Oak Tree Lodge Rhyll

Room was lovely, outdoor dining and seating. A novel idea that you cook your own breakfast. You can walk all around Rhyll. The Foreshore Restaurant has beautiful food and friendly staff. Bus stop is just a short walk to the corner store. The corner store also has everything you might need and more.

Very clean and comfortable accommodation. Simple booking process and prompt response to any queries we had. Even heated a heated floor in the Bathroom. Beautiful gardens surrounding the property and very quiet. Not on a major road. Ample breakfast provisions provided. A lovely Sunroom so one can enjoy the garden view whilst having Breakfast. Walk to the sea shore and food outlets at Rhyl. Not far to drive to any of the attractions on Phillip Island.

We recently stayed in Acorn Cottage for 3 nights. We chose Rhyll for peace and quiet away from Cowes and the cottage did not disappoint. Very comfortable king-size bed, breakfast supplies in a great little kitchen, roomy bathroom and a sunroom to reflect on the day’s adventures. Everything for our needs as well as off-street parking. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Stayed in the Boat House for 2 nights with my partner. Beautiful rooms and decor, very cosy and welcoming. Was a peaceful location compared to Cowes but only a short drive away. Could not fault! Thanks for having us!

This superb accommodation complex provided the perfect backdrop for our much anticipated family holiday. The tranquil garden setting provided cool relief through some hot days, and the well laid out and appointed cottages ensured we were well rested during our stay. Our host Max (and family) could not have been more welcoming to us. We look forward to returning at some stage in the future.

With thanks to our fantastic host Max and his family, we were lucky to enjoy the gorgeous Oak Tree Lodge. Our family scattered across 3 of the separate cottages for our stay, all are well appointed with all the amenities needed. We used the communal BBQ and enjoyed time in the gardens for meals and leisure. Only a short walk around Rhyll and short drive to all the main attractions on the Island. We will be back - this place was just perfect.

We stayed 3 nights in the "Gate House" at Oak Tree Lodge and it was absolute paradise. Max and family have thought of everything; a huge amount of thought has gone into the decor, location, amenities and garden. The living areas were fantastic - with beautiful spots to curl up with a book both inside and outside - and having a luxe king-size bed to collapse into at night was sensational. Rhyll itself is gorgeous - tiny and calm and relaxed, with amazing fish and chips and a lovely restaurant, all within walking distance. The Rhyll General Store is probably a 3 minute walk from the Oak Tree Lodge too, but the town of Cowes is only a quick drive away. Phillip Island's other amazing attractions are all easy to get to as well (and since we didn't see them all, we will have to come back and stay at Oak Tree Lodge again!) Max and family were lovely. Max was very responsive and went over and above to ensure we enjoyed every aspect of our stay! Absolutely delighted with our time at Oak Tree Lodge. I think this is probably the most perfect accommodation in the most perfect little hamlet in Victoria!

An unplanned trip to Phillip Island found us scrambling for accomodation over a very busy period. On speaking to Max he went out of his way to assist and we were able to spend one of our nights in this lovely accomodation. The raving reviews are spot on-a tiny oasis amidst all the luxury to ensure a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Max even went out of his way to find us further accommodation. Highly recommended.

Charming accomodation, pros and cons on our stay at the lovely blue "Boat House": Pros: - Clean throughout, bed, bathroom, toilet etc - can't complain. - 6 eggs, bacon, OJ, yoghurt, museli, cereal, oil, butter, jam, vegemite, honey, salt, peper and crackers included. Love that as save money going out for breakfast. More coffee pods would be nice though! - Comfy bed. - Spacious bathroom, good water pressure in shower. - Comfortable sofas and charming aesthetic! - Distance to attractions in the area is great, very well appointed. - Carport included so I was very happy about that when it hailed! Haha. Cons: - When I originally booked this many months ago, "ocean view" was advertised. It was almost completely obstructed by trees. On the flip side I see the website has been updated now and that has been removed, so good for future bookers but I was disappointed initially as I booked this room entirely based on that. - Walls must be paper thin because we could hear every flush and shower next door took, which was infuriating when they took x3 20 min showers between 1am - 2am in the morning... perhaps provide ear plugs (commonly provided in city hotels) so people can block out noise to sleep if needed. - Main large burner in the kitchen doesn't work and was missing a peice - I think the cook top might need a service. All in all a very positive stay, but not 5-star worthy.
