Casa Pepe

From the moment I arrived, the hostel was amazing. The staff is super friendly—Astrid, Grecia, Enrique, Erick, Luis. Excellent service, great vibes in the place, super clean, and I love that they pay attention to every detail a traveler might need. The decor is fantastic. Every moment I spent at the hostel was incredible. Mornings started with yoga with Sarah, which was amazing and such a great way to start the day full of energy. The breakfast at their restaurant was delicious every morning, and in the afternoon, relaxing by the pool was wonderful. The staff organized activities like lotería, karaoke, and bar promotions. My experience here was a 10/10. I felt at home and it was hard to leave. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will definitely return to Sayulita and, of course, to Casa Pepe.

We thought this was in puerto Bayarta when we first booked it because that’s what it advertised but it turns out it was actually an hour away. That area is very safe a lot of things to do there, everyone in the area is nice and helpful when looking for good spots to eat every thing is within walking distance

The staff at Casa Pepe were wonderful and the beds were very comfortable despite my cranky back. I slept well and enjoyed getting to know fellow solo travelers.

Beautiful room and pool space. Decorated very nicely and great price for what you get. Staff were all lovely and welcoming. Favourite part was the pool. Only feedback is that the safe did not work, the patio doors did not lock, and the air conditioner was always leaking (it got all over our clothes). However, the hotel felt super safe. Also please note that there is construction across the street which made it very loud! They also play music from 3pm to 11pm. We didn't mind it and Sayulita is generally a pretty loud/busy place! Overall rating would be 7/10.

Wonderful staff and location in Sayulita! Breakfast included and wonderful rooftop pool and decks. Rooms were very much as described, with comfortable beds and lighting. Like a lot of lodging in Sayulita, can be a very noisy place in early morning due to traffic and roosters.

It's always nice to be met with genuine welcome, and I felt it here. I am a 30-something solo traveler, so I enjoyed the fact that it didn't feel completely like a young person's hostel and I could work and enjoy quiet time. Astrid was kind enough to go out of her way to make sure my longer-term stay was comfortable. I highly recommend the female dorm if your a solo traveler and want extra space, comfort, and quiet. It's a big plus that is unique to this hostel over all the others I've stayed in this town.

Casa Pepe is a nice property in a great location. The bar staff at the pool were amazing and the younger aged guests made it a really fun time. Our room did have a leak in the air conditioner or ceiling as our bag and clothes ended up getting soaked when we woke up in the morning. Our stay also included a complementary breakfast however when we were done breakfast the staff gave us a bill. When we reminded them about the free breakfast they told us only one item on the menu was free. This was never explained to us when we sat down when we told the server that our breakfast was included. The staff was rude to us and told us we needed to pay. Then upon checking out they accused us of stealing the air conditioning remote. It was disappointing to leave on such a bad note. We felt like they were trying to get every last peso they could from us on our way out the door. They also ignored the fact that our clothes and bag were soaked from their leaking ceiling when we told them about it.

This was my first solo vacation. From the moment I stepped in to the lobby, I was welcomed by the staff in particular Maddie! She invited me to all of the activities but didn’t pressure me. She was incredibly kind and checked on me every time we crossed paths. I stayed in a private room, was super clean and felt safe. I will definitely be back!

Female dorms were spacious, half occupied and cleaned well. The staff are friendly and take time and effort to plan activities.
