Parrotel Aquapark Resort

We were very worried about coming to this hotel as we had heard such bad reviews. However we thought let’s just go and make our own minds up. First the hotel is a budget hotel and it caters for different nationalities including German, Russian and Egyptians. It’s worth keeping this in mind. The hotel is slightly dated and does need a freshen up. Some areas like the bedrooms are tired however, reception and the restaurant were well presented and clean. The rooms are tired and you can see patch up jobs in some areas. However, the rooms are clean and are an okay base. We saw no signs of bed bugs in our rooms as suggested by another review. The bedding was clean on arrival and our room was attended every day and beds made. Bedding was not changed in 7 days but towels were changed most days. There was a hairdryer in the bathroom, it wasn’t the best so luckily we took our own. There was a safe, a small fridge and toilet paper and water bottles were replenished every day. The food was my biggest struggle as it caters for different nationalities. Breakfast was good -omelette/egg station, toast, cereal, fruit, yogurt and sometimes things you are not expecting like mad potatoes or grilled aubergines. You have to remember that this is a hotel which serves different nationalities so you are not going to get a full English. Breakfast was okay for us and we always found something. Lunch and dinner could be a struggle as the food is not foods I would usually eat. So I stuck to salads, pasta, chicken etc. I’m not very adventurous however some of our party were and enjoyed the food. Chicken nuggets and burgers were served once during the week we stayed. So if you have children who enjoy this type of food it won’t be available every day. There is a snack bar by aqua park which serves nice pizza and chips so this might be a good option at lunch. We ate out a few times at the Union Jack bar 5 mins away also at Nam and Soho Square. The pool area is clean and Jimmy the pool guy will look after you during your stay. Also pool staff Yusoff is very attentive and will keep your drinks topped up. The drinks are ok. The beer was drinkable and I thought the house vodka, rum and white rum was good. The hotel has branded mixers but Coke Zero or Diet Coke is short supply. The ice is safe as it comes in plastic bags. The hotel staff are absolutely brilliant. Nothing is too much trouble and they will really look after you. This really shone above some premium hotels we have stayed in before. Smiler and Yousoff are just the best and they work so hard to make sure you have the best time. There was no entertainment during our stay which we struggled with but we did manage some nights out as taxis were so cheap. We didn’t use the aqua park but we heard good things about it. It can be chaotic in the restaurant with certain nationalities who do try to push in. Just be firm and polite and they will step back. Mozzies are everywhere shower the hotel does spray the groun

We stayed at the hotel for 5 days attending a friends wedding. The hotel was clean and staff could not do enough for you. The weather was glorious and a treat to get some winter sunshine. Smiler and Yousef were wonderful and absolutely made our stay so enjoyable. They couldn’t do enough for us!

Great family resort with Aqua park and access to beachfront ️ via partner hotel across the road .we got a great family room with pool view very big and spacious. Food and service is good overall can’t complain kids enjoy it they had kids club and entertainment in the evening. Kids pool and aqua park too plus plenty of water rides for the adults too.

It was a wonderful experience in parrotel Aqua park. Thanks to Mr Anwar the GM of the hotel who facilitates every thing for us . Moreover all the staff were very kind and helpful for my family the receptionists , Housekeeping, pools staff and restaurants staff especially chief Ashrey and Mr Abdo . Everything was perfect . Thank you Parrotel Aqua park we enjoyed our vacation so much

Unfortunately I can’t give this hotel any more stars. Our 3rd day of our holiday and We we’re having a terrible experience starting with our room was miles away from the restaurant and anything in the hotel was a lot of walking for my autistic 4 year old with hyper mobile hips . The swimming pools were absolutely freezing!! The staff are great with the children and very friendly though so can’t complain about them!! Although you do get hassled alot from the shop that sells jewellery and photographers don’t expect this from the hotel should only happen when you walk outside your complex!! Food was terrible no variety we had one good meal that was cooked from the bbq Our room well I can’t even say anything good about it my husband myself and two young children were bitten alive by bed bugs!! Our bath was filthy and the plug or tap didn’t even work to run the bath. It’s dark and dingy and dirty definitely needs updating definitely not a 4* hotel we ended up moving hotels today because of the situation Definitely do not recommend I’m afraid

AVOID!!!The worst hotel ever,run down,food horrible (onion pie-onion with pastry🤔)no sunbeds,bad entertainment, we arrived around 21:30, wait till midnight to have a few snacks,beach bar running out of food quickly,rooms outdated
