Riverside Bungalows

What a lovely place to stay, with a very comfortable room and beautiful grounds! Carlos is a thoughtful, helpful host, and his son Charlie, who runs the restaurant in the evenings, is also charming and gracious. We wish we could have stayed longer!

We loved our stay here. Family of 4. Kids 8 & 10. You have your own little modern style bungalow and it was comfortable and spacious enough for the 4 of us. Air conditioning and good hot water. A nice outdoor patio that felt somewhat private and had a good sized refrigerator for use. They have a pool and small restaurant which is nice if you don’t want to head out for food. It’s owned and run by a local family who were so nice and attentive. And very proud of what they’d built. They have two dogs that my children adored. And they were lots of iguanas and lizards and birds. Every day there is a pair of macaws that come to the property. It’s well located but you do need to go up a dirt road a ways to get to it. There wasn’t too much to walk to so it is a good idea to have a car.

Having previously enjoyed our stays at Carlos' family's prior resort, we looked forward to booking his new venture in the same wildlife rich locale and were more than delighted with the cabins, pool, bistro, grounds and creek access - an oasis in the forest. Everything was new and tastefully designed (and painted) and we reveled in all the extra room provided by our covered front patio. On our second day my wife had a medical episode and Carlos, always treating us as family, expedited us to the nearest private clinic to attend to our emergency. Sadly, we had to miss two nights stay and 'young Carlos' waited several hours for our late return on the fourth night to ensure our cabin access and to inquire about my wife's health. True concern, genuine people, great people, and a wonderful new resort. Without through traffic even better for watching toucans et al and one rainy season later the resort will be even more lush. Grateful for the help and hope we can have an uneventful return. Ross and Sandie

What an amazing place! The family that owns this place is the best: such kind people who are always in for a laugh and always are willing to help you with anything! The rooms are very clean and the size of the bed is amazing. The view is absolutely perfect with monkeys and macaws to watch from your own terrace. And there is great food. We had a wonderful time and already miss the place. Highly recommended! Muchos graçias Carlos, Marina and Charlie!

This is a lovely B&B in Manual Antonio and definitely our favorite of our 4 trips to Costa Rica. The location is perfect -quiet, tucked away, wildlife is abundant, the accommodations are comfortable, clean, and unique. The breakfast and dinners are delicious, and the owners are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We are thankful to Carlos, Marina, and Charlie and the staff of Ana, Ferdinand, and Chef Carlos along with puppy dogs Ash and Kia. We highly recommend this place for your stay in Manual Antonion. Merci à Riverside Bungalow pour sa gentillesse et sa disponibilité. Le personnel est très serviable et très à l'écoute surtout auprès des enfants. Les prestations sont au top du top. Nous avons profité de cet endroit pour prendre notre p'tit djeuner avec des petits singes ! La nourriture est excelente et les prix sont des prix moyens (ni trop bas ni trop elevé). Tarif identique à ceux qui se pratiquent au Costa Rica. La piscine chauffée à plus de 30° est vraiment idéale pour se délasser à la fin de votre journée. L'hébergement est situé bien enre traint de la route, donc vous pouvez profiter du calme et de la Pura Vida.

Espectacular. Las habitaciones son grandes y acogedoras cln todo lo que se necesita para estar bien. Aninales por doquier, la quebrada que pasa justo frente a los bungalows hace que sea super fresco estar al aire libre. 20 de 10
