Best hostel in Rio! After a warm welcome it was very easy to connect with other solo travellers. There's a get together every night but still the staff made sure it's quiet after 10. The location is amazing, safe and one block from the beach. Room very nice with daily cleaning. The staff is the very best! Jorge, Joao, Gabriel or Nico took are the friendliest!! They took us to local places fir Samba or Lapa that I would never have found myself. Obrigado chicos!! You're amazing! Will come back!

No soap in bathrooms for hand washing, toilets/waste bins not cleaned until after 8am at the earliest, room floors not swept and moped often enough, kitchen sink needed attention.

This is a very good hostel! It is a clean and organized hostel. It is good for short and stays. Very close to the Ipanema beach, pharmacy, markets, restaurants, bars and bakery. Also is near to metro stations. The employees are very friendly and polite.

I loved staying there, very social, very clean, great area with lots of bars, shopping, metro, and of course the beach. The staff was really friendly and helpful. I liked the activities that were offered as well as the easy going vibe and the common areas.

We enjoyed our stay. Our private room was a good size, with a comfy bed and AC. Shared bathrooms always kept clean. The bar is great and so are the staff, daily changing activities including BBQ, trips out, surfing etc. Security lockers and large bag storage lockers provided, towels changed and rooms cleaned every 3 days. Shame that the main kitchen is closed from 5pm but you can still use a microwave.

Super nice hostel with really friendly staff! Beautiful place and close to ipanema beach. Nice relaxing vibe and we had a nice barbecue as well. If I'm in Rio again, I will come back here! Thank you all!

2nd time we stayed here. Private rooms are spacious and bathrooms clean. Staff is extremely friendly! There are nice common areas and a lot of activities offered. Good to know: the hostel has a bar until 22:00, so that there is music and a vivid atmosphere! If you are looking for a totally quiet place, maybe not ideal but night rest is well respected from 22:00 onwards. Location is excellent and safe for walking around also in the evening.

our stay at mango tree was amazing! we stayed there twice for how much we loved it. lovely staff, pretty place and extremely convenient location. also a lot of activities organized at the hostel! would definitely recommend :)

I came at Mango Tree in 9/11, after two days in another hostel that was with bad structure. Through a friend, a knew Mango Tree at Ipanema and like it at first time. At night I moved and enjoyed the end of my travel. The hostel has a so good location, workers, people and astral. The rooms and the bathrooms are very clean. I loved all the areas and if I need someday, I'll stay there again, with no doubt.
