Hotel Villa Annette

My wife and I stayed one night at Hotel Villa Annette and chose this boutique accommodation as we were seeking a relaxing stay away from the hustle and bustle of crowds. The hotel (which has 12 rooms) is located high on the hill in a quiet location and offers lovely views of the Bay of Rabac. Ample free parking is readily available, with the rooms on the higher floors (which are accessible by stairs) having the best views, with rooms on level 3 offering the best outlook. Our Suite was extremely spacious, nicely furnished, clean, comfortable, and comprised a bedroom with a king bed and TV, a living room with a sofa which converted into an additional double bed and another TV. There were also two bathrooms (one with a bathtub), whilst the balcony was large and offered a nice view of the bay. The room included two air-conditioners, a mini bar refrigerator stocked with a variety of drinks, as well as tea / coffee making facilities. The free Wi-Fi worked well. The swimming pool area was a lovely feature of the complex and besides having pool lounge chair seating (with the option of umbrellas) around the pool, also had an undercover bar / dining area where one could order drinks and also light food such as tapas, schnitzel, chips, sandwiches, and the like for lunch or during the course of the afternoon. The quality of the food was very good. The buffet breakfast was excellent with a large variety of food choices available, as well as the option to have eggs cooked to your liking or have breakfast in the nearby outdoor garden if one wished. Staff were very efficient, friendly and provided first-class service adding to the quality of our stay. It should be noted that the hotel restaurant is not open for evening meals, and you really need to have your own vehicle to be able to access the restaurants in Rabac (5-minute drive), as to walk entails at least a 30-minute walk down and then in excess of 45 minutes to walk back up the very steep hill to the hotel. Staff were very helpful in providing the best parking options in close proximity to the restaurant we had booked. In conclusion, we thoroughly enjoyed our very relaxing and peaceful stay at Hotel Villa Annette and would have no hesitation in staying at this location should we return to Rabac.

It is a fantastic hotel the pool is so relaxing ,and the service by Philip was excellent nothing was too much trouble , the wine was lovely in ice bucket the tapas at lunch time was so tasty all local sourced , rooms beautiful, you do need a car or be very fit we found the walk down enjoyable, not the walk up we are in are 60s tho lol

We just love the place. So relaxing so comfortable and such good food. Welcomed us with an amazing meat plate. The staff is just amazing, love their energy. The room had an amazing view of the sea and oil trees. We loved the pool it was so relaxing. Cant wait to return ＜3

Sehr große Suiten mit hervorragendem Frühstück. Der Pool ist ein Traum und man hat einen tollen Blick von der Terrasse. Sehr freundlicher und zuvorkommender Staff. Sogar zu sehr später Stunde noch erreichbar. (Ein großer Dank an Ivana!) Wir kommen gerne wieder um die Ruhe im gepflegten Garten und am Pool zu genießen. Alles in allem ein weiter zu empfehlendes und geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Boutique Hotel.

Das Haus ist architektonisch schön auch wenn es schon ca 20 Jahre alt ist. Das Hotel hat den Restaurantbetrieb ohne Vorankündigung eingestellt-es gibt nur täglich das gleiche 3-Sterne Frühstück vom freundlichen aber völlig überforderten Personal. Essen im Ort ist wegen völliger Überfüllung des Ortes mit Massen von Touristen kaum möglich, da kein Platz zu finden ist. Das gleiche gilt für den Strand: die Osthälfte des Ortes ist von mehreren Valemar Hotels unter eigener Kontrolle, die Westhälfte von anderen Massenbetrieben . Die Strasse in das Ortszentrum runter und zu den winzigen Steinstränden im Ort ist ca 1,5 km sehr steil, Parkplätze ( alle kostenpflichtig) gibt es viel zu wenige Der nächste anfahrbare Naturstrand in ca 20km Entfernung ist auch voll zugeparkt Villa Anette ist stark überteuert - grosse Zimmer aber sonst kaum Service. Der eiskalte Pool hat zu viel Chlor und wurde schon lange nicht gereinigt und instandgesetzt (fehlende Keramiken) wohl noch nie. Der Zimmer-Reinigungsdienst ist abgestellt und muss seperat bestellt werden. Die Lage oberhalb des Ortes bietet guten Ausblick, welcher jedoch durch Baustellenlärm am Wochenende durch das im Bau befindliche Nachbarhaus beeinträchtigt wird.
