talented fitness trainer, he made our vacation very beautiful, and we participated in his water aerobics every day. ,fitness animator pahasara you are an excellent handsome young man, thank you very much fitness animator pahasara.

Super hotel, excellent food, pleasant a**osphere, super staff, especially Kalinda. Thank you We will definitely return to this hotel again Otherwise, the hotel is located in a pleasant, quiet place, there is an excellent bar, nicely equipped rooms, a fitness center, ping pong, and so on... From the hotel, you can take trips to, for example, Colombo, as well as around the area and get to know the local life. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who hasn't been, it's a short distance from the airport and I think you'll definitely be satisfied.

Great hotel! Everything was nice. Great location, great service, friendly staff. DINUKA, IMAL and KALINDU was the best people at this place ! They are amazing at work. All activities was perfect. :) Good value for the money. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner was delicious. Very comfortable. Would definitely recommend. Thank you for all!"
