The Rocking Horse Inn was a fantastic stay. The host is super friendly and accommodating. He kept out snacks, drinks, fruit the entire time I was there. It is a wonderfully curated turn of the century home with beautiful antiques. (Which may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I certainly appreciated them.) I will be returning to the area and definitely will rebook with the Rocking Horse Inn.

This was our second stay at The Rocking Horse Inn and we thoroughly enjoyed both stays. This older home is loaded with charm, is very comfortable and Bob is so nice and hospitable. They offering of snacks and beverages is beyond generous and the breakfast was perfect to cap our stay. Thank you Bob! We'll be backnthe next time we are loooking to stay in the area.

If you are looking for something unique with a lovely host, check out the Rocking Horse Inn. Decorated with Victorian antiques, the owner obviously puts thought and care into your stay. He was the kind of person willing to go above and beyond. Even carried my heavy bag downstairs for me.

The individual entry code was very easy to use coming and going. The very unique time period of this Inn was inviting and almost like time travel at times! The generous 24 hr available snack and food items were most welcome! But above all the host Bob is an extremely pleasant and kind person! I had an overwhelming sense of peace while staying here.

We stayed for one night at the Rocking Horse Inn after going to a concert in Kent. The inn was very quiet; I think we were the only ones staying there that night. We particularly liked the front and side porches, gardens, the antique rocking horses in every room, and the other antiques throughout the inn. The breakfast, while self-serve, was very well organized in the beautiful dining room, and the host provided a variety and abundance of food options. We particularly liked the bowl of fresh berries. Our room and bed were comfortable. The bathroom was tiny but adequate. My only complaint is that the carpet had several stains and needed either a deep cleaning or replacing. However, in an old house, there is always something that needs updating. We enjoyed our stay!

Endearing house. Generous snack options. Tub set up is awkward—can’t turn on shower and shampoo and soap dispensers out of reach once you’re sitting in the tub. Comfortable bed. Quiet room.

I read the reviews and decided to book...I am not sure I was at the same place. I am not able to upload the pictures I took. The ****s outside over took everything. The place is very run down. The stains on the bedroom carpet were kind of gross. No one mentioned the trains blowing their whistles all hours of the night. The bathroom towels looked like they were rags. I went to make raisin bread however it expired in May. Bob was very nice on the phone but we were there alone as Bob was out of town. I am not sure of the opinions of the other reviewers but my experience was very different.
