As is Zermatt, Saas Fee is also a car free community. However, the hotel complex is very well organized and, after you put your vehicle in the parking structure, the wait to be picked up is minimal, under 15 minutes. The personnel is multi lingual and everyone speaks English. They are affable and available. The structure is impressive, with half of the rooms overground and the other underground. I shouldn’t really call it underground since all rooms have balconies open to outside. The rooms are in a modern and utilitarian style that will still give you a cozy feeling. The gym is ultimate. So are the pool and the rest of the spa. It is rightfully ranked in top 10 wellness resorts in Switzerland. The only negative is their smoking room. It’s nothing like we have in the States. The aspirators are very week. I’m sure this will be easily remediated. Overall, excellent. We will come back.

Superb hotel This was a special trip to celebrate a big birthday. The hotel is wonderful. We had a suite which was spacious and comfortable with a balcony looking on to the mountains. The service in the bar and restaurant was first class. We were half board and there is a set meal for half board guests. However, unlike other hotels we could swap courses from the a la carte menu. I actually only did this once as the half board menu was so good. The spa is beautiful with a lovely pool big enough for children to splash and adults to swim. There is an efficient shuttle service to the ski slopes which we used in the mornings. You can return on the shuttle but we decided to walk as it is only 5 minutes away. The hotel staff are extremely helpful and courteous and nothing is too much trouble. Saas Fee is a beautiful village, traffic free apart from the electric hotel shuttles and occasional taxis. 3 things I would change. 1.The hotel is too hot overnight and there is no way to turn all of the radiators off. We cooled down by opening the balcony door which is not very environmentally friendly. We did ask staff to help us turn radiators off but this didn’t seem to be possible. 2. The evening turn down service was set between 6 and 7- right at the time when we were getting ready to go to dinner. We did say to the housekeeper that we went to dinner at 7 but she wasn’t able to change the time. 3. There is a luxury bathroom with a jacuzzi bath. However we never did discover how to turn it on. There is a separate toilet cubicle but the main part of the bathroom has a completely clear glass wall into the bedroom meaning no privacy when using the bathroom. Can we be the only guests who like privacy when using a bathroom?

Stayed for five nights with family over new year. The hotel deserves all the plaudits from other reviews. The hotel is well placed in the centre of the village only a 10 minute walk to the ski lifts but also a five minute shuttle ride which run regularly too. The Inter sport ski shop is adjacent and accessible directly The rooms are very attractively set out and a small Christmas tree in each room was unexpected. the spa is lovely with a big pool and more saunas and steam rooms than I can imagine you might need to use. The service throughout the hotel is friendly and caring and efficient. It is a strong team. The food across the various restaurants is excellent.. the nightly tasting menu is sometimes a bit unexpected for the odd course.. I have never eaten so much celeriac.. but there is always the option to swap dishes in and out. Saas itself is not the largest ski area, not very sunny at this time of year, but the flip side is that the glacier and north facing slopes have good snow conditions. The lift system itself is also heavy on t bars and cable cars.. less good for those who like a sit down between runs. So not fully in love with the saas ski offer to be honest, but very in love with the hotel, which is brilliant.

I've stayed in many hotels around the world, and the Walliserhof is sincerely one of my favorite places to be. The combination of the beautiful space, comfortable beds, spa, and culinary offerings are top. In addition, what elevates the Walliserhof even more are their people - an incredible group who are consistently helpful, genuinely kind, positive and down-to-earth. Many thanks, Walliserhof team, for making me feel at my 'home away from home' in Saas Fee.

Hotel is really nice, very cosy room with excellent mattress and pillows. The breakfast is very good , with a good variable buffet and excellent omelettes! Spa is great and the massage is fantastic! Staff is really gentle and attentive! A bit pricey but worth! Certainly recommend !

With 2 young kids, we found the hotel to be a perfect place to stay whilst travelling around Switzerland. The shuttle service to car free Saa-Fee was quick and comfortable. The hotel is located in a beautiful location with brilliant views all round. Facilities were perfect for adults and kids.

it is an amazing hotel, service and tidiness was impressive. Very close to Ski resort and Staff were really helpful and kind. The Spa and pool was really nice and clean. Italian restaurant was very good. The skiroom was very useful for storage of Ski gears.

We stayed at Walliserhof Hotel in December 2023 and we enjoyed it a lot. The hotel is modern, with great facilities, including a very well equipped gym and a nice SPA. Our room was spacious, comfortable and well decorated (we stayed in 2.501 suite with mountain view). The mattress was of top quality. There are three restaurants in the hotel, we went to two of them (the Caesar Ritz and Del Ponte) and always enjoyed the meals, which were both tasty and creative. Notwithstanding, what we enjoyed the most was the service throughout. It was just exceptional. Ladies at the reception, waiters in the restaurants, hotel car drivers and room cleaning ladies, all made our stay memorable, and we are immensely thankful to them for such a great job. It is not so common. We would full heartedly recommend this hotel and hope to visit it again soon.
