Veranda Palmar Beach Hotel & Spa - All Inclusive

Had the most exceptional holiday at Veranda Palmar Beach Hotel celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary. Spoilt rotten. Staff are incredible. Huge range of food available - catering for all tastes. Fantastic sunrises and seaviews and excursions available. Plenty of activities available at the hotel and nothing is too big or too small to help with. Will definitely be back soon and for longer next time.

We had a wonderful stay at Veranda Palmar Beach in late May. Having previously visited the hotel for lunch while staying at another hotel in the group we had a good idea of what to expect and we weren’t disappointed. This was our ninth visit to the island but the first time on the east coast. Unfortunately, an anticyclone was present for the first few days of our stay which meant the beach wasn’t the best spot to be, but because of the clever layout of the hotel, the pool and bar area are very sheltered as was the balcony of our room, so we could still enjoy the facilities. As with the other two Veranda hotels that we stayed at we found the staff really great. Being a smaller hotel it’s very easy to get to know the staff during your stay and they go out of their way to make your holiday a success. It seems wrong to only name a few but these people stood out for us. Priya, from guest relations, welcomed us on arrival and was always around checking that we were being looked after. Boodhun, the most welcoming porter you’ll ever meet. Sarvesh, in reception, is Mr Fixit! We chatted to him about hiring a car and within an hour a car was delivered for us. We heard from other guests that anything they needed done was handled by him without any issues. This is a young guy who is going to do really well in the hospitality industry!!! For afternoon tea Nellie was the best – always smiling while making delicious pancakes. Our room was great with the most comfortable bed and pillows I’ve ever come across. Just wish I could have brought them home with me! The food was very good. Being a small hotel, the choices weren’t huge, but the quality was good. There was always a variety of salads, chicken, fish and meat dishes plus delicious desserts. The chefs are happy to cook meals especially for you if there’s nothing on the menu that you fancy. But I never felt that this was necessary. A highlight of the day is afternoon tea with different sweet and savory snacks. Lots of activities are on offer at the boathouse, or organized by Clive, who heads up the entertainment team. We were very lazy so didn’t do much except take lovely, long walks on the beach. We also walked into Belle Mare village which took about 20 minutes. There are a couple of souvenir shops and general stores in case you need anything. Evening entertainment is low key with live dance, or music shows a few times during the week. If you are looking for value for money, then this hotel is top of our list. We’d love to return one day.

Lovely hotel, neat and serene. Staff is friendly and helpful. Entertainment is good and thx to Clive I never got bored. White clean beaches and water was amazing. There is a lot of activities to do in the hotel and in the surrounding areas. Will definitely go again soon.

We have just returned to South Africa from a week away in Mauritius at Veranda Palmar Beach Hotel. Was and ABSOLUTELY amazing trip, with excellent facilities, food and staff at the resort. Best meal ever experienced at the Horizon Bar. Many hotel activities daily and from beach hut too. Can't wait to go again.

It was my birthday and we arrived in the evening of my birthday and the staff were bright and bubbly even gave me a small birthday party. The entire time and stay was amazing , we were constantly asked if we were comfortable or needed anything absolutely friendly and very hospitable. The team even went out of their way to book me a round of golf seeing this is not a golf resort , and before I knew it I was booked and played on one of the best courses. To the entire staff at Veranda Palmer Beach hotel and spa , you guys rock and you are super stars

We all had an amazing week at the resort. Their staff especially Clive, Tanvi, Nikash and Neelesh went above and beyond to make sure our stay was a fun and memorable one. Fun activities and entertainment. Will definitely be back in the future.

This hotel exceeded all of our expectations!!! We chose this hotel as it was smaller than the others we had seen, we prefer the boutique feel than oversized, and this place did not disappoint! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, throughout our entire stay, nothing was too much of a bother and if you needed anything they would be there to help instantly. The room was cleaned daily as was the beach. The beach was on the doorstep, and had a bar there (open from 11am) which provided all the drinks you need throughout the day. When I had read previous reviews, they said the “all inclusive” food option was decent but repetitive and didn’t include everything, this was not our experience at all, in fact the food had plenty variety to offer, from different options of meats, fish and veggie options, you were never without something. All the drinks were included, but there were some (like an iced coffee) which weren’t and would cost extra, but generally no biggy, it’s completely affordable. As part of the all inclusive, you also have free availability to use the pedal boat, kayaks and other water sport options, anything that requires speedboat assistance however, you will need to pay extra for, but it’s worth it! I would recommend talking to Raj down by the hut on the beach as he has plenty of day trip excursions at a better price than what you find on websites, he arranges taxis to pick you up and drop you off as it’s all part of the experience day. We visited the botanical gardens, swam with sea turtles, visited Port Louis and various temples. It was beautiful The hotel offers various entertainment in the evening, sometimes live singing? Sometimes DJ or disco, plus there are lots of activities in the day. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel, it’s absolutely beautiful, and we already said we will be coming back again in the future!

Staffs were very polite and accommodating to us.. bartenders Neelesh and others made us cocktails not on the card. Suren from the beach restaurant was helpful. We participated in a musical quiz in teams on our second day prepared by Clive near the pool which was funny, along with other residents.
