Will be staaying here in future, nicer stafff good place, great ofod, great griendlt staff, cheap beer cheep rooms. best place in rye to stay, better than *- every 3hotel in the area! no dusty rooms cant wait to cum bk soon to stay here with friends

Beautiful hotel with great accommodation and lovely staff. Would highly recommend, close to main bus and train station. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The bar downstairs has a homely and warm feeling to it, as do the local punters. Overall a great stay.

AVOID, Beds are cheap and uncomfortable, Music downstairs is loud and goes on past 11pm. Quite a rough pub, with likeminded punters, not many of them. Worst Hotel ive ever stayed in and I live life on the road working all over. Bad experience, please leave alone or read reviews on here.

Only stopped by for a lunchtime drink. Nice traditional interior and very welcoming staff. It was a very hot day, hence we decided to sit outside and "watch the world go by" so unfortunately, unable to add more.

So many doors and stairs to reach the room, like a maze. Felt like living in prison. Staff members didn’t like us for some reason, their facial expressions said it all. Not going to recommend anyone.

Had a fab few days at The Crown again, the staff and owners are friendly and accommodating and make you feel like a local. We had a family room with 4 adults sharing, it was plenty big enough, it was clean and comfortable with crisp white bed linen and the power shower was excellent. For the price you can’t fault this place, it’s standard pub accommodation, nothing flash and it’s right in the centre of Ryde. We’ll be back next year if not sooner.

I would avoid - very dated ‘hotel’ - it’s just a loud pub with awful rooms above. Lots of drunken people outside after the pub closes very late. Staff friendly and there wasn’t anything they could do to put it right. Needs a complete renovation.

just had another wonderful 7 day vacation at the Crown Hotel in Ryde on the Isle of White weather was great, the rooms are nice and comfortable, where there are tea & coffee making facilities, along with tv's in every room, all rooms are competitively priced, each and everyone off the staff to many to mention and the senior management team of Simon & Angel are so friendly that they make you feel as if you are at home. the locals are also friendly and enjoy a good chin wag. unfortunately the Crown does not do any food, but there are plenty of eateries within a 5 minute walk you can try out, or plenty of takeaways in the vicinity if you prefer that. there has just been a new bus station station built in Ryde where you can jump on a bus to any part of the Island to explore what it has to offer or you can stay in the bar area where you will enjoy sports all day on the 2 giant screens and multiple screens around the bar where they will have drink promotions on all day. I honestly would highly recommend the Crown to anyone who is going to visit the Isle of White and looking for a place to stay in Ryde.

Very good wi-fi, the rooms are clean, bed/bed linen excellent. The window would not open and it was a warm night so sweltered a bit. The rate was also good, £40 a night. I didn't find fault with the general cleanliness of the place. It was a bit dilapidated but I wouldn't expect the Ritz but I did expect to be put in a room away from the noise as it wasn't a busy time, not many guests at all. But we were given a room directly above the band so from 8.30 to 2.30 it was band practice! Not even a song that I could relate to and I love music. It was very loud and when they did stop, there was loud FEMALE voices obviously drunk that went on for a long time. So no sleep for us! We checked out in the morning and went home, didn't stop to see the Island and all the beauty on offer. Check where your room is before taking it, ask for a room away from the band practice and the late night leavers!
