Guesthouse Borealis

衹能説為了便宜訂的，還沒國內7天這種酒店好呢，一個酒店連個行李寄存都沒有，水壺和吹風機還是公用的，一晚要1000多真的貴，早餐也非常簡單，總體來説為了便宜可以住否則還是算了

The house smelled like mildew, and also some strong perfume trying to hide the smell. Service was not very friendly, and the breakfast was poor. The view in the neighbourhood was depressing. First and last time to visit there, not worth of the price.

This little family run hotel has exceeded our expectations. Meticulously clean, our apartment offered plenty of space, all the kitchen amenities and a private sauna. Breakfast was fresh and generous (and catered for intolerances), staff - very helpful and friendly.

The location was perfect for us, really easy to go to the center and the Santa village. 5 min walking train station. Buffet Breakfast with good choices. The bedroom was fine, clean and the space was perfect for the 2 of us. They have in-house self cooking kitchen with pots, dishwasher and induction available. On the website there’s no information about laundry service but they do have in-house laundry service for 8€ / per load. Receptionist people are helpful and friendly.

We spent one night here just before coming back to Italy. We needed an affordable accommodation in Rovaniemi, a simple place where spending some hours before taking a very early flight. As there is a silver lining in every cloud, I start saying that the personnel have been very available. On the other hand, we paid 120 per night for a place that worth not more than 60 euros. Consider that we paid 140 per night for a 4* hotel in the city center, and the only reason we did not spend the last night there was that it was fully booked, as well as the other similar hotels. This place may be suitable if you are looking for a no-frills place, but only if you find a room for a good rate.

Ho soggiornato in questa Guesthouse per una notte. La camera piccola ma confortevole, soprattutto il materasso. Magari il cuscino era un po' piccolo. Bagno anch'esso piccolo ma funzionale, la doccia è molto pratica. La colazione al mattino è ridotta ma gustosa. Personale gentile e parla bene inglese.

La struttura è decisamente vetusta, ma per chi non ha pretese estetiche particolari è una buona soluzione, con un buon rapporto qualità prezzo. Non centralissimo ma proprio a due passi dalla stazione, in una zona tranquilla. Eravamo in sei, siamo stati due notti in un appartamento con due camere. Essendo arrivati oltre la mezzanotte abbiamo trovato le chiavi nel luogo concordato. Letti comodi, temperatura ottima, bagno piccolo ma doccia ottima, pulizia. La colazione non è il punto forte, ma non manca nulla, c'è dolce, salato e bevande varie. Nel complesso ci ritorneremmo.

Sono stato in una ventina di hotel, ma era la prima volta in una Guesthouse e la prima volta in Finlandia, quindi non so quasi niente di questi tipi di alloggio e dei prezzi di questi. Mi soffermo sugli aspetti che dovrebbero essere uguali per tutte le strutture. La porta di ingresso è chiusa a chiave, e sia questa che la porta della stanza (almeno così era la mia), sono difficili da aprire. Il bagno era un po' scomodo. La finestra era difettosa, cioè non si chiudeva completamente. Sono stato lì a Ottobre quindi non era freddo ma in Inverno sarebbe stato un problema. La stanza era pulita. La colazione buona, ma i bicchieri erano opachi, da cambiare. La posizione più che buona, la Guesthouse non è in centro, ma vicina alla stazione degli autobus e quella ferroviaria. Consiglio di andarci se ve la cavate un minimo con l'inglese, perchè la porta della struttura è chiusa e potreste dover chiamare telefonicamente la responsabile per farvi dire dove trovare le chiavi e avere altre info. Non è detto che vi arrivino per mail le indicazioni sulle chiavi, (a me non sono arrivate), e parlare faccia a faccia è meglio che parlare al telefono se non si ha grande padronanza della lingua. Tutto sommato non avrei problemi a tornarci.
