MainStay Suites Savannah Midtown

Very cool place for the price! Location is great for families. Building could use some maintenance, but I was pleased over all!

The room was clean and larger than expected. Staff was friendly and helpful. The location is a little hard to find because it's behind a business off the main road. Maybe needs a bigger sign out front. Otherwise, I enjoyed my stay!

The staff was great, but the first room (139) they gave us was dirty still and had many issues. Some issues included holes in the drywall, hair all over the floor, a dirty toilet, chunks missing from furniture, and a phone that didn't work. The next room (141) was cleaner but lacked a smoke detector and a working phone. We paid in advance so we stayed the night, but we asked for new bedsheets because the ones on the bed had a footprint on them. The staff was very apologetic and worked hard to make our stay better, but it was not the best experience we had.

My room was on the first floor towards the back of the property. My room didn’t have blinds or black out curtains. Hated sleeping or trying to sleep with white bright lights shining into the room. On my way out to vehicle, I noticed most windows didn’t have blinds. Won’t stay there again.

Very friendly staff. Good breakfast offerings. Room was clean and comfortable with a few exceptions: Toilet seat needs to be tightened- it is a slip-n-slide as well as the surface of the bathtub!

This was a very upsetting stay I’ve ever had. I had to request for another room due to the first one they gave me was dirty from linens to furniture. The second room they gave me was just as bad. Linens had dirty hand prints, pillow cases had stains, floor was greasy, bathroom had hair on the curtain, should I go on? I have pictures to show and post. I’m utterly disgusted with this hotel and would not recommend anyone to stay here.

The side door to the building nearest my room had a malfunctioning lock. It was held open with a stick. The floor of the room didn't seem to have been swept. At least the bed and bathroom were clean.

The hot water is more like Luke warm. The floors were absolutely disgusting, like walking around outside with no shoes on. The parking lot was nasty, and trash everywhere. The outside door close to the elevator didn’t work at all. The breakfast was great. The room was nice and large, and seemed to be okay for our weekend. We will look for other lodging next time we come to stay.

I guess this boils down to “you get what you pay for”. We checked into our room which happened to have an adjoining room door. The adjacent party of approximately 8 people (estimated from all of the voices) can in around 4am, turned the music on loudly, and began smoking. Around 5:30 we called the front desk due to the continued noise and smoking. The front desk was quick to respond and they stopped for about 5 minutes then resumed the music with a different speaker. They also then began smoking ********* in addition to nicotine. By 8am the party was still going and we went to breakfast. I asked if that party was checking out and explained our complaints. They told us they would not be checking out but WE could move rooms later in the day. This was disappointing that they were allowed to stay and we were inconvenienced. Later we were moved to another room which was clean and free of parties next door. However, they must have used a floor wax that was not appropriate for the newer vinyl planking and it was like ice skating across the floor and socks wee really black. We didn’t mention this because at this point it was a better room than having all of our belongings smell like smoke. I do not recommend this hotel for the lack of follow through with policy.
