Motel Ile d'Orleans

When first arrive I couldn't flush the toilette, turn out there had problems with plumbing and there were no running water. The reception never mention it when we arrived. Then the room was a little dusty, and when I knock painting by accident it reveals a broken air conditioner behind it. They lease bikes&scooter so I assume they get there good reviews from that cuz the room were very disappointed for the price. The cable box and TV didnt work. The on site guy try to fix it but felt bad that he couldn't. We have paid cheaper room with better room&service than this one. The pictures are very deceiving and we will not be returning for sure. Try to add pictures of the place but it not letting me how convenient!

This is a great place to stay as a base to explore the beautiful Ile d'Orleans. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room had everything we needed. It was great to be able to rent bikes from here to visit all of the local farms, vineyards and businesses.

My daughter and I stayed at the Motel I’lle D’Orleans for 3 nights. When we arrived we found a note with our room number and a code to retrieve the key. The room itself is dimly lit, basic, a little outdated and the air conditioner needs some love (very noisy) but the room was clean and the beds were comfortable enough. It does have all the amenities you need; coffee maker, tv, WiFi mini fridge etc. There is a porch to sit just outside the door with an awesome view of Quebec City (all lit up at night)! We were on a quest to find our French Canadian ancestors who lived on the island around 1660. We took advantage of the e-bike rentals and rented them for two days. We needed to ride the bikes to the other end of the island and back (about 70km round trip 😳). Francois, the owner, was fantastic. He gave us plenty of tips on how to conserve our energy and the electricity on the bikes to get us there and back, told us about the road conditions. He also, gave us plenty of recommendations for stops along the way. The island itself is very peaceful and the locals were great. We found the church where our ancestor was likely buried, the plaque dedicated to him and lots of information in the St Famille of our ancestors! This was a very personal trip for me and Francois and his staff made us feel welcome! Would definitely stay here again.

The room was clean and tidy, but what we liked the most was the view from the porch of the rooms, fantastic at night, they also have a fireplace outside and there are a lot of places to visit on the island.

Beautiful motel! My room was clean and comfortable, and came with everything I needed and more - TV, comfortable bed and blankets, towels, soap, etc. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing assistance when needed. There are plenty activities that help be busy like the e-bikes available to rent , mopeds and tours of the island. Touring the island was such a wonderful experience and allowed me to see all the beautiful sites! Even the houses were beautiful to look at and ride by on the bikes. Would definitely recommend staying here for a lovely, relaxing, and adventurous (if you choose) time :)

The motel is quite old in term of facilities and equipments. I don’t understand the high rating. Bed not quite comfortable, air conditioning without on/off. Well water not drinkable, long delay before getting hot water from the shower. 12 inches TV, dirty bathroom and very small shower, floor not leveled and I can continue.

We rented regular, pedal bicycles in July. The uphill portions are WAY too much for children + little room for bikes along the road. Two our of bike chains popped, requiring maintenance in driveways, and the brakes were bad from steep downhills. Not a fun day. Definitely not worth the price of $57 Canadian.

To arrive fron Quebec city we took a cab, is like 10 minutes, the bridge between Orleans Island and mainland is under construction so might take 20 minutes more but is pretty accesible if you're looking for a neat, quiet scape to enjoy outdoors and local products straight from the producers. The rooms were good, my friends had a big room equiped with microwave, table for 5 and a mini fridge, so we could enjoyed early and night meals together. There are single rooms as well with view to the fields and river from the deck. The proprietor received us, he's the most friendly person and the staff also were solicitous. The motel offer bike's tour or you could rent scooters to take your own trip around the Island; it seems that everyone just come for it and the staff have mastered the guiding arts to provide you a fantastic Quebeoise experience. Definitely I'm coming back next summer

We had a lovely 2 night stay, and there were 5 of us on the trip. The motel has a rustic charm which feels more like a cabin. Francois is a very welcoming host, and he helped answer questions about the local area and recommended places to visit. He also loaned us a cooler for ice while we were there. The highlight of our stay was the electric bike tour. We were really happy that we opted for the guided tour because the biking is along some of the main roads. For our group of 5, we were really able to enjoy the trip because we simply followed Antonio, our tour guide, and we didn’t have to look at maps. It is a super fun tour with stops at a strawberry field, winery, chocolate shop, and a cafe. We were really happy with our choice to stay Ile d’Orléans rather than Quebec City. We enjoyed sitting outside on the hotel deck with drinks. Also, the staff is super friendly, and they are around to start a bonfire in the evening if there is interest. The location is convenient though it is worth noting that the hotel is next to the road which can be busy during the day. There is a strawberry field across the street, and you can pick fresh strawberries. From the hotel deck, there is nice view of Quebec City in the distance. Montmorency Falls is about 10 minutes away. There are some cafes and places to eat that are conveniently located. All in all, we had a wonderful stay!
