Big shout out to Antonio who was an excellent staff member that was so so helpful on our holiday, do not let him go!! He’s a star! Great family holiday, read a lot of reviews before going and the bad ones we read are simply not true. Staff go above and beyond for the guests! Lovely atmosphere with stunning views. Very clean and very welcoming!

Nothing good for 5 stars. Dont understand tui. No good for image of this good company. They have next door their own hôtel tui bleue a Real five stars. Mean i was deceived so i will think about it before using tui recommandations and also m'y Travel agency. Propose m'y help if needed with all thé évidences. I mean pictures. I did wrong choice so its m'y fault. Nothing to do about it. Its thé past i think about future. Good Luck take Care.

Compelled to leave an honest review as I was so nervous to book this reading them myself, we booked last minute and this was the option. We went with low expectations and were very pleasantly surprised. Listen, if you're looking for outstanding 5* luxury and exceptional food, this isn't the one, but we had a really lovely week, the staff were always friendly and went out of their way to help, and any minor issues were sorted immediately. We ate at various times in the buffet and the food was always hot, plentiful, and always crockery around. A little repetitive sure, but plenty of choice. We booked all 3 restaurants when booking opened the morning after we arrived, no problem, and I went back the next day to book once more for our last night. Just be organised! Those saying no value... tell me where you get a whole villa or 2 bed apartment as standard. Have paid a lot more to all be in one small room... Always plenty of sunbeds and it was a lovely environment to be around the pools and site. Small and relaxed which we prefer to the the mega resorts. The beach was truly stunning! I'm not sure the phone or TV worked and I couldn't care less, I'm on holiday! WiFi was fine for us. Do the Island day tour, it's amazing! We paddled with lemon sharks, floated in a volcanic craters salt pan waters, visited villages and exceptional landmarks and beaches. Some constructive criticism for the hotel - time to replace/upgrade the mattresses (this negativity was true, slept on springs for a week) and more vegetarian options in the restaurants please. Also please consider what music is appropriate for families poolside, uncensored ******** rap isn't the one. (This only happened once) All in all, we would go back again and we were happy. Remember it's a 5* rated hotel in Africa. More like a 4/good 3 in my opinion. Go with an open mind and just relax and enjoy! No stress

It’s clean and quiet. It’s our first time away in term time for many years! So don’t know if this is normal but we like it! Loads of spare sun beds at all times! Rooms are fine, maintenance not great. They could do with checking lightbulbs and replacing the shower trays! It is a real shame that the manager says he will take and use the feedback. That has clearly not happened. I don’t eat many chips on holiday but have never been in any hotel that’s all inclusive that doesn’t have chips! Mad! Snack bar round the pool doesn’t have chips most of the time and we have never seen chips at lunch or dinner. Go to the grill for lunch where you can get a meal with chips. 4 of our party have just gone and were told they couldn’t order just chips so they are happy to waste food which is ridiculous. Just supply them every day at the snack bar and restaurant you have kids here. Whoever heard of a hotel where they don’t have chips on offer and at all times for an all inclusive?! They would have less food waste and make parents of fussy eaters a lot happier! What reason can there possibly be for not having chips? We even checked every lunch and evening when we ate elsewhere! Food at the main restaurant is just about ok at times very poor. Little variety across the days and not a huge choice each meal time. Fussy eaters consider another hotel. My husband eats everything and I’ve never known him dislike so much! Those with young kids were struggling. There is nothing like chicken nuggets or fish fingers. And yes kids should eat better but many don’t and are fussy and you’re on holiday you want an easy life! Pizza doughy and cold. No ice cream except at the grill. There’s a machine that they actually took the cover off from this morning and got everyone’s hopes up. I saw so many people at lunchtime ask if it was working and they covered it up! Again really disappointing particularly for children. Holiday - no ice cream seriously? Take tea! They don’t refill English Breakfast tea! In your room or at Breakfast so inevitably you see people take bags for their room if they ever appear or ask for them from bars. Hopefully they might actually be honest when they say they they will take this feedback and sort this simple issue out! How to easily annoy and then easily please the British. No tea, no chips, easy for them to sort it out watch the review scores and reviews go up! Often don’t get the number of towels you should or bottles of water replaced in the rooms. Staff don’t check replacing bowls and glasses etc at meal times. Tables often aren’t properly laid and you have to nick things from another table! They aren’t huge things at all but it’s management not checking the small things and bring the overall standard down. They could do with checking their music choices for appropriateness for children too given the lyrics of a track today! And it’s not a place for twenty somethings so we don’t want that noise either! But generally music ok. Place is ok. Poor

Just returned from 7 night stay. We definitely won't return. The rooms are lovely and air conditioning works well. At least 1 film station in English. Our towels weren't replaced for most of the week until I complained. She folded them and put them back and threw one over the shower side. The drinks glasses are random sizes. A beer in a tiny glass isn't great. Cocktails were rubbish. Gin and tonic ok, beer ok. Food abysmal. I had diarrhoea after eating in the beach grill at the very start of the holiday. The buffet has nothing cooked fresh except eggs and omelette at breakfast. The bread buns are rock hard. The toast bread toasts like concrete. Nothing is hot and there's no microwave. Coffee is served in a jug which you have to get yourself but they don't tell you. It's instant coffee in a jug. The Italian meal was atrocious. We were even offered something else. Both chose pizza. The base was so overdone we couldn't cut it. We ate the topping and left the base. The starter served with garlic bread. The garlic bread was stone cold and rock hard. There is no ice cream in the Italian or buffet. When you check in the receptionist mutters something about the wristband having 100 euros. They don't explain that it allows you to go to the spa etc and spend up to 100 euros on it but then you have to pay whatever you have used. Nothing is free. We had loads of mosquitos in the apartment when we arrived and got lots of bites while in bed and we had all windows closed. The animation team are the worst I have encountered. No interaction. They turn up at the pool at 10.45 carrying a speaker. Then the music starts. Sometimes they jig about. Sometimes they do aqua gym. But they never come around the pool asking people to join. We saw one child play darts. Again nobody was asked where we were. The darts board has sunbeds underneath and on this particular day, the only day in a week that a child joined in the animation asked the guests to move. Even then it was dangerous. The child soon gave up. It's also close to the pool edge. The main entertainment is dancing with flashing lights. I couldn't watch when the lights flashed. The dancing was very boring and the audience frequently left early. We did the island tour with a local. It was ok. We went to the lemon shark beach. We didn't go in. It's nothing like TUIs pictures. You wade out up to your waist over rocks in choppy seas. Nothing like it looks on TUIs page. We did meet some lovely people staying there but we all were of the same opinion that we wouldn't return

Excellent hotel.. Great beach location…………great staff must make a special mention for Antonio the man’s a legend.. if you need help ask Antonio. Restaurants are great including the buffet restaurant with really nice a la carte restaurants as a extra option

Lovely hotel - good food and very friendly staff. The spa is excellent for a nice pamper session! The rooms are clean and tidy. The Wi-Fi isn’t great unless you’re in the hotel lobby. Special mention for Antonio who is awesome - he knows pretty much everything you’d want to know about the island and is a genuinely lovely guy.

Spent 10 days at melia tortuga - nice hotel, lovely staff especially Antonio - helped us with various things. Restaurant is nice as are the 3 themed restaurants. Rooms are not the best - in desperate need of updating. Pool area is also in need of work as tiles are coming off and a little dirty. All in all a nice stay and we had a nice family holiday.

We stayed for 10 nights mid April. After reading some of the reviews we were a bit wary, it was a special holiday and I wanted it to be right. It’s one of the nicest resorts I’ve been to. It had a very laid back vibe, very spacious with 2 big pools and 2 smaller ones for the kiddies. I don’t know how full it was but it never felt busy and although sometimes they could’ve done with more staff on the bars the service was great Food was ok, some delicious meals, some not so but you can’t please all of the people all of the time. The rooms were very spacious as were the balconies. I would go back there in a heartbeat
