Good points SOME staff were helpful Rooms were cleaned daily Comfy bed Close to train Bad points Hotel is more like a hostel, it is definitely not a 3 star. Rooms are average if you just want to lay your head Reception is on the 3rd floor, superior rooms are on the 6th floor. You can upgrade to this upon check in. 6 flights of stairs Lift is very old fashioned, looks like it’s from the 1930s. Can only fit two people in at a push with a suitcase. No good for wheelchairs. Hotel doesn’t specify if you have mobility problems, this hotel is extremely unsuitable if you do. If the lift door isn’t closed properly on any floor, You can’t call the lift as it won’t work. Then you will have to walk the 6 flights of stairs. Very noisy at times when people are just closing the bedroom doors. We had groups of youngers on our floor who were running up and down the corridors into the early hours, we had to go to tell them many times. Hotel staff weren’t helpful with this. Breakfast is continental and in a very small room by reception. We didn’t try the breakfast and it wasn’t very personal. Hotel entrance is uninviteing and wide open to anyone to walk into. Hotel was like a building site, the whole 4th floor is being wiped out and drilling noise was loud and also the smell of cigarette smoke coming through the floors from them. If you want more of a nicer place to stay and have a nice reception to relax etc this isn’t the place!!!
