Invisa Hotel la Cala

It was short time for me but the trip was as adventure fir me special when your family be around and my brother and my son septicemia me in the airport when I come back from ibiza as they now i will always be there as usual thanks for your hospitality in the hotel and see you soon

Buena ubicación en Santa Eulalia, para mí la mejor zona de Ibiza si buscas ir con tu pareja o familia. El desayuno fue excelente! Aunque si tuviera que dar una sugerencia, sería que pusieran zumo de naranja natural. El check in genial, tenían disponibilidad y nos dieron la habitación antes de la hora. Para el check out, tenían disponibilidad de habitaciones y nos hicieron pagar 10€ la hora desde las 12, hasta nuestra salida. Tenemos un bebé y necesitábamos la habitación hasta después de comer para llevarlo cambiado al aeropuerto. Entiendo que si no hay disponibilidad, no lo hagan… o que si quieres irte a las 18 de la tarde, te cobren algo, pero por poco rato me parece ridículo. Yo tengo un alojamiento, y siempre y cuando haya disponibilidad no me cuesta dejar salir más tarde a mis huéspedes.

I absolutely love Hotel La Cala The bar, food, public areas and pool are all amazing Definitely a over 55's Hotel and would not suit families with children. Entertainment most nights of a good standard. Short walk to the buzzing bright lights on the Marina and public beach. Fabulous restaurants and bars - felt safe out and about as a Solo. La Cala staff from room ladies, to bar/ restaurant staff/ reception all fantastic and work tirelessly to cater for your every need. Well done all. One tiny complaint my room was directly opposite a building site with a briese block wall view where they seemed to start work at 4pm I love a Sundowner on my balcony but the terrific noise made this impossible to enjoy peace while watching the sunset l hope by 2024 the work is complete ( Not La Cala fault) Room move? Not a chance once ld unpacked 😊

Just back from a great break at this lovely hotel. It certainly is geared towards adults - I wouldn’t recommend it for families. The location of the hotel is great - close to the marina, beaches and town centre. We had a pool view room - recommend you ask for this as the other rooms face the road which could be busy and perhaps a little noisy. The room has everything you need, including a fridge and a kettle (we took our own larger mugs to get a decent cuppa). The beds were firm and very comfortable. Shower was excellent and bathroom was always clean. All staff were very friendly and professional being helpful at all times. We thought the food was great - a good choice at all times but realise there is a personal element in this assessment. Liked the fact that breakfast was open til 10.30 and dinner til 9.30. The pool area is well maintained. It opens at 9 - you only need to be there if you want a specific sun bed as due to the nature of the buildings around the pool not all beds are in the sun all day. We tended to go out and then return later in the afternoon and were able to get a bed. There is also no time limit as to when the pool closed which we appreciated. We were even told by one member of staff “it’s no problem stay as long as you.” Beds were a bit close together for our liking - again a personal preference. There is entertainment at night which was good, although entertainers had to work hard as it’s quite a reserved audience at times. However, you can also walk to other local bars easily. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the break and would recommend.

Another absolutely excellent stay at this lovely hotel. The room was very comfortable, the food varied, plentiful and delicious. Everywhere was kept extremely clean too. The charming reception staff were unfailingly helpful in every respect. My only suggestion would be that because many people need an early start (due to excursions or onward travels) it would be helpful to open the restaurant for a cold breakfast from 7.30am. At present it is only open from 8am for hot and cold food. Maybe La Cala might like to consider this as an option for the future? We shall definitely be returning!

It is important for readers of this review to understand that Hotel La Cala was everything former reviewers indicated it to be. No complaints whatsoever. All good in fact. Not so good, in fact ingenuous, was the behaviour of the travel agent Jet 2. If you are intending to stay here, the Hotel La Cala will not disappoint. Jet 2, however, showed their true colours by the way in which they handled a very serious issue for us. At point of booking, weeks before travel, it was made clear to Jet 2 that we are noise averse. I defined this for them: noise being any unwanted sound. I was advised to drop hotel management a line stating this in order that we could be allocated a quiet room. I did this and Hotel Management complied. 8 days before departure we received an email from Jet 2 advising of building work close to the Hotel. Naturally, they would wouldn't they?, Jet 2 played down any impact, (1, finishing on the 17th May, 2, working hours stated, 3) two jib cranes visible 4) areas of the hotel possibly affected. 5) work to be done in finishing off - just the painting to do!!!!!! (If true, no noise there, except that there was no painting going on and how do you paint the bare concrete skeleton of a major apartment complex? This was unacceptable on the grounds that Jet 2 knew about this building work at our point of booking, took our money and then, as a "back covering" exercise, informed us when it was really too late if we wanted a holiday. We told them we would never have booked if we had known and that we would like to cancel now despite the inconvenience. Jet 2 said there were a number of options open to us. Another falsehood. Yes, options for them to keep our money or book another of their hotels at a higher cost. In fact what Jet 2 considered to be our options, were in fact a list of alternatives costing much more OR we could cancel, Term & Conditions apply! ie we lose most of the money paid cancelling so close to the travel date. The lady dealing with our complaint at Jet 2 was a credit to her training. Grovelling her apologies, she paid no heed to what we were saying nor having anything to do with our insistence that we should have been told at point of booking. The reality is that this woman probably passed on the falsehoods given to her by people on the ground at Santa Eulalia. She was so professionally sincere. She knows the game being played out here as do Management of Jet 2. Association of British Travel Agents? (Quoted often in our telephone calls) Of course it's within their guidelines. Basically, ABTA by definition is part of the Old Boys network. Don't expect any support (in your favour) from them. It is my opinion that this holiday was mis-sold by Jet 2 and during that process we were lied to. That I do not like.

I’ll start with the positives Cleanliness excellent Location very good Staff excellent Food very good The main negative we had was my wife needed an accessible room. The room provided was generally good but the bathroom was a problem waiting to happen. The shower was fully accessible but when taking a shower the water ran along the bathroom floor leaving a pool of water on the floor near the sink. The tiles were slippery without the water but with the water it became a skating rink unless you mopped the floor with towels. The sink plugging system did not work so that was constantly draining - a nuisance rather than a danger. The wall lights over the bed were not properly fixed and the reading light bulb broke (came apart) and literally fell on my wife’s bed. We complained at reception and were told it would have to wait for maintenance on the Monday. However housekeeping turned up with a new bulb and tried to fit it. Unfortunately that didn’t work and of course maintenance had not turned up 2 days later when we left. Sorry about the review La Cala but you really need to improve maintenance and facilities in the accessible room (s) I filled in the details on the Inviesa Hotels customer feedback so hopefully they will take action.

Positives - great location, clean, decent size bedroom Negatives - has the feel of a retirement home, difficult to get a sun lounger by the pool as they are all “reserved” early on but not used until much later!! Dining room is very busy and tables are very close together.

Excellent value for money, location excellent as others have said. Beautiful marina and beach. Standards and staff in hotel very good, reception, bars,dining room, animation. Good mix of nationalities staying here. lovely atmosphere. Yes, some building nearby but nothing too invasive. Request a quiet room away from building. Local buses to Cala llonga and Ibiza town. wouldn’t have missed those days out. Cala llonga paradise cove. People watching and shopping in Ibiza town, nice walk to Dalt Vila and views amazing. Santa Eulalia tourist train to san carlos and Las Dalias hippy market good too.
