Stayed for 2 nights over the bank holiday weekend. Welcomed by a very enthusiastic team member who couldn’t do enough to help us. This property is a little tired, plug sockets are in short supply, in newer PI properties you have them on either side of the bed, they are lacking here and only available by the desk. No air conditioning, luckily it wasn’t hot but I wouldn’t want to stay here on the rare occasions that the sun does shine. Also worth mentioning that there is no lift so take into consideration carrying luggage up the stairs if you are allocated a room on the first floor. Walls between rooms are a little thin. Apart from this, everything as you would expect from a PI. If you are planning to eat at the adjacent Beefeater I would recommend booking in advance if you have a specific time in mind to eat, there were only tables available from 2015 onwards when we arrived which was later than we wanted so we headed into town. On that note, transport is required to get into Ross on Wye, it is not an easy walk. This is the first PI we have stayed in where we could watch the sheep from our window which we thoroughly enjoyed!
