Hotel Gabry

We stayed for two weeks in Sept. Our room was fine for us, we people watched in the other hotels and the parked cars, but also lovely views of the mountains. A mini fridge would be very nice, especially with hot weather (which we had nearly every day) to keep drinks cool and for some food. There is a cupboard for one.... The aircon worked well and we certainly needed it. Breakfast is excellent, omelettes and fried eggs cooked to order, lovely cold meats, lots of fruit, yummy pastries, cakes! Also sparkling wine every morning, so I had regular Bucks Fizzes. The staff are all very good, receptionists very helpful. If you have an Android phone they have to set you up on the hotel wi-fi , but was all sorted quickly. We did take advantage of the Trentino guest card, which for north of the lake gets you free buses, free entries, or reduced entries, probably saved about £40-£50 all round. The reception has to give you a code to get it all validated, it's worth doing if you want to visit places in Riva and locally, but will only work in the north. My partner was very very happy with the secure bike storage, which is basement level with a ramp. There were many cyclists (mostly MTB) staying. The hotel is dog friendly, lots of Germans etc drive over with their bikes and their dogs. Dogs everywhere around (a bonus for me). Swimming pool was used, the pool area is small but that's fine as so many guests are out and about. Thank Hotel Gabry for hosting us on a lovely holiday.

Nice hotel close to the lake (5 min walk). Vegan breakfast options and friendly staff. There are also spa trea**ents, but that we did not have time to try. A sign also said bike room, which must be convenient if you bring your own bike.

We found check in to be simple and friendly. We were in room 344 with a view towards the lake. It did not fill the vista but we could see the lake and mountains so pretty stunning. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom served it's purpose well. The room was very clean and cleaned daily with fresh towel provided. The hotel are happy to supply pool towels as well. The breakfast selection was second to none, great egg options and the best pastry selection in the whole universe! For some reason the cakes actually tasted healthy there - all home made apparently. Remember to ask at reception for a code to activate the Guest Card app....it gets lots of freebies such as free bus travel, entry to Arco Castle and the Bastion. The location was good, around 3 mins to the park at the lakeside and depending on your route, around 15 to 25 mins into the old town. I really could not fault this place for the price we paid. One thing I did miss was a small fridge in the room...it would have been handy for snacks etc.

Stayed in here for a week. The staff was friendly, I found the lobby really awesome looking. It was very modern and the breakfast room had that same vibe as well. There was three of us, but we only got one key card, which I found a little strange but it didn't bother much. The breakfast was delicious and there were loads of options. The pool area was really nice too, but there could be a few more sunbeds, as on especially sunny days they were all taken very quickly. The rooms weren't as modern as the lobby, but they were pleasant. The bathroom was nice and clean, no complaints. The beds were okay, not the most comfortable but I as a deep sleeper was satisfied. The aircon was actually good, wasnt too loud but really cooling. Overall it was quite an enjoyable experience. Would stay again because of the quite low price.

Excellent hotel situated off the main road, a five min walk to the lake & a nice stroll down to the ferry terminal. All the staff we met were friendly & professional and the manager always had time to say ‘hello’. Our room was clean & comfortable & we had a lovely view of the mountains. We joined Max for a Tai Chi class & a morning hike & he is an amazing masseur. Breakfast was excellent in a relaxed room with plenty of choice; fruit, cakes, freshly made eggs, pancakes. We throughly enjoyed our stay & would recommend.

We had a great view from the balcony of the mountains. All the staff we met were friendly & professional, the manager always had time to say ‘hello’. We joined Max for a Tai Chi class, an early morning walk & he is an amazing masseur. The breakfast room was excellent & there was so much choice including freshly cooked eggs, pancakes, fruit, cakes. Would definitely recommend & would happily return.

The location of the hotel is great, all near (restaurants, beach, shops) and more shops nearby (short bus trip's distance). Loved the swimming pool. Breakfast in the hotel is amazingly good in their very stylish restaurant. Staff is very friendly and helpful, Thank you all!

This is an excellent little 3 star hotel quietly situated away from the main road but not far from a bus stop and the lake. We took advantage of the great free bikes to get to Torbole and the ferry terminal (a good 25 min walk). We also hired eBikes from the hotel, which were fantastic for a longer trip to Lago di Ledro. The breakfasts had a fantastic choice of cakes and everything was efficiently run. The rooms were clen, pleasant and quiet with a lovely view of the mountains. The reception staff - all 3 we met, were especially charming and helpful. I would most certainly return if I visit Riva again.

This hotel is in a good location, close to the lake and a selection of restaurants, and about a 15 minute walk from the centre of Riva del Garda. The rooms are spotless and the beds are very comfortable, and even the basic ones are a good size. The staff are very friendly and helpful - nothing was ever too much trouble for them. Breakfast is good with plenty of variety. We used the free bikes one day to cycle to a nearby town for lunch and they were just fine for the job. The only small issue was that there are not enough sunbeds by the pool and it is infuriating when guests leave their towels on the beds first thing in the morning and then disappear for hours before using the pool. Maybe there could be a sign asking/directing people not to do this. I would definitely return to this hotel.
