Hyatt Regency Sanya Tianli Bay

Spacious and beautiful resort, but some areas need improvement We had a pleasant 4-night stay at Hyatt Regency Sanya Tianli Bay. First of all, the room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The bed was comfortable, and overall the facilities are in very good condition, especially considering the hotel only opened in 2023. The hotel grounds are large and beautifully maintained, with lots of flowers, plants and greenery. The swimming pool is also a great size, and the breakfast offers a good variety of options. However, having stayed at four Hyatt Regency hotels, we did notice some areas where this property falls short compared with our previous experiences. The breakfast was good overall, but after four mornings it became quite repetitive. We were also disappointed by the very limited selection of fresh fruit — essentially the same three options each day. The pool area has plenty of sunbeds and cabanas, but unfortunately there is very little shade directly around the pool itself. This seems to make a big difference, as during the hot, sunny parts of the day most guests avoid the pool, with many only starting to use it around 17:00 when the sun is less intense. Adding more shaded areas around the pool would make the experience much better. The biggest area for improvement, however, is the service and friendliness of the staff. During our five-day stay, there was only one day when we felt that the staff were genuinely welcoming, smiling and engaging with guests. On most days, many staff members appeared uninterested or as though they didn’t particularly want to be at work. This was quite noticeable and, for us, did not feel in line with the level of service we have experienced at other Hyatt Regency properties. The hotel also has a beautiful private beach, which is a great feature, but unfortunately it was not maintained as well as we expected. We noticed plastic, paper and quite a lot of cigarette butts on the beach that did not appear to be cleaned regularly. There are also signs throughout the property saying that smoking is not permitted in certain areas, but these rules don’t seem to be actively enforced when guests do smoke. Overall, it was an okay experience. The hotel itself is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the grounds and facilities have a lot of potential. However, improvements in staff service, pool shade, breakfast variety, beach cleanliness and enforcement of hotel rules would make a significant difference. For a Hyatt Regency property, we expected a somewhat higher standard of hospitality and attention to detail.

The Hyatt Regency has a nice big pool, sadly it only opens at 9:00 a.m. No possibility to have a swim before breakfast. The sea is very nice with a beautiful beach and again you are only allowed into a small cordoned space. It says to enter the sea at own risk, but if you leave the small shallow space they will call you with a megaphone ☹️ The breakfast is rich and has a lot of varieties ( the staff are overwhelmed at rush hours - no customer placement and kids driving around on battery suitcases are not prohibited! )

The hotel definitely gets a full rating from me. Breakfast variety was great with both Chinese and Western choices. The pool and beach were one of the reasons I chose this hotel and it did not disappoint, almost everywhere you can take awesome photos all around. Service was also fantastic, from the housekeeping staff to the front desk staff who even offered a complimentary late check out until 14:00 🥰. I’m already thinking about my next trip back to enjoy even more water activities 🌊

Amazing hotel, with huge rooms and delicious breakfast. Very close to the airport.

🇬🇧 English ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing Stay – Excellent Service! We had a wonderful stay at Hyatt Regency Sanya Tianli Bay. The hotel is beautiful, peaceful and extremely clean, with a stunning ocean view and excellent facilities. What impressed us the most was the exceptional service and kindness of the staff. Everyone was welcoming, professional and always ready to help. Since our flight was late in the evening, the hotel kindly allowed us to extend our check-out until 5:00 PM, which made our last day much more comfortable and enjoyable. We truly appreciated this thoughtful gesture. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so memorable. We felt very well taken care of from arrival until departure. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sanya. 5 stars without hesitation! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We stayed at Hyatt Regency Sanya Tianli Bay for 6 nights and we had an amazing time there. Room was very spacious with a great garden perfect for afternoon tea or dinner. The room was cleaned every day and our bedding was also changed throughout the stay. Their pink beach was such fun, our child enjoyed it very much! There are 3 different swimming pools with kids, adults and just have fun areas! Also, the hotel arranges many activities for kids of all ages. They have a great balance of green spaces and beach with a lifeguard. I most certainly recommend this hotel. to anyone looking for a peaceful relaxing please!

STAFF APPRECIATION: Momo is my MVP! I am not certain what her work hours were, but she replied promptly to any question I had no matter when I messaged her. She also kindly upgraded me from a garden room to a sea view with gorgeous scenery. I wanted to extend another night. Not only Momo, but all the staff here are professional and kind and I was greeted with a smile wherever I went.😊 The 阿姨们 especially were very lovely. HOTEL REVIEW: Incredible. While there, I had the feeling not many tourists know it exists. Part of me was grateful because it leant to the extremely peaceful atmosphere, but part of me wants to share the news of this place with everyone I meet with plans to travel to Sanya. The room was immaculate. The meals were delicious with generous portions. The pink sand was new and fun. The beach was super close, a good size, and private, so no one was fighting for space to relax or play. FLO Spa was a welcome respite. I encourage a visit if time and your budget allow. They also offer shuttle service to nearby Tianya with reservation. If going on your own, a Didi is only about 10 or 11 yuan. It's definitely worth a visit. I traveled alone, but there were spaces and activities for pets, kids, and couples as well. I could go on and on, but I'll let my pictures talk for me. TLDR; Good location. Wonderful staff. Something for everyone. Family friendly (fun for both the human babies and fur babies). Right on the beach. Close to Tianya Haijiao. Very foreigner friendly. 10/10 recommend. 🏖

I had a gorgeous time staying here. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The pool is gorgeous and even in August summer holidays it never felt too busy anywhere. Breakfast was so tasty with lots of different options of food from western to Chinese and hainan delicacies. I’d like to give special thanks to Sharpay. She offered incredibly warm and thoughtful service during my stay. Her friendly attitude made my whole trip much more pleasant. Definitely recommend for a relaxing break.

Excellent service, great facilities and delicious food. The hotel handled things smoothly and the staying was absolutely enjoyable and relaxing.
