Holiday Park Santa Ponsa

Just returned from a 5 night stay here with friends. The staff were really friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. Drinks selection was great. Plenty of food on offer, which was all reasonably priced and tasted great. Great central location, short walk from bars, restaurants and shops. The only gripe I would have is the rooms are very basic. Only a small mirror in the bathroom. Uncomfortable beds and very cold on an evening. Reception do provide blankets on request. A luggage and shower room is available if you have a later airport transfer, however I suggest keeping a towel with you as later in the day reception do not have any available.

Booked this place with Family and Friends as a great base whilst we were in Santa Ponsa. Self catering basis worked well with our younger children and gave us that freedom to get out and enjoy our day. The Pool Bar team August and Tiffany were amazing from start to finish! Couldnt do enough for us and were so helpful with the kids, made staying by the Pool so much more pleasant daily with a great selection of drinks and food. No entertainment at the hotel but a short walk across the road to the Holiday Centre Apartments provided a great Childrens club and Activities and Evening Entertainment. There are a lot of steps at this complex but you get used to them.. eventually ha! Pool is an excellent size and the sun lounger space is massive, with a lower terrace to expand down to if it ever gets too full. Never struggled with getting a sun lounger and none were broken! The Cleaning and support staff were amazing at their jobs, never seemed to stop and kept rooms and grounds looking so clean and tidy. The rooms are slightly outdated and tired but have everything you need and the reception can assist with deposit boxes and Aircon etc.. (Aircon has to be paid for, but fans can be provided for free) It was cash only at this hotel so point to note* Wifi is generally good throughout the complex with some private networks available as you walk down to the beaches through the shops and bars etc.. Plenty of restaurants and bars, souvenir shops on offer close by too. Id definitely return!

Basic apartments but for us this was perfect as was just a base . Staff really nice and very helpful . Clean bedding and towels . The only thing I would update were the sunbeds they had seen better days. The apartments themselves are in a great location to all the bars and restaurants and it does get quite lively although far enough away that it doesn't effect a good night's sleep .

Lovely little hotel. Great staff. Fab location. Lovely pool. Absolutely nothing to fault with this hotel. Read the previous reviews and was a little apprehensive but Absolutely nothing to have been worried about. All staff were lovely and friendly. The room was a good size. Close to the beach and nightlife but not too close so got a good night's sleep. Would defo return to this hotel and recommend to friends and family.

We returned to the Holiday Park for 6 nights in mid August, having previously stayed there in 2019. We were very disappointed to find that Carl, the entertainer, who put the ‘shine’ on the place had left. No splash bingo or entertainment of any kind. The reception staff were still peddling the tale that he had left the previous week without notice even though the truth was that he had left at least a month before. There was no replacement (he would be a hard act to follow) and no apology or reason given. We knew it was basic from our previous stay but it’s now looking very tired. When we arrived late at night we were handed the sheets to make up our son’s bed ourselves even though they knew 3 of us were coming. There is enough space in the apartment but very basic. No kettle. No plug for the sink so we could wash up properly & despite asking for one we never got it. There was an extractor fan on the wall next to the small hob but it didn’t work (hadn’t for a long time by the look of it) and instead left gaps to the outside for insects to enter. The beds had springs coming through in the mattress, making them lumpy & uncomfortable. Bedding & towels were clean. The patio furniture was dirty and discoloured. The reception is bare and unwelcoming. It has plenty of space for seating but there isn’t any. The reception guy just shrugged his shoulders at the suggestion. The overall impression now is that they are raking in the money( it wasn’t cheap at £160 a night) but are not willing to spend it on maintaining or even improving it. Avoid here and go instead to the Holiday Center directly opposite where the facilities and standard of accommodation are far better for the same price or even less. That’s what we’ll do next time.

We went for a long weekend to visit friends already over there, only 25 mins from the airport and a perfect location. Only a 5 min walk from bars and restaurants and only a 10 min walk to the beach if that! The apartments themselves have everything you need for a self catering holiday and if you don't want to cook there is a lovely pool bar with a great selection of food and drink. The rooms and hotel were clean and comfy, all the staff there were amazing and so friendly but I have to say the pool bar staff were fab they made our break extra special thanks guys. The pool was spotless and a great size, there is a small children's pool beside the main pool too. Great quality, price and location

Long journey and exhausted by the time we arrived. Valerio on reception was excellent as always. We were helped with the luggage and our room quickly. The decor is ok, and not the most modern hotel but it feels like home and always clean which is the main thing. Cleaners came in every couple of days to keep it clean and put fresh towels. We love Santa Ponsa, the beach and we might even go back next summer for our 5th time...... if we did, we will stay at Holiday Park again. BTW, Valerio will give recommendations for restaurants if you ask him.

Basic and functional apartments, clean and no issues with the room. We were on the ground floor at the side of the hotel so the stairs we’re not an issue. Staff really pleasant on site, the reception is manned 24/7 and are really friendly and helpful. The apartments could do with modernising a little but for the cost it’s what you could expect. Pool is good and clean, plenty of room for sun loungers and we never had a problem if we wanted a pool day, the bar is only open during the day and there is no entertainment which is a little disappointing but Santa Ponsa is lively enough to not be bored and the main bars a very close so not too much of an issue.

Good family hotel and good for couples. Great rooms with balconies and a dining table, kitchen and separate bedroom. Staff are super easy to get along with. Reception guy is brilliant and always there with a smile and checking we were all good. Cleaners great. Ents guy great. Swimming pool nice and clean. Good resort for the beach and eating out and shopping for souvenirs.
