Ilyssion Beach Resort

The hotel is so beautiful with the most amazing views in a gorgeous location. We made the most of our stay but unfortunately we wont be returning for a number of reasons. Mostly due to the food options not being suitable for us. The hotels description on the On The Beach Website also states that the hotel provides a variety of snacks at the poolside bar and a kids club, but this wasn’t the case. Staff are lovely and the rooms are clean, pool is great too. But for the extra fortune we spent on eating out I would definitely pay extra to go somewhere else next year. Food/Drinks Drink options were great, especially the ice coffee by the pool, and the several cocktail choices. The food we saw looked mediocre. Nothing was labelled except for what the meat was so it was unclear what things were. I asked the hotel for a schedule of what food options would be available on the buffets each day so that I could prepare my Autistic son. Chris advised he would provide this the day before but I only received this once, and the description he gave was incorrect compared to what was available that day. Each day we looked in the restaurant at meal times but the food wasn’t ever suitable, there wasn’t much variety and it was very repetitive. We ended up with store bought snacks during the day, then eating out at local restaurants each evening. The website states the pool bar serves a variety of snacks, but this isn’t true. Room/Facilities We stayed in a junior suite , 2 adults and 2 kids. Upon arrival, the room was spacious, clean and well presented. The addition of a mini fridge was brilliant and very useful. The balcony was sea facing with beautiful views of the hotel grounds. Towels and bedding were changed regularly, although the fresh towel usually smelt like food. The floors in the bedrooms were mopped and bins emptied but the bathroom was never cleaned throughout the duration of our 10 day stay. The room had no running water on two occasions, both times it was for the first half of the day which meant we couldn’t brush our teeth, flush the toilet, wash hands or have showers until way past lunch time. Pool/beach/sea The pool area was beautiful and clearly well maintained, although there was occasionally a terrible sewage type stench around the sun bed areas which was very unpleasant. The sunbeds were easily accessible, we were at the pool daily from 09:30 ish and were always able to find a sun bed. The beach was lovely, rocky as described on the website, there was a ladder into the sea which was brilliant. Staff Majority of the staff were the friendliest bunch you’ve ever met. The bar staff were fantastic and always served you with a big smile. The cleaner entered our room daily but she regularly didn’t knock, and when she did she didn’t wait to be invited in which made my children quite anxious. Entertainment I didn’t see any entertainment or a kids club for the duration of my 10 day stay. The playground was cute and provided some entertainment thou

Firstly, the hotel is in a great setting, albeit fairly isolated (approx 2km from Pefkos, with no real footpaths beside the road). The bus stop to Pefkos/Lindos (€1.8pp each way)/Rhodes Town (€6pp each way) is right outside. Bus prefers cash. On arrival we had to pay a tourist tax of €22 per room for the week, and put down a deposit of €30 per room, all in cash, so make sure you have enough €s with you. Rooms we had were good, each with a sea view balcony, A/C (no additional charge) and fridge. Rooms were cleaned each day. Food is basic, and food times can be very busy at times, and could do with more big family tables. Hot breakfast options include frankfurter type sausage pieces, mushrooms, tomatoes, and eggs (boiled and scrambled). Cereals, pastries, fruit, yoghurt, cold buffet, and hot and cold drinks are also available. A new volume toaster is really needed as the one that was there only toasts 1 side... very slowly. Lunch and dinner are variations of the same meat (chicken pieces/drummers and pork) and fish types for that day. The daily meat 'specia'l usually runs out about half way through service. A varying potato dish is also served (mash or wedges or chips), basic mimi pizza squares, and limited veg options. The salad bar is nice. Very basic and limited pudding selection. Alcoholic drinks are very weak, which is refreshing through the day, but you may want to include your own duty free for the evening. The pools are very nice, with ample access to free sun loungers. There is access directly into the Med for some sea swimming. Evening entertainment is very limited (only 2 of the 7 nights we were there), so evenings may be a bit boring for kids or couples. The hotel staff are lovely, and work very hard. The evening bar only had 1 staff on, which meant queues for drinks. Bar closes at 22:45. There is a handy mini shop in the foyer.

Hotel's location between Pefki and Lardos village is simply perfect. The quick access to the beach, well-equipped rooms, and multiple swimming pools made our stay unforgettable. The four-kilometer distance to Lardos village and the 800 meters to Pefki were very convenient for exploring.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Ilyssion. The superior rooms with sea views were comfortable, and the on-site amenities, including a tennis court and pool table, kept us entertained. The hotel's main bar and pool bar were great places to unwind with a drink.

Hotel Ilyssion is an ideal choice for families. The children's swimming pool, play area, and the fun club ensured our kids had a blast. The friendly staff and multiple amenities made our stay truly enjoyable. Plus, the close proximity to Lindos and other nearby villages was convenient.

We had an incredible stay at Hotel Ilyssion. The proximity to the sea and the majority of rooms offering a sea view were amazing. The four swimming pools, including the one with seawater, provided a perfect place to relax. We loved the children's play area, and the well-equipped rooms were comfortable. Overall, a delightful experience.

Exuded cleanliness and maintained a pristine atmosphere throughout. From the lobby to the rooms, every corner was spotless, reflecting the high standards of hygiene. The reception staff were courteous and efficient, ensuring a smooth check-in and providing useful information. A clean and welcoming environment right from the moment I arrived, making for a pleasant stay.

This hotel is elegant and lux! The prices were surprisingly affordable for such an extraordinary experience. The room was spotlessly clean, offering comfort and relaxation. The restaurant served mouthwatering dishes, leaving my taste buds dancing with joy. The pool provided a refreshing oasis, and the breathtaking sea view was simply mesmerizing. 100% I will be back for more days!

Stayed for last week in September 2023. All staff very friendly, room was clean and tidy, great views out to the beach and across Pefkos bay. The meals that we had were okay and very much what you would expect from that price of all inclusive in Rhodes. The room was clean and towels changed when needed. Plenty of room by the two pools or on the beach. The pool bar was great and although it didnt serve spirits, the beers and soft drinks were fine. We arrived at 11:30 pm and were given a welcome drink and all explained. 30Euro deposit for remote control and after the 1 st day we paid 8Euro for air con which was fine given it was in high 30s. Value for money and would consider the hotel when booking next year
