Mas des Tourterelles

This is a very basic B&B, we were in the Blanche room on the ground floor, which is clean and a reasonable size but very basic, the bathroom just has an opaque curtain separating it from the bedroom and the "wardrobe" is an alcove with a curtain across, there is a separate toilet with a door. The external appearance is generally tatty and we really didn't want to stay for our 4 night booking when we arrived. However there are several good points, Elodie who runs the B&B (the owners are absent) is very helpful and works hard with the breakfast (served outside our room) and the rooms are cleaned daily with fresh towels, the pool is also a good size, and as others have mentioned its only a five minute walk into town. So better than our initial impression and with better furnishings and some flowers in the garden this could be a lovely place. A word of warning, checkin is between 5 and 7 pm, there is no one there between these times to check you in. The contrast with our previous fabulous b&B, (Carcassonne B&B which was actually cheaper) made this a difficult review.

We stayed for 3 nights at this lovely guesthouse. We arrived by bus from Arles and were delighted to find that the accommodation was an easy 5 min walk from the bus stop. It is great for people like us without a car as you can easily visit many other local attractions and interesting cities ( e.g. Avignon) by the very reliable ( and very reasonable priced) bus service. There is also plenty of parking space for those travelling by car. Our room was clean and bright, with a very comfy bed. We had booked ‘The Suite’ and were somewhat surprised to find that our bathroom was across the landing. An older person or child wanting to use the bathroom in the middle of the night would need to be very careful not to fall down the stairs if they were half asleep. (This was our only quibble, as the website made no mention of the fact that the bathroom wasn’t ensuite.) The bathroom itself was beautiful, with a huge bath and a very efficient, modern shower. Gladis produced beautiful breakfasts every day, and even came in to work early one day when we had an early start. Even though our plans became somewhat muddled, she was very charming and told us not to worry, and that we had not inconvenienced her. She is a very kind and charming hostess - and she has a team of other ladies working at the Mas who are also very kind and helpful. There is an ‘outdoor’ kitchen for guests to use, which meant we could make our own light meals and snacks. Teas and coffees are available too. This is a lovely place to stay, and I hope we will be able to visit again one day. Many thanks to Gladis and her team!

Tout d'abord, le personnel est très gentil. Ils nous ont beaucoup aidés. Notre chambre était propre, jolie et grande. Le lit était confortable. La salle de bain était très propre. Le matin, nous avons pris un petit-déjeuner composé de pains et de fruits inclus. Nous reviendrions.

Mon amie avait réservé le matin à 9h30 par téléphone. Le propriétaire nous avait indiqué nous avoir préparé une chambre, disponible des 16h. A 14h30, par un simple texto, notre réservation a été annulée sans explication. Nous avons essayé en vain de joindre le propriétaire pour avoir des explications… il n’a pas eu le courage de nous répondre. Il nous a fallu trouver une solution d’hébergement en urgence.

Mas rénové proche du centre-ville de St Rémy. Emplacement pratique pour visiter les alentours. Appartement simple mais fonctionnel. Literie moyenne. La piscine impraticable, verte à notre arrivée et jacuzzi pas opérationnel. Dommage. Ce lieu est fonctionnel mais manque de charme.

Cuidado! El establecimiento no informa de que la habitación tiene el baño fuera de la habitación. Esto se debería aclarar en booking y en su página web, para evitar malos entendidos. en mi caso, no quiero tener el baño fuera de la habitación. Me parece un engaño por parte del hotel. NO me parece bien que no lo informen en la reserva.

Lo de este hotel es una vergüenza. No vayáis os lo recomiendo de corazón! Estuvimos mas de una hora llamando porque por un imprevisto, llegábamos media hora tarde al check in. El check in lo tienen hasta las 19 de la tarde. De más de 15 veces que llámanos mi pareja, yo y booking, el hotel no nos contestó. Nos dejo con las maletas en la puerta, sin habitación y tuvimos que pedir otro hotel ( además en otra ciudad porque en Saint Remy ya estaba todo completo). Siendo viajera muuuy habitual jamás me había encontrado con esto y leyendo los comentarios, me he dado cuenta que no soy ni la primera ni la última persona que le ha pasado lo mismo. El día siguiente llame para pedir explicaciones y pedirles obviamente que no nos cobraran la noche y el dueño fue muy muy desagradable. Nos gritó y nos dijo que lo pagaríamos, que no era su problema. En un viaje hay imprevistos muchas veces: un accidente en la carretera (como nos pasó), un vuelo retrasado o mil cosas más… así que mejor ir a lo seguro y no dej**** engañar!

El sitio era horrible pero lo peor de todo fue la atención. Nos dejaron en la calle sin motivo y dejaron de contestarnos. No lo recomiendo a nadie! Mejor aloj**** en un motel de carretera lleno de bichos.

A notre arrivée l’employé ne trouve pas ma réservation malgré le mail de confirmation. Appel au responsable sur Paris qui a oublié de la transmettre à l’hôtel et nous laisse sans solution un samedi jour de mariage. Reçu le jour même une annulation!!!
