The owner was very nice. One drawback was customers in one floor needed to share bathroom

Nothing to note as negative feedback. The room was great: nice beds, big enough for 2 people, a TV and plenty of resources. A shared and clean kitchen and bathroom. There are 3 bathrooms total and a nice lounge upstaires. Everything was amazing and the location is ideal. Very close to the city centre and a 5 minute walk to Reykjaviks famous church. In short: a great place to stay at. Highly recommend!

Everything we could’ve hoped for. Like a home from home. Large clean room. Bicycles for free which we borrowed for our tour of the city before dinner. Stayed open for our late arrival. Greeted with fresh mango juice and cake. Two minutes from the central cathedral so easy to find our way home!.

What a great location! The view from the viewing lounge was great. The staff were helpful and friendly. We borrowed bikes to get around a bit. The room was comfortable and nicely decorated with a huge TV. The kitchen was well stocked with tea, coffee and cake. Very pleasant stay.

We stayed at the Bakassel cabin on Lake Thingvellir. What a treat! This location was a perfect "base camp" for all the exploring we did on South Coast, Golden Circle, Borgonnes, and Reykjavík. It was the perfect spot to start and end our days in an extremely clean and comfortable cabin. The cabin is well-equipped as we immersed ourselves into the Iceland experience. It felt like home as it is so peaceful and beautiful with sunrise and sunset views over the lake. The hosts are so warm, welcoming and helpful. When we return, we will only look to Freyja Guesthouse again.

The location is great. The room was fine, but not updated. There is peeling paint in the bathroom and kitchen. The Mango smoothies are delicious and I appreciated having access to a kitchen. However, the bathroom is shared by quite a few guests and we had to wait our turn. The walls are very thin so that when other guests arrived late, we were awakened and could her them talking even in a low tone. I paid for 3 nights, but decided to leave after the first night. I asked for a partial refund, but was told, "unfortunately, that is not possible."

located downtown & very near lots of activities. The room was very beautiful & provided every luxury you could want. We had a party of three but there was still lots of space even with all our suitcases. Parking was on the street but we were able to park nearby.

I had the most wonderful stay here this February. This guesthouse is really well run and it's clear the owners put a lot of thought and care into their guesthouse. It's very clean, the bed is nice and comfortable, and the room was plenty warm. (and you can control the heat on the radiator on the side, so it's whatever setting you like best) There is a kitchen which has everything you would need for making coffee or tea or even meals, and has plenty of dishware/cutlery. There's salt and pepper and coffee/tea provided. Each room has it's own shelf in the refrigerator and they really got the extra mile with the smoothies they have ready for you on your shelf each morning. There are extra towels in the bathroom if you need them, and l"Occitaine products are available in the shower and at the sink for everyone to use. If you are worried about the shared bathroom situation, it's not a problem at all. There are 3 floors and each has a bathroom; so if by chance it's occupied when you need it on your floor, there are 2 others to choose from. All are clean and well kept. The location is also a wonderful feature here; it's just south of the cathedral at the top of the hill. And from the second floor kitchen, you look right out at it. Lastly, they have relationships with Braud and Co for a 20% discount on their amazing cinnamon buns, or at the art/cafe around the corner. The owners know the area well and gave me great tips on where to visit, shop and where to get groceries. Really, this place is so centrally located, it's perfect for staying in Reykjavick or getting to BSI or other bus terminals to go out from the city if you want. I will stay here again when I come back to Reykjavick!

Coming into Freyja's Guesthouse & Suites after a long flight was like coming home even though we were still thousands of kilometres away. Our Family Suite was physically and visually warm and welcoming, putting us instantly at ease. We appreciated the access to the kitchenette as well as the private bathroom. The hosts were very helpful and kind. We liked the location of our suite as well -- not only was it easy to locate, being close by Hallgrimskirkja Church, but we had more privacy being in an almost separate structure at the back of the main building. The breakfast available at Reykjavik Roasters was delicious, savoury and filling. We would definitely stay there again, and recommend these accommodations to others.
