Desert Quiver Camp

The quiver camp rooms are very spacious with effective air con. They are nicely decorated and very up together. Modern bathroom facilities, super comfy bed and a sofa to sit on. The kitchen area is fine although the utensil boxes were a bit basic and had things missing. The breakfast is raken at the Sossusvlei lodge 3km down the road which was excellent. The receptionist was very charming and helpful. Areas for potential improvement include some cold water in the fridge, this would have been appreciated at the end of a long hot day on arrival but the biggest issue we noted was the lack of umberellas around the pool. There were 3 which were quickly taken, meaning 5 other people sat huddled in the shade of the bar and couldn't make use of the remaining sun loungers by the pool. I heard them muttering and unhappy and felt slightly guilty under the shade of mine. All in all a very good stay.

Das Camp ist gut gelegen um in den Namib-Naukluft Nationalpark zu kommen. Die Häuser sind relativ neu bzw. frisch renoviert. Das Zimmer ist echt groß und gut unterteilt in Wohn- Schlafbereich und Badezimmer. Sauberkeit der Unterkunft war Top! Wenn man den Grill benutzen möchte bekommt man die Ausstattung Saft an der Rezeption übergeben, ansonsten hat man einen Kühlschrank und Wasserkocher. Frühstück bekommt man 4 Autominuten in Richtung Nationalpark. Die Anlage ist gepflegt und die Umgebung ist recht ruhig. Das Personal ist nett und hilfsbereit

Son unos cabañitas muy bonitas, con todo lo necesario, tienen cocina y barbacoa. El restaurante para el desayuno y la cena se encuentra a 4km en el otro campamento de Sossusvlei Lodge.

Super cool place to stay. In the middle of the desert, huge rooms and a !!pool!!! which was very welcome after a day out in the sun. I would definitely recommend this to my friends. Staff was welcoming and the location was great, just try to arrive when the sun is out

This is the second time we have stayed at Desert Quiver Camp and were not disappointed. The chalets are comfortable and you can braai outside your chalet. The night skies are amazing. I had very good service from the reservations agent who went out of her way to assist, even with booking the sossusvlei nature drive. This is a lovely option of accommodation at Sossusvlei.

The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Had a great 2 night stay. Room comfortable and cool. We self catered using the 2 ring plugin electric hob and braai. A box of crockery can be collected from reception for a N$300 deposit. Late afternoon at the pool is bliss. They provide towels. My only recommendation would be for a shaded parking for car. The camp is 5min drive to the Park gate. From gate to Sossusvlei is approx 60km. There is a speed limit of 60 but certainly heading out to the dunes the av speed was 100!!!

A great place to stay with the park nearby. Staff is always friendly and helpful. However I do have suggestions to improve. Have multiple bins for recycling the trash instead of one big bin (at least near reception as in your other lodge). Install solar Panels so you become independent which would be very easy at that location and with aircon on 24/7 that is a must in my eyes. Else all good 👍

Excellent location, very close to main entrance of Sossusvlei. Very nice chalets, well equipped, comfortable for 3-4 people (note the pull out bed is a bit narrow for 2 adults). Very friendly staff. We used both the self-catering equipment (with braai) and for breakfast, but also enjoyed the buffet 1 evening at the main lodge. We were happy to use breakfast at the chalet, since you need to use your car when going to the main lodge.
