Great authentic Maldives island. A bit rainy and windy, but it did not stop us doing any activitu. Totally safe and lots of hidden places to explore. Hotel staff was very nice and friendly, the manager really went extra mile to make us best experience. My daughter made a friend with Jonny, the parrot.

Great resort with very friendly and helpful staff. The stay at the resort was very pleasant and homely. Maria does a very good job and takes time for each guest whenever possible. They try to please every guest. The food in their restavrant is very tasty.

The hotel and restaurant were excellent. Staff was dedicated, helpful and fun. The rooms are large and clean, equipped with air conditioning. Trips were a wonderful and unforgettable experience. Beautiful sea and beach. Amazing animals, manta rays, sharks, turtles... 🥰 M&J😍

The most amazing week in my life. The staff is friendly and helpful. It is realy a joy staying here. The trips were excellent, well arranged and fun. The rooms are big and clean and airconditioned. The sea is amazing. It really smelks for more. We will come back 😀.

Amazing place and service and great trips they organize. Very helpful people, my room location and the beach area were great. Rasdhoo is a small beautiful island 60 mins away by speed boat from Male/ Maldives You get to enjoy the nature and meet locals

We didn't book rooms there, but went there every night for dinner during our Rasdhoo holiday. Large variety of food, good quality, very fair prices. Staff/waitresses are extraordinarily friendly, always with a smile.

In February 2024 we spent a bit more than a week in the Shallow Lagoon Hotel on the Rasdhoo island. And what a week it was! Everything was simply magnificent. We felt genuinely welcome from the very first moment we set our foot on the island’s sand. The hotel staff deserves all the credit for that. They were all extremely friendly, doing their utmost to make our stay as pleasant and relaxed as possible. They made sure that our rooms were clean at all times and that the same applied to the whole hotel area too. The food was local and- great. One cannot overlook how it got served- in a well shaded tropical garden covered by sand which enabled us to walk barefoot from our rooms directly to the dining area. While enjoying our food, a few very friendly parrots regularly joined us; Johny was the bravest one, sitting on our shoulders and chatting with us. The hotel people also organized a bunch of wonderful trips for us, including snorkelling on remote coral reefs, picnics on other islands (Madivaru sand bank, Thoddoo…), night fishing with the locals, diving with the mantas and last but not least- a wonderful dinner under the stars at the local bikini beach. The scuba dives provided by the hotel’s scuba centre (which was extremely well equipped and staffed) were just the cherry on top of the cake. Every Shallow Lagoon Hotel staff member did their best. However, Maria deserves a special credit for organizing everything in such a manner that our trip to Maldives simply exceeded our expectations. We do recommend staying on Rasdhoo which is a “local” island and hence offers visitors a possibility to blend in with the local residents and get a feeling of their day-to-day routine (which is something that one cannot get by visiting a “resort” hotel). And- of course- we do highly recommend staying at the Shallow Lagoon Hotel. Maria & co., thank you once again for making our family vacation unforgettable.
