Serengeti Safari Lodge

Enjoyed our time at the lodge which we stayed for two nights though not consecutively. Due to our safari trip being a loop around the Serengeti, we had returned for a second night. The rooms itself seemed a bit older and the second night in a different room was better. Because it was partly a canvas tent, be aware that you might have some rather large spiders visit! But we were in nature so it was not unexpected. Nevertheless, the rooms were quite spacious, warm, and the bed comfortable allowing for good sleep. It also offered a large balcony where we were treated one morning with a view of giraffes right outside. We counted a total of 16! We were greeted by friendly staff upon arrival which continued throughout both stays. We ate fish one night which was particularly delicious but all meals were tasty. Overall, the accommodation deserves a high rating because of the service, location, and meal options.

Just spent 2 nights in the fab camp in the heart of the Serengeti with my daughter. We loved our stay here. Faraja looked after all our needs. It was incredibly quiet while we were there but that was to be expected given the time of year. The location is super, right in the heart of the Serengeti. The standard of the accommodation is excellent and looking out from your balcony in the cabin, you would swear there wasn’t another person in the whole area… it has stunning views. The beds were so comfie. We enjoyed drinks by the pool with an amazing view both afternoons after our safari’s. If there was one fault, the food was rather poor. It was à la carte and a bit disappointing but that definitely did not take from our enjoyment of this stay.

Lovely accommodation, helpful staff, hot shower indoors and out and a really comfy bed! I heard lions and hyenas at night. What more can a person ask for? Food was great and there was a good range of options. The pool area was clean and a welcome treat after a hot and dusty day in the Jeep.

We stayed at Serengeti safari lodge for 1 night during our safari in the central Serengeti. We did like this lodge but could do with some improvements. The food was really lovely and tasty! And the staff were friendly! So no complaints in either of those respects! The lodge itself was really big! Lots of space, 2 large beds in the room, aswell as sofa, large bathroom with shower, loo and a bath with views over the plains, a large balcony with outside seating and view of the Serengeti! Our view wasn’t the best due to the controlled fires they had carried out, so instead of seeing the beautiful Serengeti we was overlooking just black burnt grass, and the smell of burning. But we understand these controlled fires happen every July and for a good reason for the animals. We also understand there is nothing the lodge can do, it is out of their control so nothing against the lodge at all regarding this. Just a few things that could be improved at this lodge was: 1. Dirty bath - It didn’t look like the bath had been cleaned, it had visible dirt in. which is a shame as the bath overlooks the Serengeti through a large window right next to it. 2. The door to our lodge didn’t close properly. We could lock it, but even locked, part of the door wasn’t actually closed fully, had a gap in? 3. We also had no hot water at all. So showering with freezing cold water wasn’t ideal. Especially when you feel super dirty from a day out on safari covered in dust! Because of these reasons above my partner probably would have rated 3 stars, but I think due to how large the lodge is and the friendly staff and good food I have rated 4. Overall a good stay, with just some things that could be improved on to make it a 5 star stay! Views of the Serengeti from the balcony impossible to believe, pancakes awesome, Frank is a legend and we awoke to find elephants in the garden. We stayed three nights and spent one day at the lodge. The food was greta with the best sausages and pankes I had in Tanzania, love the Spanish omelette! Unbelievable!

We stayed here for one night as part of our 5-day safari. As a family of five, we were accommodated in two houses-tents, lodges. The experience was wonderful. From the lodge, you have a wonderful view of the landscape and you can see, and above all, hear the calls of animals. Especially at night, you can hear the calls of various animals. The beds are very comfortable, and protected by a mosquito net... I must admit that I did not expect to sleep so well. The food was fine, the staff was very friendly and willing to help. In the evening, for your safety, they escort you from the restaurant to the lodge, because of all the animals that move freely around the accommodation.

We stayed at Serengeti Safari Lodge for two nights, This lodge is Amazing!!!!!! The swimming pool the restaurant, the views it was all amazing. The rooms were very cleans and the view from the bathtub was absolutely breathtaking. Thank You for an amazing experience

We stayed three nights at this beautiful lodge. We had a whole house to ourselves. It was extremely comfortably furnished with the luxury of a large terrace and a bath looking out over the most amazing landscape. Elephants, giraffe, hyenas and elephants were in full view from our windows. The food was excellent, and most importantly, the staff were all absolutely charming… A special mention of gratitude goes to the dear Maasai, who escorted us every evening to supper and who were impressive and wonderful.
