We spent three nights at Bedhost Homestay, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. The peace and the beautiful green surroundings make for a truly relaxing stay. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. They know the area very well and assisted us with everything, from arranging a laundry service to planning activities. The bike tour they offer is truly a highlight! We rode on brand-new bicycles through local villages and visited small family-run factories where tempeh, tofu, crackers(kerupuk), and bricks are made. Additionally, we got a unique glimpse into local village life and farming. It was fascinating to see how farmers work. If you’re a fan of local art, the batik created by Javanese artists in the area is a must-see. A perfectly faclilitaded bike-tour! As for the owner himself, Bedhost (his nickname), there’s a lot to say. He is a VW-classic car enthusiast and an artist, which is clearly reflected in the architecture of the cottages and the stunning woodwork. His philosophy of slow living is evident everywhere, making this the perfect place to unwind after busy days filled with activities.
