Chitwan Village Resort

The Resort is well located. Only two undred meters far from the main street, surrounded by rice fields close to the river. Very quite and relaxing place with a lovely garden. It is managed by Mr Rajendra whose family is also the owner. Mr Rajendra is a very helpful, kindly, polite and attentive to details man, to improve his property. In my 57 years of travelling all over the world ( 141 Countries visited... ), I suggested some little things to improve his job and mr Rajendra was very glad to know and to apply. So, when you'll stay in Chitwan Village Resort, you'll find it still better than I left it and it was already very good. We ( my wife and I ) choosed the day trip in the Park, alone, with driver and guide only, nobody else and it was worth. We met other vans with 9/12 people on board, very busy and messed up. It's a bit more expensive but if you have arrived there, for your wellness, it's worth a day alone in the jungle only with the sounds of the forest and not all the voices of other people in your camera when you make films !!! Unbeliavable the rhinos we saw !!! Plenty, with bears, deers, a lot of peacocks, unfortunatly no tigers. The guide told us that going daily in the park, he saw a tiger only one time in a year !!! So if you want to see the tiger, I said, " take your wife with you " !!! I'm jocking !!! The day after we did the river cruise with a walk in the jungle and we visited elephant's factory. Interesting, but a lot of people in the boats long the river. We always choosed the guide alone and we were in three for the rest of the day. There is nothing else to do so it's worth the experience. Three nights, included the day transfer, are enough. The breakfast is mainly salty but Mr Rajendra will offer more sweeties for european customers. Our room 212 was small and the wifi is weak, but in the end it was pleasant to stay in Chitwan Village Resort and, sure, I'll return there when Nepal will be on my program again. Overall property was pretty good with garden area and outside dining. Food was acceptable. Off the main road and so less dust and traffic noise. Fan and AC unit worked. Room not as clean as it should be. Main problem, they had screen doors on each room which made a loud banging noise every time they were closed. With about 20 rooms that can make for a lot of unpleasant noise especially at all hours of the night. Also lots of people were smoking in all of the nice outside areas, not in the rooms supposedly, which at times made it uncomfortable to sit in close proximity to them.

We had a fantastic 3 night stay at Chitwan Village Resort. The grounds are kept beautifully. Our room was spacious, although basic it was clean and was excellent value for money. The resort is only a 2-3 min walk to the river where you can see wildlife and is a nice place to have a drink at sunset. The town is only 5 mins walk in the other direction. But what made our stay so enjoyable were the staff :) Raj, the manager there is amazing, he is so wonderfully kind and helpful. Basu too, we enjoyed his friendly greetings. We enjoyed delicious breakfasts each morning, pancakes, eggs, coffee. The dinner we ate one night was delicious too. Raj helped to arranged some great trips for us, canoeing, jungle trek and jeep safari. All were very good and reasonably priced. He also booked our bus tickets to Kathmandu for us with great seats. We would recommend this friendly resort to all visiting Saurara!! Wonderful 10/10

The room, the staff, the service were all impeccable. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the resort. Breakfast was delicious, the beds comfortable, the ambience relaxing and peaceful. The staff made my stay there, exceptional. With their advice on tours and options for the park. I was well informed in my choice of tours and the best of what Chitwan has to offer. I highly recommend a stay here!

Nice big room and bathroom, very clean an comfortable. Very good breakfast. The personal are extremely friendly and helpful and can arrange all the things you need with regards to trips and tickets. Our guide on both the Jeep safari and the jungle walk spoke Ok English and was quite informative and knowledgeable. The beautiful well kept garden makes for a pleasant hangout/ chill out place. Nothing negative to say about this place.

Lovely place to stay in Sauraha while visiting Chitwan for Safari. Staff are extremely helpful & friendly and go out of their way to help including organising trips & transfers to & from bus park. Rooms are great, a/c and decent shower. Only criticism is that rooms weren't cleaned or toiletries replaced during 3 night stay. Location is also good with main street just 2 or 3 mins away with good selection of restaurants.

We stayed at this resort for one night. Large group with 6 kids. We reach the hotel quite late (9 pm is late in Nepal) and the hotel staff was kind enough to wait for us and had prepared dinner. The food was nice although the non-veg portions were little less. The rooms are quite functional and comfortable. The washroom was also alright. Next morning, for breakfast we had Paranthas and eggs and I don't have a reason to complain. Overall, quite a nice little place.

Wonderfull stay in quit place near center of Chitwan and national park. This hotel was recommend by the hotel we visited before. For a good price 3000 rup a night includes breakfast. Nice stuff to help you out with any questions. The arranged pick up to and from bus station.

Great place to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. Fantastic attentive staff that are prepared to help you in anyway. I would strongly recommend that you stay here if you’re going to Chitwan. It’s very close to the river and if you’re lucky you may see animals
